the most underrated singing group of the 80's
agreed
Uh-huh
The Force MDs deserve a movie just like New Edition!
Maybe someday.
Maybe it can be called “Tender Men.”
Yes they most certainly do.

FACTS!!!!
I was a mate on the Ferries back then and got to know Mercury very well. He was surprised I knew he was, but I was very into Video Music Box, and all the NY R&B acts like Full Force, the Fat Boys, Heavy D, Keith Sweat, etc. One night I was working late and I heard TC's voice from the terminal. I talked to Mercury and he and TC came up to the pilothouse and sang with me the whole way to Staten Island. What a voice. My old Irish Captain had no idea who they were, and was shocked when I told them they had a worldwide number one single and several other hits songs. Never forget that night. RIP to both of them...
bless you brother! helluva memory to have
great story, thanks for sharing it
one of the best groups of our time "the golden years 80's"
Tender Love is one of the best ballads ever recorded. These brothers were the fore-runners for acts with the RnB / Hit Hop flavor because they showed that the culture could produce more than just rap. New Jack Swing started with groups like this and what Teddy Riley was doing.
You made that up… NOTHING they did qualified as New Jack Swing … NJS was started , founded and influenced by the production of Teddy Riley and him alone
@@thetruthandnothingbutthetr6484 True but groups like Force MDs and may I say Timex Social Club and even Loose Ends laid out that foundation for NJS.
Saw an impromptu performance at the Tommy Davidson Show at the Baltimore Comedy Factory. He brought the Force Md's and they sang this song!! What a show.
These guys are, was and always will be 🔥🔥🔥
What a wonderful group! Sooo many memories!!
Music I grew up on........the greatest.......amazing talent.....
Brings a tear to my eye to know these brothers are gone.
All of them????
Juan Santiago all of them are not dead.
@@Ladyteeslove1 Trisco, Charles, TC and their old DJ are dead. So 4 are gone
@@jayporterr isn't TC AND Stevie uncle jessie daniels who's in the group also isn't he still living

Force MD's forever! RIP Jessie D. I love the song and video for Tender Love and watching Jessie D walk off at the end of the video; swag for days!!!! Stevie D is the last surviving member now. What an awesome group. TC and Eddie Kendricks are definitely the falsetto Hall of Fame!!! As the legendary Kangol Kid said (wow RIP to him also) I can sing, dance, and rap in just one show. These guys were the total package and they did it with excellence! Thank you for this recorded memory.
Yes and every guy had their own swag you could tell it TC with the little slide Jessie walking down the steps too.
I know kangol kid was a talented guy himself he could sing dance rap ,produce rip to him as well .
25:31 TC's side step was too smooth Stevie D had a beautiful smile.
One of my favorite groups ❤️ the Force MD'S. I still listen to their music in 2022. Rest In Peace to the members who is no longer with us, Mercury, TCD,Trisco and Jesse D. Blessings to the surviving members Stevie D, Khalil and nephew Zieme for continuing the Force MD'S legacy. I hope one day that the surviving members are inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame while they are still alive. The Force MD'S would be so deserving of this honor.
I love this song "Couldn't Care Less" T.C.D sound like Smokey Robinson on this track. I wish he was still alive, I would love to see him and Smokey perform a duet together.
what a group they was the best I love them
They deserve a Hollywood Star⭐
I agree
I agree they are well deserving of an honor..
This is the first time I’ve heard Mercury and TCD speak. God bless the souls of those that no longer here with us. Aside from that, thanks for uploading this rare video.
Thanks for listening and this is probably the only interview recorded on video with them all together!
They were amazing in their prime!!!! Hands down one of the most underrated nd mismanaged groups of all time. I thought they were going to start singing 'Let Me Love You' during the mini concert. Thats definitely one of my favorites. The fact that this station was a very proactive anti-drug network is great. America still needs that now from every direction. JUST SAY NO!!!
RIP TC, Trisco, Mercury Keep it going Stevie & Khalil!!!!!
Thanks for recognizing. My family close friends
Isn't the one still living jessie tc and Stevie uncle
Jessie is now joined in Heaven too
@@devyhnwiggins5589 he was and yes he was their uncle sadly he passed away.
I miss them they were just great. For example when you watch them singing "Itching For A Scratch" & they start bboying (Breakdancing) you knew everything they did came from a real place inside "Their hearts". Tender Love Legends who calmed the heart RIP.
at that time there was no evil everything was beautiful I would like to go back to those times
They had more to offer, than new edition! R.🙏🏿P, Tc, mercury & Trisco.
Music is outstanding,🎶 love music lives on, sad.. so many of them departed, but there never be forgot, rest in peace my brother's ❗🙏
I thank you for introducing the greatest music that ever been created. God bless, rest in peace to the fallen members of force mds.love guys.

