Snake is the number one Raider of all time! I would have thought that this fact was indisputable.
They were always in the game with Stabler. His games always felt on the edge.
He and Staubach were the most clutch QBs of the '70s, but their comebacks were different. Staubach was a steady guy that you knew was going to win it before he even took the first snap of the winning drive. Stabler, you knew as well that he was going to pull off the win, but he was going to take you on a crazy ride to get there.

Carr definitely not a legend with zero playoff wins and no division titles. Lamonica was a better Raider QB than Carr having taken the team to a SB and 3 straight championship games and 5 division titles.

As wonderful as Jim Plunkett was in big games and even though he has two Super Bowl rings to Kenny's one, Plunkett never had to play postseason after postseason against Chuck Noll's great Steelers teams of the 1970's! If those Steelers teams had been in the NFC, then Stabler would have gone to more than just one Super Bowl and if those great Steelers teams had come along in a different era, Stabler would definitely have more than one Super Bowl ring! Plunkett was great, but the "Snake" was better!

Plunket is just as RAIDER as Snake. Plunket also endured highs & lows in an uneven journey through big time football. He is Hispanic & Native American, which makes him a fine RAIDER. And, like all the rest, he found a home with the RAIDERS. The men in the silver hats. And, he is one of the greats.🏈⚔️☠️

I think in many respects Stabler is the number 1 raider all time. He just embodied what the 70's raiders were all about. Its between him and Ted Hendricks for me. Stabler representing offense, Hendricks defense. Hendricks was probably the better player but the snake gets the nod as the greatest raider in my book by the slimmest of margins.

"The sea of hands" play. One of the most dramatic plays in one of the most dramatic games played by the Raiders. Don't know how Stabler got that ball out and then to put where it had to be is still amazing to watch. Yeah, I don't get why he said that. Yes, Jim plunket has 2 super bowls Super Bowl and Super Bowl mvp, but he was mostly a backup and Stabler was a long term starter as a raider. Plus Stabler won an mvp as well so that helps.

Stabler was much better than Jim Plunkett. What a stupid comment. Plunkett was 72-72 as a QB, never an all pro, and was benched on occasion for Mark Wilson. Ridiculous. This is why sports writers shouldn't be voting for the HOF
You have to compare their stats as Raiders only and it's much closer. Plunkett was 38-19 as a starter, but more importantly, 8-2 in the postseason, which dwarf's Stabler's record.
It is SNAKE, not the snake.... jeez....
