It's never been about the hole punching, It's always been the fact that for viera hats to work, they have to remove all the hair (pay attention for things such as the felicitous hood and even your reaper's enshroud, you're suddenly a late stage cancer patient) Ande since for the other races, they can just make parts of the hair go invisible to work with hats, but not for viera or hroth for..reasons....they won't do it. TLDR, unless they can cover up Viera losing all their hair with a helmet or any other form of full head covering, don't expect hats.
@ Oooor you could do as other games do, like Xenoverse 2 for example, just make a (or a few) default Viera hat-hairstyles and assign them to each and every difficult to apply hairstyle. It's clunky at best, but still better than cutting Viera and Hroth off of 90% of headgears. If modders can do it, so can a multi dollar company.
Okay but we, reluctantly, get it taking time to adjust to those different shapes with older hats if never. There is NO excuse to not put the work in for headgear released after Viera and Hrothgar released @hufflepuffler2575

0:35 hopefully as per the update form them, they figure out how to depict curly hair in the engine and release some new hairstyles with actual curly hair. Doing the Wave is the limit of what they can do, but hopefully in the future we can see something akin to the contest winner's design.

I am hoping this will be a online store but if it is in the game please do not lock it behind the new chaotic raid. The reason I say this is because they mentioned hairstyles for it and I am unsure of any of the rewards from the new upcoming raid have been found or not. I hope it is available to all players as lots have wanted it for a long time :)

I am honestly pleasantly surprised to see that Zero's and Hilda's hairstyles are compatible with make and female characters. The story character-based sets usually have quite a bit of restrictions on them (dyeability, gender, etc)... but it's nice that these sets seemingly lack those... or at least some of them. I think that, if they are indeed in the store, it makes them all the more appealing to me. Also, as an aside, your miqo'te is really cute :3

I’m not a fan of the modern style clothing. I was really hoping for more fantasy options. Adding modern attire is fine, but I wish they would include more fantasy styles as well instead of going all modern now

It's not like it's hard to find or make. Again your being extremely biased and it shows. Because you can't tell me that this game is fantasy when the last area in hw is a flying city/lab. You also can pilot a mecha in one side story. While the whole plot of the game starts by a death star blowing up. Not saying they shouldn't add full armour and the like. But comments like your are just to put it bluntly disingenuous. This game has been si-fi with high fantasy for years. Like 99% of ff games it part of the series. If you don't enjoy it play ff11 or dragon quest(good games btw) Even using the PvP example you lost one piece of fantasy gear while you also got 12 (new dun/A.r raid) this patch not counting the mog station outfit which out number the modern outfits.

I'm trying to decide if I should change from au ra to viera but the main detractor for me is that I won't be able to wear Zero's hat and that I can't make them as short as the male viera. I know there are mods for that but for some reason, I don't feel comfortable modding an mmo
The no hats holds me back from going Viera too. It's unfortunate. One of my mains is RDM, and how can you not have their over the top hats on? I love their looks and emotes otherwise, and I have lvl 50 male and female Viera alts so I can still play them when I want, but my main will stay non-Viera until they add hats.

So... call me a conspiracy theorist, but usually seeing 's attire tells me that the character is going to get a costume change in the coming patches then the attire goes on the store months later. Not always accurate considering I think you can get Y'shtola's current garb at the store.

Hilda's gear is ingame iirc? it'd be huge copium if they added it for something like MGP, Zero's outfit is definitely going on the mog

So... call me a conspiracy theorist, but usually seeing 's attire tells me that the character is going to get a costume change in the coming patches then the attire goes on the store months later. Not always accurate considering I think you can get Y'shtola's current garb at the store.
