FA you’re the man, I feel your pain about the Vikings loss, bc i’m a Giants fan, I love all your videos, I was wondering if you would do a Giants offseason breakdown on what we can do in FA, Draft and etc. God bless you bro, enjoy the New Year.
Lions fan, you guys gotta chill with blaming Darnold so soon. You guys are having a hell of a year and you happened to go up against a terrifying defense without much of one of your own. KOC was not doing any favors with his choices of playcalling either.
The best way to describe the Vikings Season is the Mets 2022 Season. Overachieve with no expectations and have a fun season only for it to come to a bitter end at the hand of your rivals, in a cutthroat division no less, thus flinging you into the death pit of a team you had problems with before as a result. Ouch...
It’s his team and they would’ve got an easier path to the Super Bowl now there chances are slim I’m a lions fan I would be just as upset if not more than me

As a lions fan, I love your analysis every week! Viks played a tough game in the first half. Though I don't want to see the viks a third time, I want to see y'all succeed!
Darnold’s misses in the red zone, particularly on the goal line, doomed them. But had he hit a few of those open receivers it would’ve been a completely different game. They can beat Detroit, but their margin for error is much smaller than the Lions’
I know that one hurt, man. I really feel for you right now. I really do hope your team goes pretty far. Never give up hope, even if it seems like there isn’t any. 👍💯
I guess the question about the Lions defence being Super Bowl worthy has been answered. Amik Robertson really showed his quality last night. What a signing!
Tbf I think the lions captured the ghost of MetLife and brought them to ford field. Granted we won this game but Goff had a down game vs the Texans and bounced back big time, hopefully darnold does the same vs the rams
As a Lions fan i think yall are scapegoating Darnold. He didnt play great, but KOC deserves more blame imo. He kept calling long pass plays when the Lions were blitzing too heavy to allow those routes to develop.
Hey dude, love your work. Always watch when I can and your content is honestly some of the best in yt. Obv sucks when your team loses, especially in this scenario when contending for the 1st seed. Go Bills and love from Australia.
As a chiefs fan, I hope people realize how important Mahomes is to the chiefs. Watching that game was worse than the Super Bowl loss and that was ……….. bad. I think the Vikings will be fine. They did not need that bye as much as the lions did, but a bye is a bye so the Vikings now have to travel on the road across the country. The team I worry about the most is the chargers. Once again a fifth seed will be traveling to a low record Houston team. Flacco definitely has more experience than Herbert even he is better than Flacco. We should see 1235 matchups in each conference for the divisional round anything else should be considered an upset.
Yeah I don't think anyone with grooves in their brain has an issue seeing mahomes' value. Not sure what you expected with a team playing a preseason roster against a team that needed to win to get into the playoffs.
To be fair i don't think Vikings would've had 14 wins with a rookie McCarthy. I've always said this team just needed an elite QB to be contenders and he could become that in a few years, but never did I expect Darnold being the guy to get this many wins for them.
Don’t see how Vikings fans can be upset even if they are one and done in the playoffs. This team drafted a rookie qb this year just making the playoffs would’ve been a win . Nobody expected anything from Sam Darnold. Did Vikings fans really think Sam Darnold was taking them to the superbowl . This is a great building and stepping stone for the future year .
Is it really all on Sam? I mean he made a few bad throws but a lot of what I saw was him running around like a chicken with his head cut off because the O Line was playing like trash. Also why are we not running the ball at all near the goal line?
Vikings have some outstanding defensive personnel, but they haven't really beaten any good teams this year. The best team they've beaten is probably the Packers, who in turn also haven't beaten anyone and just lost to the Bears.
Some of the offensive calls were just weird. Don’t know if it was Sam struggling to see the coverage or the OC getting tricked but I mean the lions got away with man coverage wayyyy too often considering the WR talent. Lions were also fairly obvious in their blitz attack yet there wasn’t a route underneath and Sam was sacked or tucking before the play even developed. On a real note though what do you think about the Sam vs JJ argument? Keep seeing people say the Vikings max Sam and trade JJ and I’m curious what your thoughts are/what you would prefer?
