Thank you for this video! We had 3 sticky remotes and no clue why they were sticky. I’ve just did one and it does work. Definitely use elbow grease. 👍

DON’T TRY THIS! It took the black finish off my remote and I didn’t even rub it hard!

Tried it but after the nail polisher dried it became sticky again after 1-2 days.

Thanks for your comment! 🙂 It might be that the deteriorating layer wasn't fully removed. Make sure you're using a nail polisher remover with acetone and keep rubbing the sticky areas until the layer of film is fully removed. Hope this helps!

I tried it on the back of a Bose remote. It didn’t work. It just go it worst. 😩

Goal is to rub off that top rubbery/coating layer that's deteriorating so you'll have to use some elbow grease. Also, when it's still wet with the acetone it'll feel gross, but once you dry off and wipe down with a clean paper towel, it'll feel nice and smooth. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂

What about between the buttons? That's where all my sticky spots are.

Try using a Q-tip for the in-between spaces. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching! 😊
