I just found out that Fortnite is just copying Roblox’s UI with the removal of the Rarities and even the game mode selection screen. They keep removing away the few pieces of Fortnite’s soul. Soon the game won’t be called Fortnite.
I know right, it seems like the only people who they listen to are the top creators like Sypherpk, Nick eh 30, Typical gamer, Clix ect.

Moment of silence to remember the good old ch1 and ch2 days, when fortnite was fortnite. Now, skin rarities gone, locker arrangement scattered, item shop looks crap, overpricing of skins, unnecessary disney collab( very soon we will see frozen with a gun) , not much quests, allowing map creators to exploit everyone, storyline declining.
I agree, not only has Rocket League lost its identity but now Fortnite is losing its identity as well... And it's sad because I love these games... And I made great memories with my friends but now... All I can feel about Fortnite is apathy...

This was gonna happen eventually. When you have a successful game like Fortnite. You’re gonna wanna take advantage of the popularity. But the way Epic handled this opportunity was absolutely the worst way possible.

The soul that was in the game is being removed. Yes the rarities are just colors but we grew to appreciate them and it’s pleasing to the eye. Whenever you buy a epic or legendary skin, you feel good because it’s a higher rarity. Now, without the rarity backgrounds, the skins don’t feel authentic. They just feel like downloadable characters that are easily accessed. No background, sometimes no backbling, and now just purely over priced. Honestly makes every skin feel the same. They are different rarities for a reason. They think the rarity system is outdated, how? It’s some of the skins that are outdated not the system. The system helped separate skins and showed their value.
Brother if your only reason is this on why Fortnite is dying. Then I think you need to go find a new hobby.

Has been for a while, the games art style has been so inconsistent for years, the collaborations have gotten so much more egregious, epic refuses to fix genuine problems with the game, there’s no soul left.
I have to agree a lot with I talk, the shops have been horrible for the past 2 seasons and they have added werid updates, it has spiralled down ever since OG. As someone who started playing chapter 1 season 3 it sucks to see the game change for the worse as they are removing the simplistic look and feel fortnite had and the cartoony vibe, it feels like there just trying to create a metaverse rather then be unique

You've been covering the item shops for 6 years and you've sacrificed a lot because of it!
Take a break man, nobody's gonna get upset if you miss a few item shops. There are other channels that do that exact same thing! SinX6 is a great example.
You also don't need every skin, that's FOMO speaking. Do not let Fortnite define your life, I get that you like the game and your job but there are other and arguably better ways to do so!
Your best content is your commentaries with footage in the background, if anyone gets upset over item shops that's not on you. You've done enough.

@@motafu1to many players, chapter 2 had a more realistic graphics system before Unreal Engine 5 and before UEFN. This made people feel fortnite changed for the worse. The new gun designs didnt hit well especially the ch2 pump design compared to the ch1 pump. Its soulless. I quit fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 7 until Chapter 3 Season 1. I believe ch3 saved fortnite as they made the map feel new but nostalgic too. Now the game is even more soulless compared to ch2 but atleast the guns and seasons are good but removing item shop timer, removing rarities, changing shop, locker and menu ui, changing movement etc is killing the game

@@ZookHaunts Well sure theyre never gonna stop selling original skins. Some of their most popular are ons theyve made like Aura, Crystal, ect. But they dont have infinite ideas so theyre likely to just stop making them alltogether eventually, but I dont think theyd ever stop selling their old ones.

