You are correct this will not be the end of troubleshooting the fountain. I had the same Lion Fountain in fiberglass that I got from Lowe’s Box Store 20 years ago. I had to insert a smaller tube into the lion’s mouth tube to reduce the water flow velocity so that it would actually fall into the top water basin. One I had that taken care of, I had trouble with the top basin left tube clogging up. I put up with the issues for many years because I love the look of it. Sadly we had to leave it behind when we sold the house in Nashville. Hopefully you’ll have better luck than I did.
Everything is looking great! The fountain looks so beautiful! A light shining on it a night would be magical! You’re giving me so many ideas for my own garden! Have a great day!⛲️🦮🌸
The 2nd video with Kate helping you with your front door pots was so informative. I actually liked it better than per talk @ the event. You are making some awesome garden friends and we are getting the benefit.
Hi Janey - the garden is looking stupendous. I wanted to share my drama with fountain pumps. I have two fountains and it seems that these pumps (no matter the brand) go out like every 18 months or so. So I started reading and from all that I read they suggested never turning the fountain off. Yep that seems counterintuitive to me but I saw that in several places. The pumps are not built to be turned on and off. Your fountain looks and sounds great.
Hi Janey🌺 . The begonia and the prowallia plants are going to be amazing . The fountain looks so pretty and the sound of the water is calm . Have a wonderful day .🌺🌻🌺
Shade garden looking so nice and your future plans for the sound beautiful too. I also hope the fountain pump works because I just love that fountain more than other one I've seen.
I really love how this side garden is coming together ❤!! I think it’s going to end up being my favorite area on your property. Love the idea of the comfy chair. Just seems like such a calming spot. Beautiful!
I love your shade garden, it's like a private area. It's looking more and beautiful. So glad you and Jason got the fountain running right. I love the sound of running water. It makes me feel like am at the creek. Great video. Just love y'all. ❤
I wrestled with my fountain yesterday. It's in 3 pieces and pretty heavy for just me to deal with. I was trying to level it up and clean it out to get it started for the season. OMG....seeing the shop vac and how easy that made your job will be life-changing for me too. I HAVE a shop vac....why did I not think to use that? I have a bird bath too. Thank you (and whoever orginally suggested to you)!
Janey everything is so beautiful right now. The perfect time for blooms. I think Mr. Glassman's suggestion of a boxwood border is good though because it will give your garden some structure and interest in the winter when the flowers are dormant and nothing is blooming. I suppose you could add some boxwood topiaries in pots or dwarf spruces for winter interest at any time. I love to see how your plantings unfold and prosper. Happy planting-Carol K
It's a great community of caring people that come together for each other. What a great tip on the shopvac. The plantings look great and I love that pesky lion!
The shade garden is coming along so beautiful. I think I would add some lights to the fountain area maybe to highlight the fountain. Other than that I think it’s fabulous. 😊
Your garden is looking great Very sweet puppy. He wants to help. I have a cat that help me lol. I decorated my greenhouse yesterday . We just got it up. I just love it. Happy gardening Janey.
If the fountain water gives you anymore issues… see if the hose that Carrie’s the water from the bottom to the top has a clap with a screw .. if you do… that clap can control the water pressure by tightening or loosening the screw. I totally agree with a comfy chair.
Looking good, Monty needing some lovin’ from Mama when you were planting was cute. He wanted some attention too. The shade garden looks and sounds nice.
I just bought for the first time the endless illumination, it is gorgeous, the purple illuminates so beautifully. Have it in complete shade it is doing so well I’m going to go to my garden shop and buy more
Your shade garden is really great I like the arches which makes it feel like a cosy room. The colour you are adding to it today is a nice pop of beauty!
Here in Michigan most times we have to wait until May to plant in the ground so it takes us awhile for our plants to reach their full potential. Not real long because it does get hot here, hot and humid, maybe not 100 degrees but with our humidity on the SW side of Michigan it can feel like a 100 degrees. I don’t know if all areas of the country have real feel temps, but we do with the combination of heat and humidity or the cold and wind in the winter our temperatures may say one thing but real feel is another. Real feel doesn’t affect our trees and shrubs but it can sure do a number on humans and livestock or pets. 🌷💚🙃
It's coming together so nicely! It made me want to make a shade garden on the side of my house. Imagine if there was a wall of creeping fig on the fence. That would be beautiful as a backdrop to the lion fountain.
Coffee first thing and Janey❤ I’m excited every morning to see what u r planting. Shade garden is looking so nice. Love the idea of black shutters, window boxes and a chair! Great vision.
Can you explain what you did to your shop vac to use it to clean out the fountain ? I need to find a better way to clean out ours. Thank you, your side yard is looking so pretty.
Love your channel Janey! I’m so inspired by your videos! Have you done a video about your entryway to your shade garden? In particular, how you created your wire trellis? If not, I would love to see how you did it ❤️. Thank youI 😊
What about a Japanese Maple in the shade garden. Costco usually sells them in the summer. Your garden will be so fabulous by the end of the summer. You & Jason are working so hard on it.
I grew Surefire White in containers last summer and they were probably close to 3x3. My husband loved them so much insisted that we get twice as many this year :)
I love this shady area, glad you figured out the fountain. When you cut those suckers, put some stump and vine killer on those, ask Eileen if that would damage the tree itself, I’m thinking not, but then again what do I know.
The shade garden looks great even better with the fountain. I planted SurFire White Begonias last year in full sun and they did wonderful such a workhorse annual I’m planting it again this year.
I would “dig “ it if you could put the list of your plants in your description because I can’t take notes while I’m driving :-) 😂 9:07 everything is looking swell!
I am so loving your shade garden area! Congrats on getting the fountain working correctly. I've had so many nightmares with fountains and now I'm inspired to try once again to make one work for me! Where did you get that little Shop-Vac by the way???
I don't understand why you're waiting to plant the hydrangea. In my experience it will be much happier in the ground, as well as easier to care for! I love what you're doing with the new property.
Looking good. You may have to paint stump killer on those suckers and possibly cut and treat for a while to get rid of them. I've still got suckers coming up yards from the stump of an ornamental plum that was cut down a year ago.
MORNING sun on hostas should be okay for you as long as their getting ample water. Because we live so close to Walters gardens I’ve seen hostas growing in an open no shade field. My eyes just about popped out of my head when I saw hostas growing in those conditions. IF I remember correctly they weren’t blue hostas they were mostly the green variety but I THINK hostas can take a little more sun than we give them credit for as long as they’re getting enough water. Just my opinion because my eyes have seen. 🌷💚🙃
Good Morning Janey! I had surefire white Begonia last year in hot sun most of the day and it was very happy, bloomed so nicely all the way to fall. I want that Browallia next year, tried one from seed, but this one has bigger blooms.
I am loving your channel and the progress on your shade garden. You will love the browellia. I have used it for a couple of years and it gives me nice blue color to my shade garden.
I planted Surefire cherry cordial begonias in full sun last year. It was in a large pot and got to 2’ tall by 3’ wide. Much different than the 4 pack begonias.
I love it when you try new things! I'm always on the.look out for shade color, so I'm excited to watch the browallia develop... I have never heard of it before and never seen it where I live! I know you will keep us posted! My fountain is also constant trouble, but have to have them! It all looks gorgeous!
Loving it! If you put a comfy chair there maybe you could put the paver diamond pattern floor in that little square to tie it to the rest of your garden? Just a thought.
Will you please tell me if I can mix anything up to make sul-po-mag? I am trying to keep from ordering it. I look forward to seeing your videos everyday. I'm amazed how beautiful your yard is beginning to look. I have been watching you for about a year now and I do enjoy it.
Hi Janey why are you waiting until your hydrangea is dormant before you plant it, I am obviously missing something? Love your channel, garden is looking great.
I just planted Endless Illumination blue and white in my shady pond area. First time growing it. Jenny from Creekside Nursery says it’s a good blooming alternative to impatiens.
Janey your shade garden is looking sooo good. Glad you got the fountain working ! By any chance do you you know where you got your blouse ??? Love it. So enjoyed this video thank you . P.S. your Jason is such a sweet husband you are blessed and so is he with you !!!
Good morning. Curious why didn’t you just ask Robby what size of pump he used? Robby has the same fountain. I love your coffee talks and the new garden tours.
I hope that violet is only the color and not an actual violet. I have volunteer violets. They take over and u can't get rid of them. Pretty but very invasive. Your shade garden is going to be so pretty.
So funny you mentioned begonias, I recently got whiskey begonias and they are really pretty. I was thinking it would go well in front of your star Jasmine for your black and white theme. My backyard is really windy and my Star Jasmine had a vine that dried out and it was the wind that snapped it. So whenever I see a star jasmine dry up I think its that the vine got snapped by the wind. I don't have a dog but my neighbors walk their dogs around the front lawn so things get the dog treatment and I need to know what someone does for that for the lawn and flowers in general. What do you do about that?

