I do steampunk and my favorite skirts come from thrift stores. One is a black very full skirt with trim and lace, probably a dance performance dress, and the other is also a full skirt that is by a designer brand but was pink. Otherwise it was perfect. I dyed it purple, and it happened to perfectly match my purple parasol. It's crazy what people discard and donate.

I have 3 sewing machines! I love dresses that are jumpers. I am following you since you are friends with Ms. Canada!

The orange outfit looked good. It would be fun to see if you can find something from a second hand shop and rework it to something different. eg skirt to pants, or dress to skirt. Could also be fun to see you try to find something second hand and rework it into a vintage look or something
We mainly have small charity shops locally, and you have to aim for the correct ones. Eg i was having coffee with a friend and wanted sheets etc for mock up fabric. I went in 6 shops in that town and not a single sheet to be seen, they were like little boutiques!

So far I have visited Austria, Switzerland and France. Every single time I went shopping in my life the taxes had already been included in the price tag. I mean... why would you not? Why stress people out if they even have enough money to buy the things they want / need to? If it is to force people to practice their math skills there are better methods methinks XD I love your channel, I really do. But sometimes I just sit here and wonder "US... are you ok?"
Yeah, we're not okay over here, but for so many other different reasons (like lack of healthcare or vanishing human rights). Adding the taxes in is a minor inconvenience, esp here in WA where it's an even 10%.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions Healthcare even in Germany has gotten worse over the last 10 or 15 years. Every time I run into an argument with my insurance I just think "Keep calm, it's not like in the US, not like in the US..." So yeah, your healthcare system (or lack thereof) is infamous.
