I have this lens for my R6 too. FYI that wobble you see when IBIS is on, that happens only at 16mm, soon as you get to 24mm or 35mm there is no more weird wobble from IBIS. Cheers mate.
Dan, you have no idea how useful this video is for me, I have that same lens and I was thinking how to get some quality lenses like this for a new Caron R camera, I was thinking about selling my lenses and then buy some new 50 or 16 RF for my new bodies R6 or R8. And then you did this video and BUM, problem solved with just and adapter! Really, you saved me from making a mistake I would be soon very very hungry about! You win a subscriber, Greetings from Argentina.
the music was awesome it took me back to the 80's well i would love to get this lens for my 80d and start taking pictures but i will get me the 5d mark 4 for the full frame and call it a day
Thank you Joseph! Yeah, I love my new setup...that's what I always wanted: one great camera and one lens that I can use to shoot pretty much anything at any resolution. How's everything?
My R6 Mark II will arrive on Tuesday, I'm going to get this lens, which will give me a very wide range. EF 16-35mm f2.8 L USM ii, EF 24-70mm f2.8 L USM ii, EF 70-200 f2.8 L USM ii 😊
Hi Dan, Wow that's a fantastic change in overall pin sharpness" I love those lenses and the 16 to 35 is a fantastic coverage, Those lenses are also excellent for astro work to they are really pin sharp and along with that great R6 how could anything go wrong.... Great video Dan and congrats on both your purchasers' look forward to all your vids... Take Care to you and your family and 73s
Great video, Dan. Thanks for sharing. I also have the R6 and this amazing lens, however, I am having serious issues with the autofocus continuously hunting when I am using it for talking heads video or vlogging - irrespective of distance between lens and myself, and irrespective of lighting settings. It didn't seem like you had those issues in your video. Could you please share your R6 camera settings in movie mode, so I can rule out that it's an error on my side? I am of course using this EF lens with the Canon EF-EOS RF Adapter. Thanks
Sure...that's pretty simple: 24fps, shutter speed 1/50, aperture F/2.8 (with ND filters outdoors if needed) ISO 800 unless shooting in low light conditions, C-Log3, autofocus set to tracking, white balance mostly 4800K. Never had any issue with the autofocus. My opinion: either you got a bad copy of the lens, it happens, or I suggest you get your camera serviced to figure out if there's something wrong.
Hi Dan, Does this version make noise sound when recoding video like some of the older 16-35mm F/4? I've been trying to determine if I needed version II or III of this lens because I want to use a Video mic Pro and not pick up the lens focusing noise.
Hello!! I'm brazilian.
I seldom use different cameras with different color sciences...but when I use color space transform on Resolve it works pretty well...it's just about choosing the best suitable input/output gamma, color space etc....and after that, it just takes some minor adjustments to the exposure and saturation.
@@elgarnamocii3397 yes, F/2.8 lenses are pretty decent in low light...for sure we can always get some useful footage out of them, however we should always make sure we include at least one wider aperture lens in our camera bag...like F/1.4 or F/1.8 at least.
@DanFrullani ok thanks, because I had one few years ago and it was unusable for vlogging because the autofpcus sound was loud on microphone when vlogging. Maybe my lens had a problem then...
I use it for 100% of my vlogs with the Rode Videomicro on top of the camera and never heard any noise....I think you might have got a bad copy or I might have a very good one!
I just purchased my R6 2 weeks ago and my 16-35 mkiii will be here tomorrow! Just upgraded from 6Dmk ii. I can't wait! Thanks for the great video.
I have R6 and love using the ef 16-35 2.8 ii it’s my favorite lens for sure!
i just got mines today

Yeah, I was wondering....Well, I'll make more tests and videos about this topic. Thank you!

I've never noticed any noise using this lens.

How you color correct that clog 3 footage? Davinci resolve does bad job with color space transform.
I seldom use different cameras with different color sciences...but when I use color space transform on Resolve it works pretty well...it's just about choosing the best suitable input/output gamma, color space etc....and after that, it just takes some minor adjustments to the exposure and saturation.
Did you color grade this footage? Did you use C-LoG?
Yes, I always color grade my videos and I used C-Log 3.
Nice footage! Are you using ND filters outdoors?
Yes, I use variable ND filters. Thank you.
@@DanFrullaniHi Dan, what specific model do you use??
It’s in the description.
Is the EF 16-35mm F 2.8 ii very loud in focus?
that's my dream i will safe earn my money to buy canon r6 and canon 16-35mm f2.8 II. thanks for sharing idol
and also is when it comes low light situation is the best using ever and good image because of f2.8

How is the autofocus noise on that 16-35 lens?
It's virtually silent...

How is the autofocus work in canon r6 +16-35 ii?
