I came here in 83 with my wife from East London we were 29 and 24 at the time. I’m now 70 and it’s the best decision we ever made. Unfortunately we didn’t move from Brisbane to the Sunny Coast until 2012, wish we settled here first. Love Brizzy but the Sunshine Coast is special ❤️ I hope you make a wonderful life here if you decide to stay.
yay, this was one of my first suggestions for you to check out when first moved here. I'm glad you liked the walk, last time I did the full hike through there was when my now 29 year old daughter was in a little baby carrier bag thing so I could bring her with me for the walk! 😄
@@IsabelleeDow next good place to check is up at the hinterland, in Montville there's a really awesome water hole called Kondalilla Falls that you have to walk down a long trail from the top carpark. Haven't been there in ages now but it's so nice up there! As well as all the other places along the top of the mountain from Mapleton to Maleny (pronounced Malainy) where you can look out over the coast from some vantage points along the way and visit Mary Cairncross Park with forest walks and an architectural building showing cool information about the wildlife there.

Oh hilarious! When you mentioned the guy you'd been seeing, there was a man standing behind you that all of a sudden came into view - a tad older than you and I was a bit surpised.... until his wife came into shot 🤣
Good morning and well done. You won't regret coming to Oz. So much to learn, so much to do, so much fun. When money and time permits go for a snorkel or learn to scuba dive. The latter can be a little bit expensive ... but the ocean is a beautiful place. Just keep an eye out for toothies (sharks) and if seen just don't panic and swim away slowly and calmly. But the number 1 rule ... "Never dive alone" for your own safety. Oh ... and please learn to read the beaches for rips and how to deal with them. Too many tourists are lost not understanding them. The local Surf Life Saving Club should be glad to help or check it out online.
I really don't think I ever will! I love to explore and learn new things, is nice to have a lot to be curious about :) Hoping to get my scuba training in the next year or two - hopefully my boat and jet ski one before the end of this year! Defiantly need to learn about the rips so thank you for that reminder!

I’ve just spent a week in Noosa, was with someone doing the triathlon. Went for walks through the National Park every day, so good!
The tea trees are all around you, they are shortish, almost bush-like with small thin spike shaped leaves, very fragrant. Also look out for turtles!
