I vaguely remember watching this when I was younger. I miss these older cartoons. Unfortunately, you couldn't make a show like this in today's world, and that is too bad.
Indeed
Yes sadly you are correct sir, I truly believe that we were blessed to have experienced those days.🤔
Ya probably could. Have to get rid of the flag if that's the dealbreaker
Back in 1983, you could catch Bo, Luke, Daisy and the rest of the gang from Hazzard, twice a week, on Friday nights and on Saturday mornings on CBS!!!
Yep !! So glad I grew up during that time
I did the same thing, I watched the Dukes of Hazzard on Friday nights & watched the cartoon series on Saturday mornings.
My childhood in the 80's had awesome cartoons every popular TV show in the 80's always got a cartoon show.
This should have lasted longer than 1 year 2 seasons! I am a massive fan of dukes of hazzard and im only 15
Same
Nah, the "legendary Hannah Barbara animation" was completely outclassed by 1982 in terms of what they were up against. The sloppy, unexpressive drawing of Boss Hogg's face. The lame mud splashes at the General Lee blows by him. I was a huge Dukes fan back then, and even I cringe to see how badly this cartoon was produced. Against the Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Muppet Babies... there is no question that the type of "human character" animation viewers wanted was going in the direction of "Thundar", which even though that show didn't last, it set the artistic tone for shows like Dungeons & Dragons, and Mr. T, which is are still completely watchable from a visual perspective. Watching "Dukes" cartoons is like pretending you are in the 70s trying to revive the ghost of original Scooby Doo.
Same! I was born in the early 2000's and I love it. 😊 Love the Dukes! I REALLY love Bo Duke/John Schneider though. 💜
Yeah I Agree
Nice still remember this cartoon when i was a kid
Sounds like the real actors doing the voices
they did.
I think these are the live show's actors doing the voices.
That was a fine plan. I wouldn't have thought to put weights on the sheet.
Who else thought the Dukes were on an episode of Scooby Doo from the thumbnail?
I didn't, but I recognized the thunder sfx and immediately thought of Scooby Doo....lol
That could have worked. Although DOH aired in the late 70s/early 80s and "The New Scooby Doo Movies" aired in the early 70s. It would have worked with the "Celebrity Guest of the Week" format they had at the time. Daphine and Velma would have rocked those "short" shorts of Daisys.
"WE ain't.....WELL I"LL TAKE CARE OF THAT!!!!! (Steps on gas) Somehow I can see that in the reallife series!
This was from an age more enlightened. The scolds run the media nowadays.
this is peak warner bros entertainment
I loved that show, and as soon as I can I'm getting a copy for my son, he love's the Dukes of Hazzard.
HAHA!!!!!! That was funny!!!!!! Thanks for posting.
"Yes sir, Bo, Luke, and Daisy are racing ol' Boss Hogg clear around the world, and they gonna win that prize money so the Boss can't foreclose on the farm. Naturally, greedy ol' Boss wants the farm and the money all for himself so he's been a cheatin' and a schemin' every foot of the way."
In the cartoon or the show or both?
Rosco and Boss chased Bo, Luke & Daisy all over the world in the 2nd season of The Dukes(season 1 was with Coy & Vance)- the cartoon continued until Sept., 1984 on CBS!!!
OMG! The horn!
Coy and Vance were in the majority of the episodes at first, then midway Bo and Luke show up for the last few episodes.
This series ran from February 5, 1983 to September 7, 1985 on CBS.
forgot about this.maybe it never aired.i wouldve remembered this.
It was only on for 1 year 2 seasons 20 episodes
It was a fun cartoon to watch.
I didn't even know this existed untill today
I just learned about the cartoon
I had forgotten about this cartoon.
Great show, with a huge built in fan base. Unfortuntely, it debuted during the "Coy and Vance" season of the live action show. Coy and Vance had proved to be unpopular with the fans and having them for the 1st season of the Dukes cartoon probably didn't help things.
nothing was wrong with, coy and vance!!/ in real life lots of people have more than,"2--4" relatives in the family!!/. ✝️👑🙏💒😔😇🏖️
@@craigstjohn4470 Didn't say there was. I would have liked to have seen an episode or 2 where Coy and Vance returned. They were put into a no-win situation by CBS exces thinking it would be easy to replace Schnider and Wopat. CBS didn't count on "The Fans"
I watched this when I was maybe 4. I don't think they aired many reruns much.
The Dukes
That cartoon ran that long. CBS must have moved that cartoon series to it's hidden timeslot on Sundays, when they use to air two half hour children's show, before Captain Kangaroo and CBS Sunday Morning. That's what they did to shows like Jason Of Star Command, before they had brought it back on the Saturday Lineup, before it was cancelled. A lot of memories goes into that show.
Never heard of a Dukes Cartoon
Dan Mark it was on Saturday mornings back in the early 80s when the dukes of hazzard was really big
1983
The first season had Coy and Vance.
The second season had Bo and Luke.
Those goddamn fucking Duke boys. Shit
Roscoe would have been a scream if there were a radio version too
Looks like Boss Hogg's name is Mud. ^^
And mud spelled backwards is dum.^^
Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Mud. (Wyle E Coyote to Bugs Bunny)
@@markrodriguez9442 Bugs: And mud spelled backwards is dum.
@@crystalgemgirl731 :)
This show ran for 20 episodes and 2 seasons less than a year for 8 months in 1983.
Ha ha ha,driving a convertible with the top down in the rain and in a Cadillac no less.
Boss sure loves the mud
I hope this is available in Canada soon!
There nothing BETTER than A Dixie Girl. I just love Y'all Shows
Too bad Enos, Cooter, or Cletus didn't appeared in the animated series.
Show me them Daisy Dukes!!!
Need a little more action from Daisy in this. Hope she's wearing those skimpy shorts. (:
you mean her "Daisy Dukes?"
Yup. She does.
Why does this seem more like Scooby doo than Scooby doo
Idk but it was made by the same person Hannah Barbera.
make full episodes of the dukes of hazzard i would love it.
Keith Deatherage wbshop has the whole series for ya...
I don't remember seeing this show. What time was it on?
I would probably watch this for the same reason I watched the live show............Daisy!!
@ClassicTVMan1981X Still, quite short-lived given the circumstances.
Put on your seat beat kids
Boss hogg wille coyote roscoe slyvester the dukes road runner tweety
You know what I miss? Swat Kats.
Why did Boss own a Cadillac Eldorado in the cartoon, but owned a Cadillac Coupe de Ville in the real series? Couldn't have been THAT hard to draw the actual model?
Anyways, great cartoon.
boofdfast Probably. Be thankful the General Lee wasn't something else.
@@ChristopherSobieniak i always wondered what if someone made a general grant what model car would it be? it would be gray ....
@@popeyejones9256 Oooh, maybe!
My friend said this cartoon was quite violent, and the dukes both used knives to intimidate people to get they wanted. It doesn’t look that way to me at all
Your ...friend is mistaken.
I really like it so much
