Your right to be offended comes along with your right to choose what you expose your self to. And your rights to NOT be offended doesn't trump my ability for free speech. As Dave Chappelle once said, I speak so that I can continue to think. During my thinking and speech you might get offended, that is about you and not me, We can discuss it and create space to be understood. However, if I or anyone tried to curtail their words and thoughts at every interaction, on the possibility of offending someone then NO ONE would ever speak....ergo free speech is lost, and the extreme people win and the country and individual autonomy is lost. America is then gone.

The irony is that the only reason for the protests was JACOB BLAKE was shot for walking to his car with no weapon. He had his back turned to the officers while RITTENHOUSE had a gun on his shoulders clutching it at times and at several moments with his hands in the air and the police gave him water. It’s like the universe gave us the truth and a lot of people still missing it.

I think it was great that Rosenberg expressed his views on Dave’s takes and doubled down as Ebro had similar views previously but seemed to not express those in front of DL. My philosophy has always been that I will never tell a group if they should be offended or not. If they are, they are. It would be interesting to see if a white comedian said something racist/crazy about black ppl, if he would keep the same energy (and I say that as a Blk woman who would be offended if that happened)

For me I really want to know, what did Dave Chappelle say that prompted the reaction. I have watched it a few times trying to listen for what it is that I am missing. I honestly want to know. That is what I need made clear and I think many people need to understand with regards to why the reaction was so strong. At present, the reaction does not fit with what was said in the special. As I am not in the community, I think I must be missing something.
I understand that people are saying the community feels under threat but I am not sure what he said that would promote any violence or pose a threat. He specifically gave stories that stepped in to prevent possible situation that were harmful. What he did also highlight is how this cancel, internet trolling culture can contribute to self harm. As with most of his shows, you have to take the show as a whole to get the full message.
Like I say, there could be something I am missing so very interested in respectful informed responses that are aimed to educate and not further promote a toxic online environment.
Ebro talks about the media “lying”… yet openly lies about the rittenhouse case… while conveniently Ignoring Andrew Coffee being exonerated the same day. Zero grounds to nuance or objective reality.
@@kipwonder2233 it’s a very small minority of people who deny the unequal and unfair treatment of black people by our justice system, those that do are not being honest.
My question tho is why do you think the best way to create a more fair, equal, and just country is by treating/hoping/demanding that white people be treated the same way black people are. So because a black kid would of had a worse outcome with the justice system than Rittenhouse did, you think justice is demanding that Rittenhouse endures that same unfairness? Talk about a race to the bottom. The dream can’t really be that we just treat white peoples as equally bad as black people have been. Seems obvious that the answer is raising the black community to the same treatment.. (that we all agree they deserve) that white people already have had the privilege to experience. Not the other way around.

30 witnesses got on that stand and swore under oath (including ALL of the prosecution witnesses) that he was not the person chasing or confronting anyone.
He was being chased, proven by multiple video pictures and witnesses.
He fired that gun only when being attacked OR when someone stuck a pistol in his face point-blank.
We were lied to by media who just made up what they thought happened.
They had no evidence, no facts, no information, but got millions to believe their narrative before any real facts came out.
Now, these liars are going to pay, including Biden, Behar, and hopefully Hughley.
He should know better than to comment on something with just the stories spoon-fed for self-serving media and personalities.
The boy broke NO laws.
Under Wisconsin laws, he was legal to carry a long gun. That is why those charges were dismissed.
He had a right to be 20 minutes from his house, where he worked, where his dad lived, where his grandmother and friends lived, where he was on a daily basis.

What you're I'll informed about is that he actually never crossed state lines with the gun. Look at the actual evidence presented in court, not what you read in inflammatory memes. The gun was bought in Michigan and it never left Michigan. Per the states own laws, he was in his complete legal right to have posession of that gun that night. Since obviously you don't know the laws in that state (which neither did the DA....shocker. or maybe he knew the law but didn't care and hoped the defense would miss it), the gun was legal because the barrel is over 16 inches. Under 16 inches and then it becomes a short barrel rifle and you need an ATF tax stamp to legally have a SBR.
So apparently you think Kyle should have let the dudes pummel him and hope they'd stop before they killed him. Then spend weeks or months in the hospital. You'd just let that happen to yourself right? What if it was your sister or girlfriend or wife in that position....they should just let the besting happen and hope for the best? What if it was your mom.....tell her not to pull the trigger and hope for the best too??? You can't be serious and suggest people not defend their own lives, are you? Do you think any of those 3 people would have just stopped? Think of the mentality it takes to chase after someone running from you carrying a gun. What kind of an idiot does that?
