@Richard Eubanks Nope, until you have the choice to go alone and/or change leader you can game over if either you or your partner faint. If you have 4 pokémon for example, you are A and you partner is B, you only lose if either A or B faints without any reviver seed left in the bag, but if C or D faint you can continue the exploration without them. But if C is an important character (like grovile and celeby in the future) you can't let them faint. One more thing, this game doesn't really have a game over, you keep the xp gained during the fights, but lose all your money and some items.

Aw I am having all kinds of good memories with this (and how much that fight with dialga sucked) honestly that was the best mystery dungeon they made, and I loved that unique way you made that fight play out!
Man that fight was so difficult, especially when you're check pointed at the halfway point and out of revive seeds but you had no choice but to move forward. It was the worst.
Psyche It's easy to say that in hindsight. But most players on their first playthrough will go to Temporal Tower not knowing what to expect and will use most of their items before they even reach the checkpoint because of how difficult that place is, and then they have no choice but to move on hoping they find some decent seeds in the final few floors before Dialga.
Psyche Well good for you, but you're the exception because most people who played this for the first time had a lot of trouble with it (most people who played it were young kids at the time btw, not sure if you were).
Psyche Eh, it's kind of like a Baby's First Roguelike sort of thing. It's difficult in places, but unlike most Roguelikes it won't take countless hours of bashing your head against a brick wall to make any progress. While I did get a little frustrated with Magma Cavern/Groudon in Rescue Team and Temporal Tower/Dialga in Explorers, the satisfaction I felt when I finally beat them was unbelievable.
I'm not much of a fan of the mainline Pokémon games, Mystery Dungeon ones are far better. However, you made very good use of the battle system of ORAS for this, especially with making the characters talk like that under multiple scenarios. You've got a good thing going, keep it up.

The next day, I load the game and it said that the file was corrupted and was deleted, and that's when I gave up on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. It still haunts me to this day.

Syrus, I may have gotten a little GX inspiration from. Atticus on the other hand, I forget they used that name in GX sometimes. I first heard the name Atticus in "To Kill a Mockingbird" and have always liked the name ever since. Nice catch, though.
I would make that next, but unfortunately I'd have to go through the whole game again before going on to that one. I was only able to get the PMD2 footage for this one do to me having an old save that was saved directly after Dusknoir's fight. If I ever get around to playing it again, it's for sure on the list. :)
As stated in a previous comment, I edited stats. Specifically I lowered Riolu's attack stat (others were edited, but none as drastically) because Brick Break would do too much damage to Dialga. That can sometimes screw up the HUD.
You don't realise how many times I got beat by Dialga, but I never gave up. Every time i got knocked down I climbed my way back up the tower to fight that monster. After such a long time of repeated battles, I finally did it. I beat Dialga. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky will always be the greatest spinoff games of all time and they hold a special place in my heart.
Um *playing as level 38 Charmander and Squirtle * I'll just use dig and brick break, Charmander can do whatever. WAIT HOW AM I DIGGING ON THE TOP OF A TOWER AND IN THE SKY AND BETWEEN FRAMES OF A SPLIT SECOND!? *Two reviver seeds later (one for each of us)* He's down! Let's go. On to save the world!
let's face it, in the main series of the pokemon games, there was no way you would've won that. only in mystery dungeon you can win against legendary pokemon as a piplup and riolu.

Ok, I must admit. I never played explorers of time/darkness/Sky and I shamed of it. I played Red rescue team when I was a child and I love it. I had started explorers of Sky, but I didn't continued it
I've stated in another comment (probably buried now) that I did try that, but since it was a Double Battle the game couldn't process only sending out one Pokemon on the opponent's side, so this was the next best thing. I did do a battle from PSMD, though, where it was a Triplle battle.

The colour changes on Dialga are on point and having Dialga on top of Sky Pillar was a really nice touch.
The text edits and added dialogue are so well done too.
