- Today we take a look at Universe mode in wwe 2k22 and give you our review of the 2022 mode. More of the same? a few additions, a few things removed. But mostly is it considered a broken mode by players? Let's discuss the good and the bad about this years WWE 2k22 Universe mode.

Here is my issue with it. They have had universe mode forever and all those years of feedback. There are no backstage promos, in ring promos this year especially, no contract signings, no tournaments in universe mode, superstars don't change there attires on there own, no tag team mid March run ins, no post match promos. All these years the feedback, WK come on man
You can get them to change their attires on their own by setting it to Random. Poorly implemented yes I know. There should be gear for promo only.

I'm not sure why they made gm mode separate . It seems like a no brainer to put it in universe. Also it would be amazing if they had universe mode online like madden franchise. I think instead of upgrading the graphics. They should just focus on one part of the game at a time. Fixing all the flaws. I mean they really dont need to make another one next year just be able to upgrade the roster. In the sims you can get different downloads for create. It would be amazing if wwe did this as well. The cloths and hair is very similar to the last one. Most are absurd and worthless
@@enslaved1s I agree both modes are essentially the same and lacking. Combining the 2 would be better but some dumb fans wanted a GM mode not knowing that is what Universe mode basically was. But yeah there is just so much lacking especially from universe mode O IMPROVEMENT.... Heck even less things to do this year.
they should have combined GM mode with universe mode, I wish we had unlimited active rivalry slots 4 is not enough.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again universe mode is the most disrespected mode with the greatest potential in the world . It genuinely makes no sense why this mode gets no love each year I am a diehard universal fan and it feels like we got the same thing but it’s even less now because they took out promos and all the bugs and fortunately I haven’t had any crashes but I have had like some glitches where in the cussing one of the people will just be invisible and it’ll break the match to wear like I’m just the only one standing there and I can’t do anything but quit match if I’m in superstar mode I have to restart the whole universe
Yup I'm with you man. I was using Roman Reigns is universe mode. I fought MVP at SummerSlam and at the end of the match during the cutscene it was Seth Rollins instead of Roman. I was like WTF?
To be fair, "promos" in 2k19 are not good at all. They are pretty awfully implemented. What they should do is introduce storyline templates you can plug and play your superstars into, that create stories complete with promos, attacks,. etc. They had that in some past wwe games.
@@monkeytime9851 i agree with you on that one . If we could a pick specific story line and have promos be consistent with said storyline . It can universe mode more life and replay ability and let’s say they add muilt-man promo’s for like money inthe bank or the royal rumble or like tag team rivalries. There’s just so much potential in universe mode
@@hoodijhershy Yes, and allow players to create and upload and rate storyline templates too (so you can use them from fellow creators you feel are good). If I recall correctly this existed in a past wwe game and should have been kept and improved upon. Imagine all the stories people could make and trade. Universe mode could be kept fresh for a very long time.

They really did nothing to improve Universe and it massively disappointed me because that's the 99% reason for me buying the game

Yup I bought it for Universe too and it s lacking still and won't even let me book PPVs during Sept-Dec. I honestly think all of us are insane. We have to be right? Doing the same thing expecting different results? We all buy these games hoping for an improved universe but it never is lmao.

It's a long shot but while 2K patches fixes, they should patch additional/new features to Universe Mode like bringing back Promos and being able to do championship run-ins, just the small stuff then and only then I'd say Universe Mode is at it's best for WWE 2K22
It's still broken
The promos need an overhaul. The majority of the written sentences are awful, and a minority of them even have spelling errors that have been present since the feature was first introduced (2K17). Another oversight is when you do a callout promo, the superstar acts as if the person answering their callout is actually interrupting them, and it’s also been present since 2K17. Universe Mode in general needs more love, I feel like they just slap a coat of paint over it each year without trying to fix the foundation of it.

All my years of playing wrestling games, I have NEVER seen so many glitches in my life. In Universe Mode I have been wrestling against wrestlers in matches that are literally INVISIBLE 😂
Every play WWE 2K20 IT WAS A COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE MODE FIRST PAY PER VIEW SAVED LADDER MATCH FOR TITLE MADE ITSELF A NON TITLE MATCH THEN GLITCH OUT AS THE ITEM IS GRABBED. ELIMINATION CHAMBER WRESTLERS DID A CONTORTED SUPERMAN OUT THE SIDE OF CHAMBER 3 TIMES IN A ROW
I haven't even had a single glitch on PC. I am about 40 play hours in already...

