I learned about the “auto” feature on a website chat with Heybike earlier today, and that fixed my problem with that auto-on feature. I also learned how to decrease the PAS1 so I don’t get whiplash when taking off!😄 I remember that you said one of your tires was overinflated? Mine were both at 22psi, so I had to bring those down a tad.
Thanks for this video and all the tips on issues I might find when my new Ranger S gets here. I think a spot or two of hot glue under the rubber where the wires pass through to the frame might be an easy fix. I'm going to do that on mine before I even ride it. 😊 Phil
I think it will be to fast either way. I wanted that feature because I thought it would be nice going up my apartment stairs. Looks like it's gonna be a real problem for me.
Use the app to change to class 3. 28mph. The free mirrors that come with bike don't work on these handle bars. I haven't figured out to make front forks tight. When I push the handle bars forward or backward there is slight movement in the forks.
That's the problem. Its sold as a class3 with a top speed of 28mph. However, to get to 28 it by pedal only. But the gears are not matched well so your spinning your legs very fast to get there. I can't get it over 24 and that only for a brief moment because I just can't keep up with it. When riding with the throttle only, it will only do 21.5.. In the app, its already set for 28. Just can't get there.

No sorry. I don't have the bike anymore. However, I have an aftermarket rear basket that I like and I attach it to any rear rack with heavy duty zip ties. I have the ones I use in my Amazon store. I think they were rated at 75lbs each. Very heavy duty and I have not had any problems with them.
Hi great bike review. Have you contacted heybike about the issues? I’m hoping they could fix them. But anyways does the shimano gear increase the speed? Cause I watched reviews of their ranger and it did. So I’m hoping it doesn’t stop at 20mph was hoping at least 25mph
I have reached out, just waiting to hear back. The shimano gear shifter just changes the position of the chain and affects how hard you have to pedal. Its already in the highest gear. I can't pedal any faster to make it go faster, maybe a younger person can. On other ebikes you can use the throttle only to go the max speed. Not sure why heybike is restricting it. I hope to know more tomorrow.
I guess it depends on your riding style and what you plan to do with it. 750w motor from the Ranger S is powerful, but appears to limit your speed which is disappointing. Other than speed, I have no regrets.

We had the same issues with assembly, but we figured it out. The video was helpful. I’ve got the front basket to install, and I bought the Heybike saddlebags, which seem pretty nice. I’m going to sew a waterproof liner for the basket so things won’t fall out. I love to sew, so now I have an excuse to sew some more, lol!😄 Might just make more saddlebags, too!
