That was harsh. I had an idea for when you land on a burt batch: what if you put all your books back and restarted with a fresh batch? I know I wouldn't eat cookies if I burnt them so you should be allowed to put your books away and start over.
@@sarahheartsbooks1 I think you should. I used to play a game on my channel where I would get like 20+ books every month it was insane. I've been trying to be kinder to my soul. So I don't do that anymore. :)
The trip was AMAZING :) And I'm having an awesome time with the book too! I'm reading a story at a time to break up my other reading and I'm really enjoying it!
Welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😀 Shogun is such an intimidating book to me. I'm currently getting ready to start The Tale of Genji, and after I finish that I might make Shogun my next punishment/bomb book. I've had it for YEARS and I think I need a real push to pick it up finally.
I've enjoyed watching every bakery video - but this one was brutal and it added a layer of sadistic enjoyment haha I hope you have an excellent reading month!
This round! So rough. I am one of those people who have overly ambitious TBRs. For me, it isn't about finishing them all, but just reading what I can, and it pushes me to read a little more than I would otherwise. I just hauled Love and Other Words. I have never read anything by Christina Laure, but seeing this one go on so many TBRs I decide to finally give them a try. Best of luck with your reads.
Yeah, I'm mostly a mood reader, so I do like the idea of a big pile of possibilities. But in terms of "winning" the game... It doesn't bode well 😅 Christina Lauren has been pretty hit or miss for me in terms of story, but I love their writing so I just keep trying. I hope you enjoy Love and Other Words when you get to it 😊
For your Tbr game board which is amazing and cute what did you use for the background the desserts are on is it wallpaper? Was asking cause would want to make one like it but maybe with coffee lol😊
The background is a piece of patterned poster board from the craft store, and the baked goods came from a coloring book and Canva. A coffee game would be so fun!
That's good to know! I know people who really liked the series, but I just hit the middle of Broken Prince and just got a feeling of like, ok what are we doing here? But I do want to continue, so it's good to know that the pay off may still be worth it 😊
I was just about to comment that you needed a new die when you grabbed the green one - thank god! Time to retire the other one, LOL. I think you should do a burnt batch jar with different prompts from the comments! A few ideas, beyond going back to the beginning. 1) burn all your picks and pick a new book for every prompt you’ve already gotten. 2) pick a book from a genre you don’t like (expand your horizons!) 3) read the last book you saw/heard a really bad review for. Could also be a good depository for some of the regular prompts you don’t like as much? Just a thought :)
New viewer here. I have not read any Harry Potter books and have no desire to (I did watch the movies at the request of a friend because she wanted company at the theater for the LAST movie so I had to know something about the story). I will say it's too bad you don't want to read your next highest rated which was Shogun. It's a wonderful book! And The Stand...is my favorite book of all time. (It's too bad you have the mass market paperback; that is SCARY looking because it's so thick. The hardcover is much more reasonable looking.) And Verity? Poor you. That book was such a waste. My summer TBR is a complete re-read of The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I started with The Gunslinger on June 1st and I'm almost finished with book #2, The Drawing of the Three. The books are all physical books so I am also reading a Kindle book so I have something to read in bed at night. That book is Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. I enjoyed your video and am looking forward to checking out some of your other ones. :)
I do plan to read both of those books eventually, but I had prefilmed my rolls, so I already knew how this game was going to go and I didn't want to front load with a massive book. But I did start reading Shogun at one point and I remember enjoying it, but then I put it down and just never got back to it. I will though! Verity is kind of a last chance for CoHo. I've read 2 of her books previously and disliked them, but I already own the ebook of Verity, so we'll see how it goes. I feel like people are really split on it. Enjoy your reread! It sounds like you're a Stephen King fan. Do you have a suggestion for where to start with his work? I bought The Stand because it sounded the most interesting to me, but like you said - my copy is massive and intimidating haha I'm glad you enjoyed the video! :)
@@sarahheartsbooks1 For Stephen King books...if you want intense (but not horror, as such), I would start with Misery...but one of my other favorites is The Green Mile. I recommend that to everyone.
Omg this was brutal 😅 but great to watch :D hope you enjoy the books you get to.
I'm glad you enjoyed it 🤣 And thanks!

Ooh, that's interesting and it goes along well with the narrative of the game 🤔 I might use that next time!

this gama looks so fun, the cupcakes are so cute
I've been having such a good time playing it 😄
the board itself seemed pretty decent with most of the prompts you got, but that die really had it out for you with all those ones!
Right?! Thank goodness for all those coffee breaks 🙏
I loved These Hollow Vows!!
So far I'm enjoying it too 😁
OMG!! I Looove How to Love a Jamaican I hope you do too and enjoy your trip to Jamaica xxx

Just found your videos and I love your game. I will put in a plug for Shogun though. One of my favorites ❤

Thanks, I need it! 😂

@@sarahheartsbooks1 Oh thanks so much for answering. Yeah I'm trying to create it if I do I will mention you.
I put Broken Prince of a soft dnf twice but after I powered through (3rd times the charm) the ending and Twisted Palace make it so worth it.

Too bad the green one did me dirty too 🤣 I love all of these ideas 💖 Thank you so much!
The game was out for blood! Hopefully you can get a good chunk of books read.
Awe Boarders! I miss that store
Yeah it was 🤕 But at least it made the game interesting 😅
Right?! I loved being able to look up my own books without having to talk to anyone 🤣
I reckon your game would be great for everyone to play. I would love to play your game. It really treated you dirty this month. I wish you luck.
Thanks, I'm going to need all the luck I can get 😅 But I'm excited to do a lot of reading in June, so hopefully it'll go well!
This was so much fun 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed my suffering 😜

The books you don't want to read just take them of your TBR
That's kind of naturally happening. I've been picking up what I'm most interested in first 😁