In general, I see a lack of testing everywhere in WWE 2k22. Minor bugs are everywhere.
The early buyers are the testers.
I can't access anything online and 2K pretty much told me too bad. I am not getting burned a 3rd time. I hope EA gets the game next time.

My main issue with Universe mode was the fact that "participants" of a brand/show aren't the only people showing up when you set up your card. I hate that Literally everyone shows up and it doesn't "draft" them to that show
Facts! And it’s like if they’re gonna add everybody when you set up the card, why not put a little logo next to the name so we know who’s on what brand? I’m someone who doesn’t watch wrestling anymore, and while I know a decent amount of the newer names, I have no general idea what show these newer superstars are on, outside of the big names. It makes no sense.
Red names are raw, blue are smackdown and yellow nxt. Other rosters you make can have their own name colors you can set up. I think they should do that. Anyone not on a brand, get plain white names.
100%, plus I'm a casual, I don't know who's on which roster but I love management games.. the fact there's no option to sort wrestlers by show is ridiculous, unless I go through and memorize every wrestler and their show there's no way for me to keep any form of continuity...
Every basic wrestling management game has these things, games made on bloody mobile
Have you tried changing who there enemies are? I find if you dont remove people as an enemy they will still interfere even if on abmnother brand
Universe mode is my main mode making alot of custom characters seeing rivals go agasint each other making teams of superstars it just create its your own world and the fact that I lose some matches helps alot because I won't even know who will win

I have to add that yes there's more cutscenes. However I'm getting the same ones over and over again. Currently doing Superstar mode with Seth and another one with Roman. Sadly both have given me the same cutscenes multiple times. And there's been nothing new. Same as the years past.
Thanks again for putting out this video and bringing up a lot of the issues for Universe mode. A few other issues with the mode this year aside from the crashing and such as that there are restrictions now. For example, I created a custom show and wanted to put an MITB briefcase to go after one of the titles. In previous versions of this game, I could easily add either a title or an MITB to one of the championship slots for the show. However, I noticed now for 2K22, it's no longer possible to do that. 2K22 now makes you first go to create an MITB briefcase in the custom creations and then that created briefcase has to be added to the show at the beginning, prior to starting the Universe or it will crash the game. I had to delete my existing Universe and create a new one just to add the MITB briefcase to my created show. Then I was able to get the MITB briefcase added to my created show but it didn't even go for the Championship that I had set that briefcase to go after when I created! So aside from thr constant crashing, looks like 2K has a whole bunch more issues that most likely will not get fixed!
It feels like there are too many limitations in this game overall.

@@CJSeverus93 Game play is the smoothest I seen . Matches look great . But if I can't even do Universe mode soon I'll run out of reasons to play the game . Since I only have one match left in Rey's Showcase
If they get rid of this horrendous glitches . It will be one the best at in 2 k era
I have not played it because it’s literally the same as previous years minus promos. Now, I play very differently… I create a huge roster of 45/50 wrestlers of my own (without any mods or downloaded images) and it works.
The issue is the amount of mods people use to create these wrestlers that aren’t from WWE anymore. I don’t think the system can take the huge amount of modding it’s needed for that.
Love your coverage Matt. It's nice to see someone highlighting the problems with the game and not just the good. I've been seeing so much positivity about the game with what feels like very few actually talking about the negatives.

@@AssembleShow You're welcome and I definitely agree. It's just disappointing that they had two years to put out a polished game and we still have all these problems. A minor glitch here and there is acceptable but all the ones that are actually in it? Oh boy 🤦

Why don’t they just combine GM Mode & Universe Mode? Bring in the money aspect, the draft, etc. but still be able to completely customize the shows, PPVs, etc. If I wanted to do an entire AEW promotion, I should be able to do this still with a GM running everything but in this case, you should be able to create your GM. Thing is, the creators know they can do this and make sure it doesn’t crash, completely make the best possible game…but they don’t want to do that because they need our money and our want for wanting more and more. No reason for a new generation console not being able to handle the number of things you wanna add to yourself. We have to stop believing the devs care more than we do, to even do something as small as to constantly stress test the game man smh. Do you really believe a game with millions of dollars behind it couldn’t be made absolutely perfect? Think about it

