Here’s a “few” ideas: 1. Presets. Basically, multiple of those pre-programmed projectile coders. Select the desired one via book, and it uses that program! Can store 15 per book, but you could store many, many more… 2. Multiple projectiles. Basically, design it to also be able to fire anvils, arrows, ect. With the arrow one, it’s just like your wither-killing one, but stronger… also works for enderpearls. Now your ended pearl cannon can target anywhere! 3. Y-posistion. By having the y posistion, you should be able to target specific locations! Just teleport an enderpearl int someone’s base to appear there! Or set it in the cavern to teleport bellow when they show up. Send an arrow 1 block above where you know someone logged out! Teleport TNT into their base! With multiple firings, just send a block to each room, so it looks like just some tnt from normal means! 4. Programmed projectiles. So, instead of using a different equation for each projectile, you use an equation that is sort of the average. Then, depending on which is selected on the bard, it changes the program way it interprets it! So, a 4 might be a 3 for an anvil, but a 5 for a pearl. 5. Easy-aim. Similar to above. But, now you have 6 firing inputs. One of them is the cannons location, so it is off to the side. The other is for the x,y,z for the target. Then the cannon turns that into the necessary TNT based on the cannons location! 6. Rapid-target. Once set to fire, the TNT for sending those to the target location is formed in parallel to the main projectile 7. Wirless activated. Using wirless red stone, you can activate it far enough away to ensure the chunks are unloaded. 7b. The cannon has the parts controlling duping and interpreting the code, as well as the aiming system. It also has a spot for entering the cannons cords. But, the main system is outside render distance. You set the target cords, select the desired preset, and fire that turns a specific lap off, then starts! It uses that pre-set to run a system that wirlesly transmits what’s in the breadboard and (not sure how), droppers and timers. It makes the projectile, calculates and produces the proplelent, then fires. Once it detects it’s fired, it transmits a signal that turns a lamp on. You only need to go to the cannon to refill the stasis chamber! (You store as many ended pearls as you want. It takes one per ended-shot. But, you eventually run out… a wirless transmitter will turn on an alert. Then, via a button, you can wirelessly trigger a stasis chamber to send you there. Put one pearl in that one, put as many as you want in the ammo, push the button, and it sends you back to the controll room! Perhaps the dropper timers are sent by running them, then sending a signal? As you know when you started the timers, it can determine the settings from there. Then it just inserts the necessary items into the timers at the cannon. Once done, those timers are empty, ready for re-use 8. Some sort of protection to prevent plays from getting within render distance 9. Some method of protecting against this. I mean, an obsidian shell might work right now, but if something’s shot inside it… so, some sort of “anti-orbital-cannon” shield!
The duping itself is surprisingly straightforward. When a TNT block is both ignited and pushed by a piston at the same time, the game will spawn a lit tnt entity AND a pushed tnt block. The only tricky part is making both of these happen literally simultaneously, ie as a result of the exact same action. You can't just run a redstone dust line next to tnt and a piston, because there's an order of operations that the game handles stuff in per tick. You have to quasi-power the tnt block in a way that it doesn't actually register as powered, until updated by the piston pushing it, which is a bit of black magic nonsense. But the device itself is really compact and simple. Squibble has a good short video on it.
How difficult would it be to implement the coordinate-to-tnt calculation using redstone? I can see a massive benefit in being able to input something like the coordinate offset in the decimal encoder and watching the magic happen
Executional, probably not that hard, its just some extra math circuits, but it would probably massively inflate the build size, and require the builder have knowledge of how to configure the circuits for the cannon's coords
This is one of the most impressive things iv ever seen in Minecraft. It's incredible how small and simple it's getting! You should still make it be able to shoot in any direction though I feel like that was a really good feature
@@АртурГабдуллин-ы4л yes you could do that, but why not just continue to improve the design and add functionality. Why build two machines when one can do the work of both
@@geckomaster5084 Because in order to do that, the one machine would have to be substantially more complicated and expensive than strapping two of them together.
My man, you have all of my support. Im sure you are graduating. I mean if while studying you can make a nuclear strike orbital Canon, nothing will stop you. Keep going
Cubicmetre, I cant tell you, how impressive that is. I feel like im watching a liturall god play minecraft. That was by far, one of ur best videos ever, and overall on youtube
Few ideas how it can be improved even futher: Add a setting which lets you shoot anvils, enderpearls and diffrent combitations of these. Make it able to store multiple charged payloads and launch them one by one. Use wireless redstone to controll cannon, so that player can setup new payloads without loading stored ones.
Imagine if you use epearls? It would almost be /tp, and if you could make it wireless, it would be a literal /tp, since you could make it anywhere, whenever you want... it'd be incredible!
You could absolutely do a wireless set up to fire it, even to bring you back to the cannon if you want to retarget, maybe even a remote notification that its fired
I recreated your sorting machine in bedrock. Since bedrock can move full hoppers, dispensers, droppers, chests, with pistons. Very quickly on top of bouncing sand on pistons. I created a new sorting system that brings the chest to you. Just input the item, wait, and the specific storage chest comes to you. Once you close the chest, the chest automatically is pushed back to it's location. Unloading is done by pushing hoppers underneath the item/shulker loading chest, each one only accepts one item type, then moving those hoppers to unload in the correct chest. This is all automatically done and can un load a full shulker and have all items inside the correct chest in 4.5 minutes. You can even unload 10 shulkers at a time and it's the same 4.5 minutes. If I could show some of the best Java redstoners what bedrock is capable of, maybe they'd try it out!
Ah yes, the world download was taken at the same time as I took the schematic, and to ensure the chunkloaders aren't broken when the world is loaded I had to turn them off.
I feel that something like this is possible on bedrock but the problem is that every technical player that gets big usually is either on java or switches to java so were stuck with 9 year olds with their moms phone (although there are exceptions like silentwisperer and navynexus but it's not enough to have technical stuff like this)
To whom it may concern you can place observers and TNT next to structure blocks in specific orders to create self-propagating explosions that and trigger The Observer triggering the structure block triggering more explosions if you manipulate the xnz offset in the structure block menu you can get it's a spawn in different pattern one that I found recently looks kind of like a chain link fence and it expands in all directions and ended up crashing my game because it multiplied explosions to such a extreme degree my console could not take it.
You just don't stop, every video still impresses me. I wonder how this would look using fire charge, anvils or any entity that could survive to a tnt explosion.
This would be so cool for raiding enemy bases. You have a task force on the ground and they give you coordinates for a tactical orbital strike to make insertion easier.
You're getting too much power. I love that in the past year we went from insane storage, to exp farms, to hitting someone 5000 blocks away with an anvil, to mining the world with the push of a button, to litteral minecraft nukes.