TC voice was so Underrated dude had so much soul son.
Yes he did it was very reminiscent of the throwback doo wop crooners like the legendary Smokey Robinson.

This is a 👍 great exclusive of the Fabulous
*****FORCE MD'S***** they were craftsmen on top of they craft.💫 They singing, 🎤📀🎵harmony, and performances was in unity with one another as one; good to great 👏
Great to Good whichever one. They songs was different and distinct even they rapping was. They 🤍💚 Love Lyrics was/ is🎧💯
meaningful and real they definitely knew how to sing 📀 they had the musical touch.
The *****FORCE MD'S***** wasn't ⚖️📴underrated they wasn't in that class they were proficient and had too much talent.
Whenever I listen to they songs 💚 🤍 it's like listening for the first time, they have my undivided attention. Any song they sang 🎤 they knew how to sing it not missing🥁🪘 a best. The *****FORCE MD'S*****were true artists in they moments of times🎤🥁🎷🎻 🎵🪘📀🎧🎈💖
They should do a movie about them like the temptation. I remember thinking tcd had and still has the most prettiest male voice ever. I am so sad he perished at such a very young age. Rip to him and all the other members who has died.
Why ? They didn’t have the hits the record sales or the longevity
@@thetruthandnothingbutthetr6484 because they aren't mentioned with other popular 80's groups Surface, Troop, they had the talent it was the label not promoting them enough.
@@thetruthandnothingbutthetr6484 no but they do have an interesting back story before the fame I would love to see a movie about them maybe it's just me I can't speak for others who don't agree.
@music lover1984 I would love to see a movie about this legendary group. Love The Force MD'S.
The mighty Hawthorne Mall. I seen The Boys in concert there back in 1988 around the Christmas holiday, and when they hit the stage, young girls lost their damn minds, especially when they hit that backflip at the same time while singing Dial My Heart!!
The Hawthorne mall back then was pop-in in the early eighties, on Saturday's, and the movie theater to fun times.
@@mdcool3487 I believe it I was watching something on here yesterday about Rosie Perez being their choreographer and yes I remember when all of the little girls went crazy over them in the 80's I was one of those little girls back then who liked them.
Stevie & Merc took me waaay back..lol....only thing missing was lord k-wan & d.j. Dr. Rock...if you were there to see them live in the very early 80's....you would never forget it💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Rock on!
That's great, if you can dance make up your own routine...miss our guys that are in Heaven now...we need good songs without the diss track and studio sounds...just real singing from the heart!!!

Keith’s Jheri curl is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
force m d's could blow.
I hope the Force MDs get their own biopic
Would be great - I have the footage!!!
This group should be considered one of the best groups. Somebody tell me why Jessie D went solo to do his solo career. Did he ever make a album? Somebody tell me
Unfortunately Jessie D never got the chance to make his solo album. Sadly he ended up being hooked on drugs, got in trouble with the law and wound up in jail while the rest of the group made their second album. Luckily he finally got his life together and joined back up with the group from that moment on until his death.
No Jessie D never went solo, during the making of the video Love Is A House, Jessie was in jail serving 3yrs he said it himself during an interview.
Who else was singing along with love is a house admit it ?.
Wish John Singleton could’ve done their film 🎥 🎞️
Good Times !!!!!
Wasn't they DJ DR.ROCK ON THE NWA AND THE POSSE ALBUM
love love this song I got my brother hooked off this song

Tender Love by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis 💜💜💜
Thank you IceMan
This was filmed in May 1987, not '88.
❤❤❤❤❤
You know this shit is old, if it has entertainers doing anti-drugs commercials. When is the last time you've seen an anti-drug commercial with entertainers?😂😂
Crazy how it was so many commercials on not doing drugs, and at the same time crack was DESTROYING our community. Looking back it was like putting a band aid on a fucking bullet wound. We lost so many souls
I know right I do find that ironic .
Jesse is also Stevie and TC's uncle
Isn't he still living or he passed away
@@devyhnwiggins5589 Jessie is still alive. When Keith mentioned that there were 5 members and how Jessie left, he was kicked out the group for being on drugs and being locked up for selling cocaine to an undercover cop and was sent away for 3 years. The only ones that are alive is their nephew, Stevie, Khalil and Jessie.
@@devyhnwiggins5589 He just passed away last week 😢

Now sadly 4 members have passed.
Yo!!!! Simple ass interview!!
I'm feeling sad right now 😢
The Wu sound like them when they talk. Must be a Staten Island thing
Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought crack and cocaine are two different types of drugs. I don't need a full thesis statement of what the two drugs are. Just yes or no answers.
(You say you're looking for a lover some one you can talk too)... what song is that?
Collage .."Get In Touch With Me" ...