Honestly the best approach would be for 2k to create the list of CAW's and we draft the 100 superstars we want in addition to their base roster and the DLC packs. That way you get the entrances, the music, etc. etc.
Thanks for the video Matt! For me personally, I haven't experienced too many serious issues primarily due to me not yet downloading anything from Community Creations (I make most of my own stuff anyway in addition to uploading my own custom images to myself). And while I do understand everyone's frustrations & haven't played a lot of Universe yet, I think it would be beneficial for me to let you and everyone else know that new bugs can unfortunately come to the surface after a patch update for a game that were never present before. I'm not a developer by any means, and this isn't me trying to not hold the main leadership of the Visual Concept dev team accountable, I had just figured I'd share some of what very little I do know about the post release process for some dev teams.
With that said, I do have hope that the dev team will be able to fix most if not all of these issues within the next few weeks if not right before the first DLC pack drops (major game updates usually happen right before or on the same day that major DLC is released). Again this isn't me trying to be a shill for 2K. I just really want the best for these developers, because as a creative myself, knowing what they had to go through in such a short amount of time with all of the drama around releases and Covid-19 surely wasn't easy, and I just want to see them all do their very best to make WWE 2K22 the best WWE game possible.
I never will understand why they took out the promos but then again it might be cause people were getting tired of the same animations the superstars where doing and that certain superstars had a unique promo animations compared to others
I always thought promos were boring and would simulate them. But after I started smoking weed again promos have become so fun, especially because I play with an Attitude Era roster. It’s a cool little challenge to really make it a believable Rock, Austin, Mankind, Angle, HBK…etc. promo.
Most of the sentences are trash, though. People don’t talk like that.
So instead of improving it they decide to delete it...Universe Mode is the only reason I buy these games and instead of adding anything new...they dont and instead invest time and resources putting in Faction Mode just to have "packs"...so lame and disrespectful to their customers
Only just recently got into Universe Mode with 2K20, then went back into 2k19's. Mode is still fresh enough for me but I hope next installments have some improvements to prevent me from getting bored from playing the same exact game mode.

Universe Mode is my main thing with wrestling games. I want to create my own roster, my own show, etc... So this is validating my decision to wait for the game. Once it's fixed, then I'll probably get it.
It’s always good to wait when you can for it . Hopefully with a few fixes and dlc coming it’ll be in better shape

Lets be real, I understand people have been waiting for a new wwe game for a very long time , but the truth is that this game is horrible. Universe mode should be THE mode in a WWE game. And once again they did absolutely nothing with it, besides taking out promos and adding more situations in which the game can crash. GREAT! For years people have been begging for new additions. More options for promos like 2 vs 2 promos or on the stage/ramp, more interactive cutsenes (or even better playable things which bring the extra drama of real WWE), backstage things happening, interviews, contract signings, different sorts of match interruptions, more match types (especially special referee - would be great in universe mode), highlight reels like in real tv, different show openers , stuff like special feuds with the authority or something like Miz TV and, and, and..... But no, just no, they gave us the same with even less this time and have the guts to release a DLC with people like Rikishi, who have been in all the past games from the start. And you even have to pay for it. This really hits different when it comes to impudence
BEEN HAVING A STARING CONEST WITH REY ON THE START SCREEN FOR A WEEK
Universe mode should be the MAIN MODE in the game. All these other miscellaneous modes like MyFaction and GM Mode could easily be taken out to add value to Universe mode. Perhaps add the GM and social media aspect into Universe Mode. I will say that the Career/MyRise mode is the best that 2K has ever done. I wish those same branching storylines could be brought over to Universe Mode. Superstar mode is disappointing. Everything you can do in the curation menu can be done in classic mode too. The only thing that the superstar mode really does, that it doesn't do in classic mode, is show you your wrestler's record and simulate all the other matches for you. Theoretically, you can do the same thing in 2K19 if you wanted to play with just one superstar. You would just have to manually simulate the other matches on the match card for each show. The cut scenes seem the same in classic mode and superstar mode. I don't see any cohesion in the cut scenes that you mentioned. Similar to 2K19, you just get the random cut scenes that play out, with no rhyme or reason. And I've only noticed a couple more different cut scenes that they had in 2K19 but most of the cut scenes seem much the same as it was in 2K19. Superstar mode could be much better if they made it like No Mercy where based on the belt/division you're in, you would have branching storylines that play out based on how the choices you and matches play out. I think in Superstar mode whereas in classic mode, it would be hard to incorporate branching storylines since it is an open sandbox. And like you said, there is no ability to do promos at alll!!! Haven't fans been asking for enhanced promos for a long time?!!? I'd rather have them remove GM Mode and of course MyFaction (I've yet to see any reviews that speak highly of it) to make room for that. Maybe even make the MyCareer mode more like 2K19 so they can put more resources towards Universe mode. Whoever recommended the MyFaction mode at 2K needs to never work in this industry again!! If they beef up Universe Mode, no doubt 2K23 (or the next iteration) game goes down to be even better than Here Comes the Pain and No Mercy.
Universe mode is my favorite mode in these games. I am disappointed with the crashes but other than that I love the mode. Superstar mode is interesting. Once 2K patches things up, I can see it being a mode I’ve always played like in 2K19. Messing with rivalries would be more fun if we had fatal 4 way or triple threat. Tournaments in universe mode would be awesome too. Definitely something they could expand upon for future installments.

