Gurl thank you so much for this !! I’ve never really been good at school and i’ve been so scared for my future. I graduate 2022 and I only realized this year I want to major in film studies or communications( to be a screenwriter or something ). This really helped me ease up with my anxiety and has pushed me to hustle!! I’m looking at a summer program at a college for early college credits. My school is very small and is in northern wisconsin :( so there aren’t many opportunities here, except for milwaukee, and that’s like an hour away. Hopefully they accept my application. Anyways, again, thank you so much 👏👏
I am so glad that I could help you, summer classes are a big brain idea! I remember how scared I was too, I can tell you now that I'm in college I look back at all the effort I put into getting into film school and see it was worth it because I'm happy to be where I am. I hope that is the same outcome for you. Since you want to go into screenwriting, my best advice is to just write everything down, funny moments between family and friends, or your emotions, to stories you come up with. It will help you in the future because you're providing yourself a bank of ideas. Thank you for sharing, good luck :)
@@sarahjanec1085 I applied later too you're good and I love it here and literally couldn't recommend it more. We're online but the teachers are so understanding and are wonderful and genuinely want us to succeed and teach us so much. Good luck with everything if you have any questions just lmk
hey! I just got waitlisted for LMU after applying film prod RD (whoops) and was wondering if you had any tips for writing the waitlist letter. I'm procrastinating it rn cause I'm lowkey confused with what to say. thanks for the video (I also got rejected from chapman and you made me feel better lmao)!!
First of all congratulations and thank you, I'm glad I could console you in some way! Second, in the waitlist letter, it's important to convey that if you got accepted you would choose to go to this school even if you're still undecided. Just make them think you're set on LMU. You also want to make sure you're giving them new information about yourself that isn't in your application so stuff you may have done since you sent it in. I definitely thanked them for reviewing my application and talked about why I want to go there, the projects I'm currently working on, and how LMU would help me better myself if I got in using about 350 words. I know a good amount of ppl in film, prod major specifically, who were accepted off the waitlist too so you've got this, good luck!
I kind of wish I hadn’t decided that I was wanted to study film in the mid summer before senior year smh amd online school really lowered my gpa, so ig we’ll see how it goes. Also this is late but congratulations!🎉
Thank you so much! Its great that you can find something you want to focus on when so many people even have trouble finding what they like to do. You've got this!

I did not because they had a completely different film application supplement and I heard they have a better graduate film program than undergrad
