    Very nice explanation.. Thanks you so much for such a nice tutorial which I was looking for....

    Excellent explanation... But I have some doubts... Please clarify
    1.You have presented three videos about directional relay. Where to use self polarised, cross polarised and residual voltage method. All are showing different tripping region.
    2. In self polarised method you have rotated clockwise to draw MTL. In cross polarisation method you have rotated the phasor clockwise to draw MTL. In residual method again you have rotated the phasor clockwise to draw MTL.
    3. In relays only RCA and PU values settings implemented. So how to find out tripping regions for relay testing.
    Please explain..
    Thank you

      1. for earthfault the direction earthfault is different then overcurrent.
      2.same in earthfault the residual voltage direction change so it different form overcurrent
      3.in numerical relay has both self and cross polarised method some relay we have to choose. if not they will have only one polarised method. this can be seen in manual of the relay.

    at 4:30s in your video, as previous calculation V0 is 60 degrees and I0 is 180 degrees for fault of L2-ground but your diagram is they are 60 degrees same? Can you explain for me, thanks.

    Sir,Thanks a lot for clear explanation one doubt I have as per explanation R-phase to E/F in forward case V reference you took opposite to Vr same way reverse explanation 180 opposite you took that is in phase with Vr up to that it was clear .
    But in Y to E/F and B to E/F direction is mentioned in the drawing reverse but the fault is not in phase direction with corresponding phases so that as per my understanding it’s forward direction diagram if I wrong please explain sir.

    • @baranitech1026
      @baranitech1026  3 года назад

      yes your correct. i have made for forward only for Y and B .

    For Earth fault always RCA should be in Negative. But you mentioned +40. What is the reason?

    Nice & clear explanation, however, I have doubts in the Io calculations as below:
    when I1 = 2.8 L 0 degree
    I2 = 1 L 240 degree
    I3 = 1 L120 degree
    Io should be = 0.60 L 0 degree
    whereas you calculated 0.6 L180 degree
    also there is difference when I calculate Io for faults on I2 and I3
    Please explain your calculation?
    Thanks

    For r phase you considered vref at 0 & 180 degree..... For y and b phase what are the angle for v ref to be considered

    • @baranitech1026

      for y is 110 to 290 and for b its 170 to 350 . this i have show at the end of the video

    RCA = 40 degree. Why we not draw in anti clock wise direction As a reference of Vref

  • @SantoshKumar-nk5ve
    @SantoshKumar-nk5ve 3 года назад +1

    Sir, if RCA angle is -45 degree then MTA should be anticlock wise direction from Vref or same clockwise??

    • @baranitech1026
      @baranitech1026  3 года назад +1

      yes it should be in anticlock wise direction

      @SantoshKumar-nk5ve sir this angle (RCA) depends upon Network earthing like compensated, isolated & Solidly earthing. Here Isolated depends upon capacitance charging current when fault accrued (that is taken RCA - 90 deg lag). Compensated depends upon Capacitance & Inductance (that is RCA - 0 deg). Solidly earthing inbetween 0-90 deg). I hope this is correct & if wrong kindly clear me.
