Other black fraternities (yes multiple) existed dozens & even 100 yrs before 1906..It is those Black fraternities dating back to the 1700s that are at the foundation of all Black Greek Letter Organizations today. @filamacan Well, now you're getting into the world of conjecture, and I don't play that game when it comes to my Honorable Founders. What is a fact is that the Primary Founder of Phi Beta Sigma, A.L. Taylor, had the idea of developing a Fraternity before he stepped foot on HU's campus. This alone separates Sigma from Kappa and Omega, in that we are not descended from AphiA by virtue of one of the founders being associated with the Alphas and forming an org in response to it..
