Ya know, as much as I enjoy that song as it exists, literally appreciating it for what it is…it’s from 2002-2003…If you read the comments for the music video it is a *Parade* of people stating how that song brings them to their happy place & it’s always been clear to me _(I graduated high school at age 17 on June 1st, 2003)_ I’ve always seen this song as being about some sort of falling out two teens had at the end of their last family summer vacation before moving away to college or whatever & loosing touch in a world be for social media, or smart phones…in that way, I feel like it almost works better as a piece from the 1980s