I like in Universe mode you can adjust the match types. Like you said it been there for years but many forgot about it.

A minor problem you didn't include is When you're setting up the match card it doesn't tell you what roster the superstar is on and I find myself going back to check, I wish they added a roster filter maybe there is and I cant find it someone let me know

I like universe mode but it could be 1000 times better. The lack of new cutscenes. Cutscenes repeating themselves over and over. Not being able to choose the cutscenes and when they happen. Only 1v1 and 2v2 rivalries. No branching storylines and still a lack of story creator for the mode. Universe mode is suppose to be a mode that puts you in Vince's chair. Yet you don't have the level of control that we should have by now. For those who love universe mode. Don't you want more? Or are you content with simply booking matches with very random cutscenes, cutscenes that most times don't even make sense. I for one need more from this mode.
Would you be willing to sacrifice the annual Showcase mode if it meant getting Universe up to the desired level?

I wish they just merged universe mode with GM mode and have one big mode and they still havent brought in 6 man tag rivalry other than this I still in enjoy the game
promos and other things i heard were removed are the reason i didn't get 2k22 yet, the rival match being forcefully simulated when he's facing another wrestler thats not the one we're controlling in superstar mode is stupid if true, more rivalry types would be great along with promos
and just let us pick the cutscene, let us determine what the wrestlers do in rivalries that way we get to see all cutscenes and we don't have wrestlers like the undertaker behaving like a normal wrestler.
Something that gets me is how NXT is not even on the Universe schedule when it begins. Like why? It’s not a developmental place anymore but instead where new stars, the golden oldies and indie newcomers gets used to WWE and the audience through a intense brand where everything is at 100% and only the best got noticed.
The mode itself is fun and gives you plenty to work with. Enough stuff happens in rivalries and for long term motivation there is nothing that comes even close to universe mode.
However it's disappointing that yet another year there is a lot of bugs and inconveniences players have to deal with:
- Why are arenas that are in WWE 2K22 not available in universer mode?
- Why is there no option at all in the game to edit goup entrances? Seriously, when Imperium make their way to the ring Fabian Aichner memes Walter for example...thats not even an edited or created faction btw. it is set up this way by the devs...same with Retribution or Fantasma...There is not even a way to fix it yourself.
- Why are previous features like setting up individual goals for Superstars removed?
Mode is still good but there is no progression..I'd rather say it slightly regressed from past iterations!
Having trouble assigning women to the MITB briefcase they only let pick the world champ but never the women champ. Confused🤔

So I haven't downloaded alot and my BIGGEST PROBLEM is the roster. No matter how many times I edit it, delete Team, move around wrestlers to different brands, even put the championship with the current champion, it resets to default. EVEN SINGLE TIME. No matter what I do or what style I play it in. In classic I have to go in redo everything. . . . . Until it crash 😆

Another issue: if I have rivalries, and make a completely custom card, none of the matches will be rivalry matches, so there’s no cutscenes
Superstar mode sucks you can’t use custom arenas or choose which championships to include. What was the point of including this mode if you can’t custom everything you want to?

