I’m a non-creative creative trying to be creative person going through the same! Lol. Really though, I had a tough mental health day on Tuesday, and took the rest of week off at work, which where I work was on spring break anyway so it wasn’t entirely a big deal for me to leave and get rest, but yeah, I’ve been in a funk lately. I’m still learning to find that balance between honoring feelings and resting versus doing and going for it despite how I feel. 🌝 great video, Sheila! Thanks for sharing with us.
You were speaking to my soul. I’ve been doing the same thing escaping with true crime and unable to pick up a book that holds my attention (even though I really want to read!!!). You are not alone! Thanks for another great vlog! Xoxo
Im currently binging a ton of your videos as im new to the channel and was wondering how you got started as an archivist and what path you took to get there. I am seriously considering potentially going to school to become an archivist or something related but not sure if i should major in history or english, what other resources are out there to learn more about being an archivist beyond just school, and how to potentially get involved in my community to get some hands on experience whether just shadowing someone or maybe getting an internship and how to go about doing something like that. Id love to see a video coving some of that stuff if you dont already have some (again im new so you may have already done this). I love these videos regardless though!
I'm so happy to hear my videos have inspired you to think about becoming an archivist! I have answered these questions in a few of my Q&A videos and I sometimes sprinkle in information in my vlogs. Hope these can help!
