    ====================================
    In this video I don’t want to talk about electronics, however, I plan to address an important topic regarding earthquake prediction and share some insights on how to approach this topic and similar with a scientific mindset."
    Recently, there have been individuals claiming to predict earthquakes based on factors like planetary alignments and atmospheric fluctuations, especially after the major earthquakes in Turkey. While it may sound intriguing, however, it's crucial to approach these claims with skepticism and rely on scientific methods"
    Let me explain the scientific method practically: two phenomena happen quite frequently, and one of them is an earthquake, you name the second one, planetary alignment, barking of dogs or animal behavior, temperature changes, magnetic anomalies, some special clouds, ... etc. somebody can easily connect these together and use just try and fail method, chances are you are right in some cases, isn’t it?
    But science means proving that these two are related, and somebody cannot simply fill the gap with whatever he likes. In the case of the planetary alignment, claiming that other planets in the solar system influence faults by electromagnetic forces, and sometimes changing this claim with magnetic forces is not scientific! Science is not as easy as the mass population thinks.
    The fact is that the majority of big and small earthquakes have no precursors. Yes, some studies showed that some earthquakes had some early warning signs such as magnetic anomalies and atmospheric fluctuations, and so on, however, there have been many cases these signs were observed but no earthquake happened.
    As a result, prediction means defining the location, magnitude, and time or at least offering a measurable and reliable number, such as a 70% chance of an earthquake at 2 PM, 10km away from Los Angeles.
    “Maybe”, “soon or late”, and similar terms are not considered “prediction” or “forecasting”. And you know people should live, we can not put them under stress frequently by “maybe”, they have to go to work, they have life. That’s why such claims are considered a crime in some countries.
    So, what we can do? Construction companies must follow earthquake-resistant building codes and you as a citizen should have some knowledge to force these people to follow these rules, really. When you don’t ask, when you don’t report, and just buy what these construction companies or dealers offer, so they don’t need to follow anything.
    The pancake collapse of the buildings in Turkey was because of the soft story and quality of the concrete, which means sacrificing safety to create more shops or parking spaces on the first floor.

    Beautiful equipment these on your bench, would be multimeters??? , because here an instrument like one of these is extremely expensive, reaching 37 thousand Reias, or about 7450.59 Dollars.
    As for the explanation on the subject, I found it very interesting, although we here in Brazil do not have this natural phenomenon.

      I did not buy them all at once, just gradually 😉. big earthquakes in Brazil mostly happen in a high depth, so the damage is minor. it's like the epicenter is far from your location. good for you! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_earthquakes_in_Brazil

    Liar. I live on an island on the indo Australian plate, in the last few days there were 7+ mag earthquakes the largest to hit the earth in months. My family work in military and big buisness and hundreds of people were forewarned the exact region magnitude and time period 4 days prior to the first 7.8 earthquake. These warnings are normal for us as we live in a very active region and have learnt to know where the energy comes from and also we know the how the energy is displaced throughout the plates and how it is reflected of the core of the earth stemming from solar activity. Not all can be predicted but many can, do and does all the time where I live, the military maps I've seen are very different to public civilian maps that you can only see, my family do big business and have connections to classified information. When my family gets warnings from military intelligence agencies based on the fact that the energy flowing across the planet can and Is tracked with patterns and the consistency of flow to the weak points on the earth depending on the depth of the quake where the energy came from, the amount of quakes etc. Has merit. And To assume the military without a doubt has no clue about this and would tell the masses if they did is asinine.

      Your own belief is not what others can accept, publish it as a paper that other scientists can judge. you will get a Nobel prize then!. Besides, I understand the pressure but using such language doesn't give you credit.

      @@MyVanitar so only when a specific and certain amount of people agree then it's only possible? Is that what you are saying?

      @retrospect4549 Год назад

      @@MyVanitar the people who know this don't want credit and are not allowed to publish this information. How many incidents are there of governments confirming previous scientific "facts" to be true or not true when they had extensive knowledge of it beforehand.

    • @MyVanitar
      @MyVanitar  Год назад

      to prove your word, you have to publish it as a paper, then others who are specialized in the field can consider and judge, this is how it's done for all science fields, and it's not my personal opinion. besides as I mentioned that are some studies that have shown some precursors, that worked for some areas, for some occasions, but as an indicator they are not reliable. The fact is this phenomenon is very complex and still not well understood. As a result, the best we can do is to live in earthquake-resistant buildings, then even such earthquakes will not damage us this much. Again this is what is suggested as global guidance, and not just my opinion.

      @@MyVanitar by the way. This is not my own belief, this is military information aswell as many other researchers information who have also made similar models and recognised the patterns, just because it's not public "certified" information doesn't make it false. With you're statement you are saying the only things that are true are what our governments tell us and if they don't confirm it it's not possible. This is controlled misinformation. You believe a car moves because the wheels turn. I believe a car moves because fuel powers the engine the enable the drive train to convert the energy and send the wheels into motion.