Hey, do you think there is a way to have payloads qued up to resales on a target at moneys notice, or have multiple qued at a time so they could be fired in rapid succession? This is a rly cool video btw
It should be possible to store multiple payloads in lazy chunks and release them on demand, but it would be very sensitive to being loaded as the payloads would all explode.
Everyone is saying how it's scary that you could get your base blown up on an smp by a person who has a cannon like that, but is it actually possible to build one withouth command blocks, and if it is could you make a video of you making one step by step?
Does this have the same limitations as the previous one regarding TNT travelling distance? I recall in vanilla you couldn't add too much momentum as the game would crash, and to strike farther locations carpet mod was needed.
Actually that issue was caused by the previous design giving hte payload downwards momentum which I later learned would load all chunks along the path of the tnt. This new design completely eliminates the vertical momentum vastly improving the firing performance.
@@cubicmetre Thanks for the reply! Maybe I will tinker with it a bit and see the range of this version. I will definitely nuke a few bases (and lose a few friends) in the process 😈
I actually built this and tested it on a multi-player world with a decent quality server and it freezes the game for about 30 seconds for every 100 blocks it fires in distance. For distances over 1000 blocks that's a lot of lagg. And any distance beyond 1000 blocks generally will kick all the players as well.
My minecraft skin for my character has been the "firing mah lazer" guy since like 2010 or something and I put him in a lab coat in 2012. I think I basically MUST build this now haha
Smaller profile, so I might just go with building an array of these set to bunker buster payloads and have the array target the whole grid where the target is located. Edit : Major downside seems to be the long propellant charge duping time for extremely long ranges, due to the small batch size of the propellant duper. My current range requirements have it hitting the payload with propellants for almost an hour.
@@blacksmith2479 Yeah, that's what I'm forced to do, and the whole point of the "extreme long range" part of an extremely long range artillery is pretty much lost if it needs to be closer to the target (within 1% of its maximum range, which I will say IS still quite long by Minecraft standards) to be actually used. Also highly detrimental since these cannons can not be used if anyone is near it.