The main thing I wanted was to be able to directly control what happens in rivalries. The selections they give during cutscenes in superstar mode should be the available for everything. If you want it to flow on its own, just turn it off.
I’ve had storylines since 2k16 that have just progressed due to my own headcannon, 2k22 just makes it the same or harder to incorporate into gameplay.
Adding on the fact that the chain wrestling, rest holds, and the feeding system is gone this year just makes it feel lacking. The overall gameplay is good and has a great flow at times, but there’s no build. It’s 100% right out the gate every single time. I got through the honeymoon phase in a week.
*The loading times on PS5 are life changing though
The main glitch I have been having with Universe mode is superstars disappearing after a seemingly random amount of time. Seemingly once a rivalry is completed. If anyone has a fix to this, I’d truly appreciate it.
That problems that I have been having in universal mode is that whenever I’m creating rivalries certain superstars disappear and I can’t use them. For example if I want to create a rivalry I would choose the 1 contender which would be Kofi, then I would go to choose the United States champion which hypothetically is (sheamus). However sheamus would disappear and I can’t use him. This happens to me allllll the time. A lot of superstars are disappearing and I don’t know why. I tried restarting the game and uninstalling it but nothing works

Thank you, very good video. I agree with everything you said. Universe Mode is the mode I play every year and it's the main reason for me buying the games along with the Creation Suite. I always was disappointed about always getting the same 3 cutscenes years after years... Hopefully this is going to change this year.

Instead of things like my rise as a separate entity they should try and incorporate it into the universe mode. No ability to copy my rise character into universe mode so had to create the same character and all the move sets, entrances, victories and appearance all over again

Disappointed in the removal of superstar goals. They also have a setting for tag team formations and break ups, but they never happen during simulations. Even after years and years of simulating.
Happened all the time in 2k19. I’d wind up with the weirdest tag teams.
@@steveking1037 I can understand why some may not want that. But there's a reason for being able to turn it off. The randomness for me makes it more fun.
@@yesimcash923 I wasn’t complaining. The only time it bothered me is when it would happen immediately on a team losing the belts and I had to manually put them back together to rematch. I was actually playing that team when it happened, and there wasn’t even a cut scene!
I was only responding because you said it never happened, but, for me, I’d be playing 19 and one week an established team would be challenging for the belts, and the following PPV it would be one member and a random tag partner.

Its simple, bring back create a story mode so you can use in Universe mode as cutcscenes, while merging MyGM mode into Universe Mode too to run things as sand box or being able to focus on specific superstar career in Universe Mode while being able to make decisions pre-, during- and post- match with multiple options to choose from to affect your path in Universe mode.
they really have to bring back the promo option!!!! and being able to import custom tag teams created in the roster.
The extra 6 months they took to release the game were spent on removing characters like Cole and Wyatt. 😂😂 WWE 12 had the best Universe Mode.

I just wish they had gave us the promo segs but gave more options to backstage interviews of attacks to build rivals. But I’m liking the mode.
Damn, I was just thinking instead of giving us MyGM, they could have put it in Universe Mode as General Manager Mode. So we could have had the choice between Superstar Mode, Classic Mode, and General Manager.
Checked the update 1.06. Save still corrupted messages all over. Crash on universe when I try to make a new one. $60 for nothing
You should talk bout the fact the money in the bank x cash in never shows up and the mid match cash in when you pause the game doesn't work
Can't even start the mode man, seriously have to wait. I would delete the save file & start from scratch but gotta redo showcase mode, etc to unlock those i need. I don't know man .....these downloaded caws......
Cons: No more promos. That's a major foul... a Red Flag foul. Rivalries that don't end. Instant Very High level rivalries. Instability. As for Superstar mode, I tried it with Chyna and she was stuck as a tag team competitor... really annoying.

