So sad to hear about the passing of Steve Sostak. Our band was playing Empty Bottle a lot around the same years as Sweep and he was always such a nice guy. Great record, great live band.
Remember how the saxophonist/vocalist would make uncomfortably long eye contact with people in the crowd while they played? I saw them in Minneapolis once and I kept having to hide behind people because he was freaking me out.

Thanks so much for posting this. I lost all my cds and vinyl in The Great Unpleasantness of 2013. So good to hear this fucking great album again. Cheers.
I don’t know why they pulled all the SWEEP albums from digital platforms. All the sudden they weren’t in my iTunes library. Same everywhere but RUclips. So thanks for this. (And thank god I held on to their CD’s).
Hey RC, thanks for all of the positive comments throughout the youtube uploads. Sto Cazzo! is in the process of being repressed in 2021-22. Will keep you updated.
@@stevesostak3397 naw man, thank you. 🙏 much obliged - no matter where in the world on tour I was, SWEEP never failed to halt a conversation and get a “..........hold on who is THAT!!!?”🖤
back before the ASCAP brownshirts started shaking small businesses down for licensing fees, the teenagers behind the counter would put on their favorite weird music all day, often to the chagrin of the most uptight of customers. we mvst retvrn, fuck starbucks. even the coffee shops got gentrified. chainsmoke and listen to copywrited music in public. fuck 'em.
From 2000. Saw them live by accident. One of the best bands ever and you can’t even buy their albums anywhere. If you can find their MASTERPIECE track “sometimes my balls feel like tits” I HIGHLY recommend it - bet it’s on RUclips. Saw them twice,(2000, 2002) and they were easily in the top 5 live acts I’ve seen in my life.
@@RustinChole I had a short and passionate affair with a woman in 2003 based solely on a shared love for this band. I remember it fondly. As I do my hair.
@@davidgormley7990 me too man. Me too. Not the love affair - but the hair. I work out a lot now that touring isn’t “economically viable,” and a buzz cut on a decent dad bod isn’t so bad.😉

Just heard this terrible news now. What a loss. If you look through the comments on this video, one of them received replies from Steve himself.
