hello, our carplay interface come with other features but you don't need to use them. You can only use apple capplay

I have the mdx 2008 elite but my dvd drive under my seat is not working because winter in canada kill it it will wor with out that dvd drive?
Even if it doesn't work as long as you get an error message on the screen you can still install NavTool
What auxiliary jack does the 1/8" TRS plug in to? Whatever it is, I've never used it, only the USB to connect my phone (as it both charges, and sounds better than the bluetooth connection).
the audio jack is the audio input to car speakers
What is the mic for and do I have to connect it in order to mirror my phone?
The microphone is for Siri and you do not have to connect it

Any idea where to find instructions on how to upgrade head unit on base model? I don't have an installed screen anywhere to use the tool. I've looked everywhere on the net and no one has information on installing a replacement display to add carplay.
base model no navigation? then in 2010-2013 MDX not possible, you can change screen but its very very very hard and expensive task