Leo, the lion fountain is working wonderful. Everything looks beautiful. You have done a fantastic job, Janey!!❤❤
The sound of water 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️persistence the key to success! Congrats the shade garden is a special place yes comfy chair for you to rest and dream!!

Glad to see the fountain running. Love the sound of the water
My Mom used to say cross your fingers and toes! Lol I’m glad you got the fountain working right. Everything looks lovely. ❤
I really love how this side garden is coming together ❤!! I think it’s going to end up being my favorite area on your property. Love the idea of the comfy chair. Just seems like such a calming spot. Beautiful!
Good morning DPWR friends😂
Good morning Lisa!

This motivates me to work with irrigation lines for my raised beds. The whole process has been so daunting to me😂
Hi Janey!!! You could try putting a small rug or carpet remnant over the almond tree suckers then mulch on top of the rug. 😊 Works great!
Love the puppy love while gardening!
Tons of beautiful plants! so exciting!
Your garden is looking great
Very sweet puppy. He wants to help. I have a cat that help me lol. I decorated my greenhouse yesterday . We just got it up. I just love it. Happy gardening Janey.
Oooh make the comfy chair an outdoor recliner. 🥰🥰

Good Morning! Shade garden looking great!😊
Wow , its crazy how much You have accomplished in a few months,
Everything is coming to life
Janie, you might want to consider putting on lower level bird netting to keep out the leaves
I love the lion head fountain ⛲️ 😊
I love shde gardens, and I can tell yours is going to be amazing! I think its my favorite spot on your property!
Your shade garden is becoming my fav!!
Fountain looks and sounds really great. Going to be a really nice area.