I have noticed a lot of glitches and broken in this mode so far...the UpUpDownDown for example is unusable in it. and I even did a Universe where I gave no one a title but had 12 championships. and NOT a single PPV or Weekly show did the Ai put a single championship on the line in any match. and I even edited the divisions. I haven't been able to use Universe mode as much as I did in 2K19. I've been on GM mode more which is weird...considering how barebones it is.
Also Also....Do NOT under any circumstances book a Backstage Brawl match in Universe mode. Good god..I put Owens and Zayn in a BB match and they spawned in the middle of all boxes and spawned in the T-Pose and their skin turned to jelly and shiny plastic. (could have just been my game but good god I laughed my ass off)

I was getting the womens mitb to smackdown but it wouldn’t let me so now my universe mode has no WOMENS MITB
this mode should be combined with GM mode ,take Superstar mode out because that's just my rise and boom perfect less room for bugs

@@AssembleShow & for ppl that don't want the competitive aspect, just like in most sports games franchise mode where you can turn off the salary cap, a simple button in the option menu to disengage the budget
My only issue is there is a cutscene that makes progressing in Superstar mode and possible where you can be in a cutscene, your your rival is in a match against an opponent and something happens and they're backing up only for your superstar to appear behind him. But if you're superstars not actually there, it's just an invisible person and wants to come see it's completed. That superstar is no longer available in the ring. So the rival is facing off against a non-existent person and as a result you can't complete the match. It makes it completely impossible to progress. That is a glitch that I hope is being worked on because it does make the game breakable

The main problem with universe, at least in my opinion, is that you can't put custom matches in rivaries and must work with what WWE gives you, which is boring and useless... especially if you want to grind points to buy superstars, belts and arenas.
Universe mode has the potential to be the best mode in the game but he gets so much disrespecting zero attention bro I don’t understand how we’ve had The same mold and there’s nothing you do it you know we got cut scenes we don’t have promos anymore we can’t do anything new with the rivalries we can’t it’s just the same old copy and paste it was super storm out that’s all it is and it’s it’s insulting and it’s maddening Oh I don’t even know how I was looking forward to this mode more than anything else because I love universe I’m a diehard universe and superstar mode is a good more that I would like to play but there’s just nothing new to the mode aside from that and it’s really disappointing Bro
I can’t save any custom matches in universe mode. If I save the show I set up or even play a couple matches before saving and exiting, when I come back the title is no longer there and the wrestlers I set are swapped out. I seem to remember the same thing in wwe 2k20.
My biggest issue is that with 2k19 and such.. You can't cash in during a PPV. You had to do that before or after it and that sucks because I'd love my CAW to have his Seth Rollins heist, even having your superstar leave and return with cheers galore or Hails of boos after like 6 months... That would be so awesome
Universe mode crashed three times while adding my CAWs. I managed to get them in by editing the shows instead of the rosters.
I'm also annoyed that we can't import teams from Play mode. I had to recreate all of my custom stables and I even had to put Rey & Dominik in a tag team because they weren't already assigned as one.
Unfortunately it IS the renders 🥲🥲 I decided to put it to the test and I downloaded up to 40 CAWs and multiple attires for them with NO renders. And there's NO crashes . Or random attire parts disappearing. That sucks. Cause you can't use features that are in the game. I have hundreds of unused MB .😔
But WITH renders I think a safe number of characters downloaded is 10 * to 15 maybe.

You don't even have to add created content for universe mode to crash the game.
I started tag team in universe on superstar mode. And I can't set up an entrance with a custom entrance video without the game crashing.
Biggest bug that happened was when Dakota attacked my wrestler in a cut scene. Then the match started and the ref didn't appear in the ring. So without a ref I couldn't win via pin fall or submission. I couldn't win the match and continue to the next week. It wasn't until I realized that rope breaks still occurred in the match. I then decided to get a weapon and hit my opponent. I lost by DQ and the match ended.
My winning streak ended but I got to at least get out that match to end the week.
Even with an extra 5 month delay 2k still released a game plagued with unexcusable bugs.

What I can say it’s still good even without promos it’s like it follow up to rivalries depend who they fighting but I ll give it to them with the commentary it’s way better it don’t be random stuff being repeated they actually focus on what’s goin on
The biggest issue with Universe mode is that it is very very much the same as 2019's. There are very few differences. No big improvements.
i wish they had a clear all option in universe mode, its so tiring to clear out everyone's friends and enemies plus redoing the divisions. Like someone said in the comments it'd be nice to be able to sort the actual superstars in that brand only versus having access to everyone when you're trying to book matches in a show.
the thing that’s bugging me with universe mode, is that my arenas keep reverting to ‘Raw 2019’ instead of the arena i set, getting really irritating now
Superstar mode is broken. I won the 8-man ladder match at Money in the Bank with AJ Styles yet it still doesn't unlock the "I want to cash in my Money in the Bank" option in the curation menu! So WTF is the point of winning these special matches if nothing changes?
Really the main positive in the mode is not having your champion fight non title matches. I’m not sure how it is done but twice after setting it up I have had the champions defend the title every time they wrestle.
I can't even add custom Arenas to my Universe. Also when I try to build new stables, or tag teams, it crashes. I have all my AEW roster ready, with renders. But good luck getting a custom AEW brand on there. Also, ice seen glitches with adding a PPV, and it duplicates it in a previous month. So now I got 2 revolution PPVs, haha. But once again, I can't even get those custom Arenas to show up on my brand. It goes back to RAW 19. This needs fixed. I've always loved Universe mode, and it's literally the only thing that will keep you playing year round, unless Online is perfect. Hopefully a patch comes soon.

