A little different take on presenting skills. Thanks for watching Team, hope you enjoy it! I’ll continue to work through some additional videos that demonstrate the standard for those that presented. And as a word of caution - in a contested environment, fires, shelters, and some movement techniques may not be advantageous - keep your powder dry, your head on a swivel & stay STOKED.
Unfortunately i truly believe all these tactic's and survival tip's will be very useful for many of us very soon!...thing's are crashing faster and faster by the day, and not much time left to that final push over the cliff!...
One day though if your boots are not going to kill you without socks take your socks off and put them on the outside of your boats to. Minimize your tracks..
Good information Bill A few notes, I learned in the Rangers: 1) Once out of the immediate danger area, skin color is obvious in woodland area, so camo all exposed skin. Or at least wear camo headnet and green/camo gloves. 2) If pursuers are using K9, use either pepper spray or red pepper on route you are taking. This will temporarily inhibit their sense of smell. 3) When getting water, put container opening downstream so less debris will get inside. 4) And of course, noise and light discipline.
Pepper and other chemicals do not help against tracking dogs. Not even tear gas. Neither does wading in rivers or swimming across lakes. Making distance is the only way to lose tracking dogs in non-urban terrain. Dogs have only a few hours of stamina for a chase. In urban areas you can mix your tracks amongst all the other peoples' smells.
@@reynolddovkin2337 apparently you have never seen a tracking dog that got a nose full of pepper spray or cs powder. Most dogs track from scent on the ground so yes getting into a stream or swimming a lake will lose them but one that tracks from the sir is a whole different game. One of the best ways to screw up a tracking dog and was use by sog in nam against the nva tracking dogs was CS powder and Cocaine
Story time: when I was young I regularly metal detected forests and this was not allowed. Needless to say sometimes this let to being spotted by the foresters. I would see their jeeps most of the time and if you are in camp standing still someone driving a car most times will not be able to see you. They were more likely to spot you if they were out of the car. In which case I would run to break line of sight. The other thing I would do is run visibly in a straight line to a parking place. The foresters know where they are and know the forest like their pocket. So if they think they are smart they will jump in their car as you gained sufficient distance and they will drive off in the direction where they think they can cut you off or where the parking is. Once I would be out of sight I would typically hide a bit in non logical place. Forests here are many time production and pine meaning large lines of sight from roads. But there will be dents in the terrain that are just high enough to lay flat behind or there is a carpet of blue berry bushes. They are very low (30cm and max around knee height) but it is perfect as the forester will see through the pine forest while driving and it looks like he can see all he will assume you are in a more dense brush rich part or a Ditch instead. While he chases ghosts you hop from forest plot to forest plot. For the forest I knew very well I had a predetermined exfil route and plan. When detecting I was full camouflaged but when walking into the forest I would park far away (hour plus walk). My clothes would be colorful and standard hiking apparel. The backpack too. When I got to the place where I would detect: change clothes and cover the backpack with a camo rain cover. On the way back to the car: reverse out of camo and hike back. In one case I was unsure if the foresters by now would not be wise enough to check the third parking so I actually ditched the backpack as it contained my gear which could tie me to the misdemeanor. And sure as hell they were there. But different appearance and no backpack so they didn’t even ask questions. As they were there I added another loop to my hike and on the way back they were gone, got my gear out of the forest and left 😅 being chased by real people is awesome

I like game trails to get through thick brush. Yes they are obvious but bushwhacking is loud. Also on return to hide site listen for squirrels and birds, especially in the deep woods they complain about humans. When observing an open field try to always look through a bush.
Some questions from a non military person: What kind of tape did you use in the video several seconds before the 11 minute mark? Why eat that far away from your camp site?
A well trained dog team is tough to beat - HOWEVER - time, distance, and speed are your friends. Time: when did they actually get on scene (and was it contaminated before hand). Distance: the greater distance the more you can employ anti tracking techniques and the farther away the team is from sustainment. Speed: wears out the team
If you are absolutely CERTAIN you are being tracked, during one of your security stops...set up an M-18 (claymore). When the enemy triggers your little "bundle of joy" (1) You know about where they are.(2) Hopefully you caused casualties and (3) they are going to go a lot slower now, looking for more mines.
To make this even better carry 5 X the amount of trip wire required. Set up several fake traps. The trackers will get complacent, then have one being the real claymore. Was taught to make a 3 sided trap. Two long to the sides and a shorter across the path. Saw on another site that the ring pulls off cans are great for swivels, diverts and end tabs. Also they weight very little and take no space.

Zig Zag... as to hide or not make or cut a trail that can make it easier for an experienced tracker to track you

This content is so exciting made me have to poop when he was observing his site before returning
Something I’ve never seen is how to evade tracking dogs. Short of going up or down a river how would you accomplish that?
A well trained dog team is tough to beat - HOWEVER - time, distance, and speed are your friends.
Time: when did they actually get on scene (and was it contaminated before hand).
Distance: the greater distance the more you can employ anti tracking techniques and the farther away the team is from sustainment.
Speed: wears out the team
Cayenne prepper…
I dont see a rifle, pistol or any type of real weapon. Good video. Very informative.
Good tips
I like most with the exception of setting up 400 m from last contact. Nope. At a minimum ama be at least a clic away with the blue line between.
I am guessing the pacific northwet. This reminds me of air crew survival class.
STOKED !
Nice video.
Just remember; the enemy is thinking the same things that you are thinking.
