Fr thank you so much. I was getting so annoyed cause I was trying to take a nap, but I couldn’t get my blinds down and then when I got them down, I was literally crying because I was so happy. I was so confused. I thought it was stuck since it was so heavy, but I found out it’s meant to be that.

Welcome to the US! Actually, there’s another style of window blind/venetian blind that is cordless. Landlords like them because they don’t have dangerous cords.

You're video is a life saver! If i had purchased these blinds myself, even after figuring out how they worked, i would have destroyed them out of spite. Its very poor design that its not intuitive when it should be. All other blinds are.

If you make the slats horizonal - flat - so you can see out - it's easier to raise and lower them and less strain on the mechanism

my parents had a business selling blinds for 30+ years . Never raise or lower blinds unless slats fully open. Can you tell us which of the 4 strings on the right go to what part of the ladder and how to shorten these with cords. Parents elderly now and they cannot recall and many vids do not show up close.
To adjust the cords, I pull them one by one. You could possibly label them. I don’t shorten the cords, but once the blinds are leveled/adjusted, I tie them together with a knot. If there are small children around, I clip them up.

I have a question, I have blind with strings on both sides over kitchen window at night when we close them they won't stay closed they open part ways on their own. I use a clip to hold the string in down position and hook the clip to my cabinet. Is there any way to adjust the string so blinds will stay shut

I guess I didn't explain it very well, if I pull string to close blinds they fall back partially open
I accidentally pulled the right side hangings which are short and didn’t pull the longer ones
Now the blinds are half way up but now I cannot put them down again
What’s your suggestion for me to pull down all the blinds
If the blinds are uneven, pull the individual strings until they line up. Tie a knot in the strings so they stay lined up. You should be able to follow the instructions in the video afterwards.

I don’t get a click noise and this isn’t working for me for closing them 😭
Did you ever figure it out? Because yeah it isn't working for me either, my parents can adjust my blinds easily but I sure as hell can't 😂😂

Did the mechanism click? If yes, it may be broken or you may need to physically pull the blinds down after you hear the click. Be gentle. See if it’s stuck.

This type of blind is hard to pull up n drop down. Not ideal type of blind. I find it clumsy to use