Once done, those timers are empty, ready for re-use
8. Some sort of protection to prevent plays from getting within render distance
9. Some method of protecting against this. I mean, an obsidian shell might work right now, but if something’s shot inside it… so, some sort of “anti-orbital-cannon” shield!
Le bomb.... Le killed villagers....
I wouldn't exactly call them people...
TNT duping is an artform I'll never be able to fully comprehend.
No Jessie it’s just basic chemistry
@@andrew6464YEAH SCIENCE
Its literally just dividing by a constant and subtracting the cannon coordinates, which are also constants. Shouldnt be hard.
Way easier than what he did here, like, way easier
Executional, probably not that hard, its just some extra math circuits, but it would probably massively inflate the build size, and require the builder have knowledge of how to configure the circuits for the cannon's coords

@@cubicmetre congrats my guy
Using the game entity speed limit to make that shape is just incredible. And the circular shapes you can make are beyond anything I though possible
This is one of the most impressive things iv ever seen in Minecraft. It's incredible how small and simple it's getting! You should still make it be able to shoot in any direction though I feel like that was a really good feature
I mean it is much smaller than before, so you can just create 2 cannons and shoot in any direction

“…and just to add insult to inventory…”

How the hell have you achieved this level of redstone before you even graduated?! You’re not gonna have an issue if you have this kind of dedication
1:40 "What Ive Done" -Lincoln Park. Truly an Oppenheimer moment.
Yay. New and different ways to kill.
Long distance shotgun TNT cannon a neat idea. I wonder what distributions of tnt work best. Or look coolest.
Few ideas how it can be improved even futher:
Add a setting which lets you shoot anvils, enderpearls and diffrent combitations of these.
@@Rockety521 you would have to load the area
Also tnt ender pearls cannons have existed for quite a while
I actually already did the wireless redstone idea on the original orbital strike cannon, it was *very* fun to remotely activate it.
holy shit shooting ender pearls is big brain and i didnt think of this, im not sure if its possible tho, maybe with a separate build?
You could absolutely do a wireless set up to fire it, even to bring you back to the cannon if you want to retarget, maybe even a remote notification that its fired
You are the man who gave them the power to destroy themselves
If I could show some of the best Java redstoners what bedrock is capable of, maybe they'd try it out!
this is actually incredible, this man is a genius
I love the singular piece of TNT in the very center of the uppermost section of the explosion.
For anyone downloading the map make sure the chunk loaders are turned on
tysm fixed my issue lol
Ah yes, the world download was taken at the same time as I took the schematic, and to ensure the chunkloaders aren't broken when the world is loaded I had to turn them off.
This man has singlehandedly started the tnt canon revolution
Nah bro he started the MC ww1
Wish there was something like this on bedrock, bedrock does not get nice things just bugs
minecraft bugrock edition
I feel that something like this is possible on bedrock but the problem is that every technical player that gets big usually is either on java or switches to java
so were stuck with 9 year olds with their moms phone (although there are exceptions like silentwisperer and navynexus but it's not enough to have technical stuff like this)

Nah they intentionally made it not work on bedrock bc missile silos arent family friendly
Theres no other youtuber whose uploads I click on quicker than yours.
I love that it doesn't just simply explode, it expands outwards first so that the poor target can witness the true scale of what is about to hit them.
I dig the stackable 1-wide design, it seems very efficient. I'll have to try using this for computers.
You're getting too much power. I love that in the past year we went from insane storage, to exp farms, to hitting someone 5000 blocks away with an anvil, to mining the world with the push of a button, to litteral minecraft nukes.
Bro , very nice I will support you.
My favorite 2023 movie, "Oppenheimer"... oh, I mean, "Cubicmetre"
time for docm77 to build this on the hermitcraft server. i swear, the next war he gets to is just gonna be armageddon, no holds barred.
initially, i wanted to build this as a flex, but then i realized i would never have to flatten a hill ever again!
😂
I love the concentric circles of the TNT. Really pretty. Congrats on 100K and your graduation! :D
I think it would be fun to see this in a semi-anarchy server. Like Lifesteal
Imagine 2 people building this thing on that server where 2 sides does not fire it because they both know if they fire it it's going to be the end of the server. That cold war feeling on other players will make it fun to watch

You forgot to put “running on a NASA supercomputer” in the title
"The shape of the explosion at the target destination..."
Oh no. They come in shapes now?!
Yayaya
Everyone is saying how it's scary that you could get your base blown up on an smp by a person who has a cannon like that, but is it actually possible to build one withouth command blocks, and if it is could you make a video of you making one step by step?
Does this have the same limitations as the previous one regarding TNT travelling distance? I recall in vanilla you couldn't add too much momentum as the game would crash, and to strike farther locations carpet mod was needed.
I'm pretty sure it does
Actually that issue was caused by the previous design giving hte payload downwards momentum which I later learned would load all chunks along the path of the tnt.
You might want to consider moving it closer.
