    How many emails can you create for a domain under premium web hosting plan of hostinger for a domain individually or combined?
    The web hostings limit of 1GB should I be worried of it as mostly the emails we recieve are sketches from clients.
    We currently have a regular email account with google one storage purchased.
    We use it purely for email. Not for calendar or anything
    My question is we require 5 company emails with the mail we're currently using as the destination we manage everything it has a google one storage of 100 GB as well.
    Is this a sound setup? What do you think of this?

    tks you. Can I use this email domain to log in to Google?

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  2 месяца назад

      I don't believe so. At least not with the forwarding or sender alias methods. If you want to use a custom domain to login and use other Google tools (Calendar, Meet, etc.) you'll need a paid Google Workspace account.

    Looks great, although it jumps to "$7.99/mo when you renew" it's on the pricing page and I can also spot it on your video

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  3 месяца назад +1

      True. Which is actually a bit lower than a lot of other shared hosting options (Bluehost renews at $11.99). You get a lot of bang for your buck if you purchase the 48 month plan. Pay less than $150 for FOUR YEARS of hosting, and then continue at a very reasonable rate (or migrate to another host if a better option becomes available).

    What happens if you don't set up email forwarding? Does the domain provider pretty much give you like email hosting or something? An inbox, is what I'm asking about.

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  6 месяцев назад +2

      Domains providers typically don't include email. But they might offer email accounts as an add-on. Web hosting companies like Hostinger will often include some level of email hosting with their plans.

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick

      Yes, it should be very similar instructions. Where exactly you'll find the correct server info in the Namecheap settings might be different, but everything on the Gmail side would work the same.

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  9 месяцев назад +1

      Are you creating separate email accounts for each family member, or one email account that will be shared by the entire family? So long as you each have your own account, you're good. By default, your Google Drive content isn't shared with anyone unless you choose to share specific files or folders.

    on mobile gmail app its taking 15 mins about to sync email. in desktop you may be do manually force sync. so its not really great

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  4 месяца назад

      I wonder if the frequency of the syncing is determined by Gmail or the email server. Either way, it's not going to be as polished an experience as a paid Google Workspace plan, but it's a decent halfway point for anyone who needs a more affordable solution.

      Your free email offers a forwarding rule, you can use that and forward all your emails to your Gmail email. This way you will receive your emails almost instantly and reply from your busniss email.

    Question. If my domain is hosted with hostinger, can I have one email with Google workspace (using same domain) and another just using domains email service?

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  2 месяца назад

      Yes... But the way to set this up correctly will depend on a few things. What specifically are you hoping to achieve? Do you need separate inboxes for different users? Or do you just want multiple email addresses that would point to the same inbox?
      And if you need separate inboxes, am I understanding correctly that you want to just pay for one Google Workspace user and use the free/cheaper Hostinger mail for everyone else?

      With this configuration (using POP3), your messages aren't stored on Hostinger anymore, so you don't need to worry about hitting your 1GB storage limit.

      You can add your logo to it, and set it up to be accessed through a custom subdomain (ex. "mail.yoursite.com") but you can't remove the Gmail logo.

    Does Google Chat work with this free method? If so, does the chat come from the business email name or Gmail?

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  8 месяцев назад

      Good question. Unfortunately, it probably doesn't work with Google Chat. Email uses different protocols. Google Chat is its own thing, and you probably need an actual Google Workspace account to use Chat (or other Google products) with your business identity.

    Isn't there any way of just adding a domain to a personal Google account? I mean, I'd like to simply have a nice and easy-to-understand domain so people don't get it wrong when I tell them the email address. I also think it's pretty nice and professional, but I don't have a business or anything.

    • @SelfEmploymentSidekick
      @SelfEmploymentSidekick  4 месяца назад

      Custom domains aren't available in the free version of Gmail. But you can do this with a paid Google Workspace subscription. That would also allow you to use Google Drive, Docs, Meet, and other tools with your custom domain. You don't need a business entity to sign up for Google Workspace.
      Otherwise, you can follow the method in the video to be about to send and receive from a custom address.