The smart thing to do is to sign Darnold to only a year or two, not a full max. JJ getting hurt sets them back a whole year despite how well the Vikings did this season
@ does Darnold accept that though? I feel like other teams will be offering a multi year deal. I agree though sure JJ has had a season to learn and be in the QB room, but getting reps and practice is pivotal to the sit and learn method. I could just see a desperate team offering Sam top money over multiple years and considering how rocky his career has been til now, that would be nice to lock in as much money as possible
In defense of Darnold, he's never played a meaningful post-Thanksgiving game in his nfl career. I have to imagine this kind of postseason type pressure is a little to handle, especially on the road against the arguably best team in the league. And Darnold is a backup after all. Minnesota has gotten the most mileage out a backup qb since Drew Bledsoe went down in New England.
As a lions fan, i’m really sorry about the loss. You guys have a great team and a great story, and you deserve a deep playoff run as much as anyone. The lions win has me feeling euphoric, but i can’t help but feel for you guys too
Take heart it's hard to beat a team three times in a season. I greatly remember the Patriots fan New England beating the Giants barely on the last day of the season only to lose them in the Super bowl. Play clever coach lake Kevin O'Connell could even bait the superior team by not showing him anything and week 18 or deceiving him only to bust out something much greater in the playoffs... I honestly feel the Vikings are better off losing in week 18
If people really paid attention to their first meeting you could see lots of the big plays were contested catches, missed tackles, defensive breakdowns etc. Also the Vikings got very lucky on the late turnover that led to a score. Lots of things went "right" for that game to have been that close and you just knew that wasn’t going to sustain. I saw this ass kicking coming from a mile away. The Vikings are nowhere near the Lions atm.
I have never been so mad after a win as a patriots fan, glad mayo is gone and I don't want vrabel either. We need a Ben Johnson to help Drake flourish.
Darnold played a terrible game but to be fair it wasn’t all on him. Jefferson and Addison were blanketed all game. The o-line couldn’t protect Darnold from second and third stringers. The defense held up well for most of the game but if the offense can’t pull their weight then there’s not much more a defense can do. Combine it with failed 4th down conversions in the red zone and yet another shitty kicker, and the Vikings are primed to go for another 1 and done in the playoffs. The Rams are red hot and if this is the best they can do, they don’t stand a chance in SoFi.
Truth is Vikings coulda been in this game and won and they didn’t because of Darnold and this is why you can’t depend on him long term. “Washed Kirk or Rodgers score 2/3 tds on the 3 failed 1-4th down td attempts. Same couldn’t make the throws he ain’t the guy. Not to say they can’t comeback and win still but he’s just not that consistent dependable killer u need in the big games at qb. He choked and was seeing ghosts out there lmao. SMH.
Blaming Darnold when Aaron Glenn dialed up the best coverage and blitz package set since the Ray Lewis Ravens is not analytical. There are 4 QBs in the NFL that have shown they could survive and win such an onslaught. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson and Burrow. No QB does well in such conditions. I put this on the O-Line and D-Line coaches not preparing their men for the ferocity. However, being punched in the mouth like that... bodes well for The Billy Goat Heads in LA. They will be as pissed as Campbell had the Lions and that will serve them well. Just as seeing the Bucs if they survive Washington, will be good for Detroit. It should be interesting as I see a 3-3 division record for the "Black and Blue Division" and winning records against the rest of the league for all as a real possibility. But Darnold was not the problem, having 0.5 seconds to keep from playing smear the queer is not enough time to read the rest of the coverage. Running and play action might have helped but... those were blitzes designed to stuff the run and pass. AG was a master.
The Vikings season is over. They would be superbowl bound if they didn’t decide to throw 17 times inside the ten for no reason. 3 times from the 3. After rushing for 2 yards on first down. Just awful. But either way they were never going to go into LA and beat the rams and the lions would also lose if that was their plight. It’s ok but yes you are correct that was the game to win and they just absolutely blew it. Should’ve been up big.

Not so fast...this may be a situation where going after the biggest contract or being a Head coach right away is not the right move. Personally, I think Aaron Glenn should stay in Detroit after this season. Great OCs and DCs don't automatically turn out to be great HCs--it's a entirely different sent of responsibilities and expectations too many people fail to realize. Same reason I can also see Ben Johnson staying in Detroit as well. Dan Campbell does all the HC duties such as creating the culture, and let's his coordinators focus on what they do best. Such a immensely awesome job from 3-13-1 to home field advantage and favored to finally make the Superbowl for the first time in franchise history.
Absolutely nuh-uh, he had a successful career with the Jets, and I can see him as head coach, he'll bring in knowledge to guide him towards a turnaround
