I am trying to put a little more effort into my Sub Cities. As I think about all that is invested; you mentioned the talent, the research, the Generals, the gear, that's an expensive city. I think I want a little more out of them other than material production.
I never connected them for battlefields , didn't want to lose the troops.😂 got over that and losing traps in battlefield.woupd at one stage actually quit the field to preserve traps .
It's _very_ easy to take your sub with 10 hits. Two cities port to your sub. Camp all 5/6 of their marches. That's 10-12 marches. Then, attack the sub with the ready-to-go army camps. And, your sub's taken before you can bubble up. Unless, you're really prepared & bubble up the moment you get the red flash instead of checking which idiot is hitting you. In older servers, you can just bubble up. Because, the really small players are all gone. In new ones, I've bubbled up & then checked to find a silly player with 1/10th my power hitting me from long ways off and wasting my bubble. 😡
Another good benefit of linking your subs is if your keep gets zero your teammates can reinforce you to try and save your subs.
