Natalie great video! I’m glad that you did well on your 1st year at UCLA! I’m always proud of you and inspired by you! Also you did a great job talking about UCLA and your approach on navigating UCLA!
10:10 5 years in the future? Yup. 5 years I’m gonna be a senior. You’ve made me SO attached to this school already. I’m know that I’m only 13, but still. Thank you so much for this!
I'm currently applying for college and UCLA and Berkeley is ON my list. For my STATS I put Interact club ( volunteering, community service) JROTC ( I've been in this program since my sophomore year and its about leadership and yes leaderships improved and I was a supreme cadet, and also service learning) I recently join Archery a club in JROTC and I volunteer as a translator over the summer. I was planning to include the unpaid internship that I work for 2 weeks 20hrs in a hotel and I get a certificated training for hospitality. I graduated with honors for AHLEI. I'm also in the Leo club a service learning club and we reach out to the community to. I'm also taking 2 advancement clases. I kinda get a degree in Hospitality.. Hospitality is for hotels not hospitals..
Holy shit, aren't you a smart and busy bumblebee?! Um, I don't know what you want to do within environmental science but my CA law firm has an environmental section and in six years if you stay on this track, we would LOVE somebody like you working for us.
Wow thank you for reaching out! I’m currently looking to study environmental health and pursue med school, but I’d be really interested to know more about your firm :) What is it called?
Hi Natalie I watch ur videos all the time and they r so fun to watch. ucla is my dream school since like forever and I'm currently in 9th grade and I am not in the US either.i rlly hope i get in in like 3 year's i also rlly want to join the dance team but for my dancing I was a late starter so do u have any tips and tricks to making the spirit squad? I also want to start vlogging but I'm scared so do u have any advice. I rlly hope I get to me you one day u seem so sweet and ur SO pretty
omg this is so impressive !! I'm a freshman in high school who's dream school is UCLA. If it's not too forward, I was wondering if you had any advice you would give to a freshman in high school aiming for the UC's. Thank you!
Congratulations on your academics and extracurriculars! You did a great job with your studies and experiences! That is very impressive. Congratulations on publishing your book as well! Good luck with UCLA. My name is Andres by the way. It is pleasure to meet you. God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️
Hi Natalie! I hope you're doing well! I can tell why UCLA accepted you -- you're so passionate and inspiring! As a current highschooler interested in environmental engineering, I was wondering if you could share any insight on how you secured your internship with Sierra Club. Did you reach out directly by cold-emailing the volunteer coordinator? Were there any supplementary materials you had to attach, such as your transcript or details about your previous experiences? I'd really appreciate any advice or tips you can offer!
i cold emailed by local chapter and asked if they needed any help :) they didn’t have any high schoolers that were involved in their organization so there were plenty of opportunities within my local chapter, though I did have to email a few times to get a response. I just expressed my passion for environmentalism and told them about myself, and we set a call to chat about how i could get involved
Hi this was very informational! Just wondering, when you publish your book, don't you need to use your parent's information in order to publish on Amazon KDP? It says that minors are not allowed to publish a book. Thanks.
Maybe i missed it...what were your sat scores? What other schools did you apply to? Any rejections? 20 30 years ago, these would have been ivy/Stanford numbers. Unbelievable.
@@natalieho11 this advice is quite early but consider going to a uc for med school too. Far less debt and if you do well on step 1 and perform well on your rotations, you'll get into whatever residency you want. Lmk if you have questions about derm if interested.

How were you able to publish a book in high school ?
I typed my manuscript on google docs, designed the pages and illustrations through Canva and Procreate, and then published it on Amazon :)