Janie I love your happy smiles, work lovely gardens and even the nice music you choose. Thanks for all you do and share.
Love your channel Janey! I’m so inspired by your videos! Have you done a video about your entryway to your shade garden? In particular, how you created your wire trellis? If not, I would love to see how you did it ❤️. Thank youI 😊

Looks really nice... I have a shade garden in the east side of house a Long narrow strip to give privacy from neighbors.
I love this shady area, glad you figured out the fountain. When you cut those suckers, put some stump and vine killer on those, ask Eileen if that would damage the tree itself, I’m thinking not, but then again what do I know.
💜Love your Heuchera collection, especially the purple! 💜
Good morning friend...maybe those Browalia planted with something that flowers orange? The orange and purple are magic!!!🧡💜
Orange Begonias or geum
The shade garden looks great even better with the fountain. I planted SurFire White Begonias last year in full sun and they did wonderful such a workhorse annual I’m planting it again this year.
Shade garden is looking really great!! 🥳
What a lovely shade garden, I love it! You’re going to really enjoy it come summer!
Everything looks so pretty! The fountain is lovely! 😻M
I would “dig “ it if you could put the list of your plants in your description because I can’t take notes while I’m driving :-) 😂 9:07 everything is looking swell!
Such an amazing space!
Janey it looks awesome since the March video. I love your shade area. So peaceful.
I am so loving your shade garden area! Congrats on getting the fountain working correctly. I've had so many nightmares with fountains and now I'm inspired to try once again to make one work for me! Where did you get that little Shop-Vac by the way???
It looks like a Ryobi wet-dry vacuum. Home Depot sells them.
Forgot to add have you seen the Heuchera Indian summer series? the colours are amazing the sun shining through the leaves is amazing.
I don't understand why you're waiting to plant the hydrangea. In my experience it will be much happier in the ground, as well as easier to care for! I love what you're doing with the new property.

Try "Sucker Punch" for the olive tree suckers. It really worked on my crabapple suckers.
Oh my goodness the shade garden is coming along nicely! Love the fountain.

Wow 🤩 shade garden looking amazing & fountain ⛲️ is beautiful. So peaceful. New chair would be perfect ❤🎉
Will you please tell me if I can mix anything up to make sul-po-mag? I am trying to keep from ordering it. I look forward to seeing your videos everyday. I'm amazed how beautiful your yard is beginning to look.
I have been watching you for about a year now and I do enjoy it.
Hi Janey
why are you waiting until your hydrangea is dormant before you plant it, I am obviously missing something?
Love your channel, garden is looking great.
Janey just put a tiny rubber tube in Lion’s mouth to direct water where you want.
love your choices
I just planted Endless Illumination blue and white in my shady pond area. First time growing it. Jenny from Creekside Nursery says it’s a good blooming alternative to impatiens.
Janey your shade garden is looking sooo good. Glad you got the fountain working ! By any chance do you you know where you got your blouse ??? Love it. So enjoyed this video thank you . P.S. your Jason is such a sweet husband you are blessed and so is he with you !!!
Why not put a little shelf on that side window with the table and chairs underneath. You could put little herb or flower pots there? ❤
Oh my let me shop my side yard😂
So beautiful! Love your garden! What was the tip given to you about the shop vac?
Michigan person here. You’re right, begonias do not get as tall as yours. They are a staple in my garden each year.
Good morning. Curious why didn’t you just ask Robby what size of pump he used? Robby has the same fountain. I love your coffee talks and the new garden tours.
Janey, could you use a product called Sucker Stop' and paint it on the sucker from the pecan tree?
I think you need a Japanese maple (Acer) for that corner.
Aloha from Oahu!
BULA AND GOOD EVENING FROM FIJI🌺🌺🇫🇯
Cannas would be great in your zone
I hope that violet is only the color and not an actual violet. I have volunteer violets. They take over and u can't get rid of them. Pretty but very invasive. Your shade garden is going to be so pretty.
I have violets all over the place and I never planted them. Very hard to get rid of they look like weeds
Could you do the “paint herbicide on the suckers” method without hurting the main tree?
Janie what is the name of the fertilizer you put in the ground before putting the plant? And what it does for the plant
Great progress! How does coleus do in your area? That would be nice in the shade garden.
New to channel. Love Cali. Live in TX. Curious why you won’t plant hydrangea now? Is it warming up? It is here. 😊
You might try ‘Sucker Punch’ for the olive suckers coming into your garden beds. It’s worked great for me.
I sure hope so! I get those same suckers Janey has and cannot get rid of them. I bought sucker punch to try!
@@glassiegirl YES, I've had great success with it. Just follow the directions. Good luck, you got this!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
