Hi do i need to arrange a company to pick up and deliver my goods or can i ask the seller to arrange that I'm new to Alibaba i want a new motorbike and I've found a company in China willing to sell me 1 bike but i don't know if i need to sort out shipping and getting it sent to my house or if i can ask if they can arrange shipping. I have a question: I'm doing my first shipping from Alibaba to Amazon in US, but my supplier is telling me that in order to save a tax Alibaba charge for shipping to US they're going to change the shipping address to a 'shipping agent' address there in China, but they're actually sending the order to US. I'm worried because in the Alibaba's payment bill will appear a different address in China from the one we want to send it in the US. What do you recommend us to do? Do we have to trust their word or is too risky to have a wrong address in our bill? PD. They have Trade Assurance and more than 6years. Thank you.
I have a few questions:
When getting the product to my customer.
Do I ship the product to my house and then send it to the customer?
Or do I send the product straight to the customer from Alibaba?
And how many units of the product do I buy from Alibaba after I get my first order?
It’s up to you how many units you want to buy.

What if the goods are less than £135 am i still liable to pay custums and vat?
Also if its less than 135 is it even worth doing ddp, ive heard that some companies double the costs and take advantage using customs and vat as an excuse.

What shipping company do you recommend and how do we use them?
The supplier usually chooses the shipping company I find it’s usually Fedex or DHL
Do we need to have a business registration to obtain EROI Number?
No you don’t have to have a LTD to get a EORI number but I think your business has to be registered for them to assign it to you, have a look on the Gov website

You’re welcome! This is for any stage, when you send items to internationally it’s best to put your eori number on the package

No you don’t need to but eventually you will have to register as a sole trader or Limited company, check your governments guidelines 💪🏽

Yes I try to use ddp otherwise customs will 100% contact you for there money don’t you worry about that 😂👏🏽

Hey! I’ve never had to complete one of these I assume my supplier handled this on their end (unless this is a new requirement?) I haven’t imported from China this year, speak to your supplier about it if possible, mine are usually very helpful

This video was very helpful. I used to get charged hefty custom fees when each of my samples and packaging arrived in the UK. Not to mention how long it actually takes to get here. As a result, I ended up deciding that for me it made more sense to source from the UK. However, now I know better, I’ll ask more in depth questions and see if it’s better for me to get my packaging from Alibaba instead.