@Miss Pretty Gothic Chic nope. I never had a problem with the game until I started downloading from community creations. I think the renders may have something to do with it. But that doesn't explain that you can't add a custom arena to the universe mode. So im not sure.
@Miss Pretty Gothic Chic it's actually really gun, and universe still works fine if you use the default one. All other modes are a lot of fun. I'd still say get the game.

A few issues I've been having that are annoying to me are when moving and/or creating a PPV sometimes it changes or removes other PPV's that were already set. For example I created a Judgment Day PPV in February and moved Elimination Chamber to March and it deleted the NXT Stand & Deliver which is in April. I then went to re-add NXT S&D and when I do it creates NXT In Your House. I changed all the stuff like the ring, image, etc... from NXT IYH to NXT S&D and when I hit save it still created NXT IYH. Also I wanted Raw and Smackdown to each have a men's and women's MITB briefcase. I added custom briefcases but only the men's titles are eligible to be selected even though I have 2 separate briefcases on each show. I did one Raw and one Smackdown women's MITB ladder matches with the custom briefcases and Bazler won for Raw and Banks for Smackdown I go back to the option to see if it then gave them the briefcase but it didn't. I even went back and added the original women's briefcase back but it still didn't allow me to select a women's title. A minor issue but with the renders sometimes they seem extra huge when you're checking out the show card. It's not that big of a deal but something I noticed. Maybe I just have to try and adjust them somehow.
Hopefully they'll add more story lines to universe mode
don't like the idea I can't have a superstar be in a tag team and go after a single title. Also, during entrances have the manager just disappear. Had where I play a character who goes against a Superstar in a rival, for only the rival Superstar shows up holding nobody to take over in the match. Then the character I was chose to play just disappear from the match.
2k KNEW universe mode was broken when they put this crap out. They should have NEVER let Yukes go. Since they left everything has gone to trash. Will not buy unless they can fix this mess. The problem is they had 2 years & still couldn't get it done, I won't hold my breath.

All they had to do was let us import our own dialogue for the promos section and we would of been alright. Also why do they have the nwo souled out arena and raw 2005 arena not selectable in universe mode. Stupid
I'm having an issue with the Superstar mode. I'm trying to be a tag team so me and my kid can play together but it keeps making me fight my tag team partner. I even started one with Jimmy Uso and three of the first four matches he was fighting Jey Uso. Any suggestions other than switching over to the classic mode
I wish we could put two shows on the same day cause I would love to have the Monday night war. Also why can't we use sold out in the mode that really bummed me out. If UK thunderdom turns into money in the bank again ima lose it but at least it's not 2k20.
universe mode's superstar mode is like 2k16 mycareer but with more features
It feels like a lesser game in many regards than what was in 2k19. Run ins are more tedious, and non-existent if you are in superstar mode. Which sucks, as I used to like to establish rivalries by doing run ins on my potential rival and messing up their matches. Also as you pointed out, no promos. I also used to enjoy multi man matches, but they seem way worse in 2k22 with some of the new systems and targeting being problematic.
I'm sorry to tell yall the new patch is out as of rn and universe mode create a show and custom titles still cause the game to crash
My biggest gripe about single player universe was I won the Universal title in just my 4th match... Kind of felt like I had already accomplished the major goal just a few matches in... lol
With the match table I wish you could set what titles you want on the line for each match type like if I wanna have a hardcore title I only want hardcore matches for that championship
The real issue is when you set up the match tables if you put championship on a low percentage even at 1 percent every single week the belts will be taught for every night it’s annoying to see the main heavyweight belt being fought for every night
