You're entirely too over-eager to attack targets, especially boss targets. They typically give massive pauses between their attack patterns to allow for punishing, all you have to do is bait out their attacks and wait for their openings. (Ranged attacks, I have found, are especially preferrable for this, because you don't need to close distance as much and can stay away when they resume attacking- although once you know the size of your window for punishing, time-wise, these matches _generally_ become pretty simple.)
I watch and enjoy NLs content like slay the spire. I enjoy being here, watching Baers content especially the long form stuff this vod and dd1&2. I think that says alot.
Watching you play the game and hearing your frustrations - I gotta say, that the game is difficult and unforgiving, but not in an unfair way You have to be able to understand at every moment whats actually happening, once you get that, it gets a lot easier Everybody has the exact same experience with this game - its all just a learning curve, as enemies always have the same attacking patterns (progressing with the level stages), so its mostly about dodging at the right moment, just like in eldenring give it another try and you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel, I promise Alright, enough of that, I enjoyed your gameplay as always. With bosses, the thing is you need to let them do their attacks while they have the yellow invulnerability highlight (cant be stunned) and just dodge, and after they finish you stun-combo them. That's the only way to kill them efficiently without taking damage. They do 3 attack moves on end of chapter 1, 4 attack moves on chapter 2, and 5 on chapter 3. Once you dance to those moves, you combo them to death. Its too hard by not following this pattern. I found the game much easier only when I unlocked much more arcana options later in the game. Some combinations are just great. Others kinda s.uck. Its a matter of finding good arcana combinations that fit your playstyle. Its quite tough in the beginning. But if you invest enough time and effort it becomes super enjoyable. I won a run after 11 hours or so with a broken critical build.
Ya gotta look at your type affinities. Fire is weak to ice/water. You made a couple of assumptions like that along the way that made things way harder on yourself. Elec for instance was helping you there. You're making good progress with timing and patterns though

Griftlands does have that shorter game-mode which cuts out the story elements for game content - would love to see it on the wheel