The Support team isn't good aswell, because 2 years ago my Account was locked and i couldn't log in anymore and when i asked the Support and gave them every info that proves the Account is mine, they said i didn't create this Account and it isn't mine, because of that we can't reactivate it 🤦🏻♂️ i was so p**sed of because i spent so much on fortnite, i had 450 skins and so much more.
But i got an Account from someone which isn't as good as mine was, but it still has many skins and the founder STW from before 2020. I really miss 2018 Fortnite
remember back in the day when you could pick between save the world, battle royal and creative now you go in and you get greeted with 10000 maps and game modes
Yeah 😢 but back then epic only featured the best creative maps. I know it's cool that they give everyone a Chance now but i feel like an AI is controlling the featuring System because all the maps are the same boring 1v1, box fights or red vs blue
People are upset, I’m upset, but it was an inevitable that it got corporate, this isn’t a new thing, same thing happened to Roblox and Minecraft.
I definitely think Creative being profitable is a huge reason for all of this. Because of this choice, Fortnite has to pay the creators instead of paying employees (hence why they fired a lot of them), and it hurts because a majority of the people profiting off Creative maps are either people with no imagination and are just making something to get money, or they’re people like Geerzy who are scamming you and gatekeeping creative ideas. They’re fueling Epic’s want for money
And because they have to “pAy ThE cReAtOrS”, they lose money in other areas, and have to jack up prices and go from being imaginative to corporate.
I genuinely believe that creative mode should just be a system for fun, not profit. There are people that just want to make cool stuff. If that one change was made…I think it could change everything. They could pay their employees and hire more imaginative people to work on the game and bring Fortnite back to its peak
Maybe they can hire someone to make a good shop layout and give a better design to the UI while they’re at it, someone that actually cares
Tbh, it’s been slipping since Chapter 4 when it started it’s “gotta be realistic” phase. Like who tf asked for this weird ass European architecture over the Cartoony American suburb designs???
In my eyes Chapter 3 was the last Chapter where Fortnite felt like Fortnite. (Not counting OG season, which I’m pretty sure was just a cheep cash grab)
I’m positive Fortnite is going to finally die off within the next 2 years if they don’t do anything. Like someone said, Fortnite is trying to be COD and Roblox so bad.
This. When they dropped Unreal Engine 5 in 2022 they cut Chapter 3 in half and gave us Chapter 4 as a, "Look at how realistic we can make things!" But it made the map look dull and it lost just a bit of that Fortnite feeling. Chapter 5's map is downright drab. If you watch old gameplay of Chapter 3 it's so vibrant and full of life by comparison. They are sucking the soul out of Fortnite from multiple angles and it sucks.
I think Chapter 4 was fine personally. It didn't adopt things from previous chapters, but I personally still really enjoyed the game, and they added fun stuff like the eagle drones, shockwave hammers, katanas, explosive rifles, boomerangs, turrets, etc.
There were callbacks to previous seasons and the villains still felt fortnitey, like Kado Thorne. The gameplay felt fortnite since they brought back the og spy stuff. Chapter 5 is just mid imo tho because they changed core gameplay. Good stuff, but not fortnite stuff

I miss when they actually listened to us in the community and when they added stuff because of us, like when they did item shop voting, summer events, yk.. and now the game is absolutely not the same. I really only want/play festival, that’s it. The game is not as fun as it used to be and it feels daunting when I do. I hope Donald mustard will step in somehow to fix this mess, as I would hate for a creation like this to crumble down the way it is and I’m sure he wouldn’t want that to happen either

The Locker b eing changed in C5 is the shining example of changing something for the sole purpose of changing it. Not to improve, just to literally change it to prove to Epic they should keep their job. It's baffling.
No? 💀 Three other games came out that made them need to revamp the locker in order to support the new cosmetics, especially since some crossed over with others
I gotta be honest, ever since Donald Mustard left things have taken a huge, HUGE nosedive because of it. You can argue the cracks were showing beforehand, but after Chapter 4 or more accurately OG along with the developers responsible for managing locker stuffs got laid off last year, said cracks are much more apparent.
If your competitors COD Warzone and even PUBG have better and easier UIs than yours, you screwed up big time.
do they enjoy disappointing their community? they told us months ago that they were planning on making locker and UI fixes. a few months later and rarities are gone and it looks even worse than ever.. epic games pls get a grip

Competition is the best thing for us gamers, we get better prices performance and fun, and they get their money, but if theres only 3-4 famous games for 3 years then you will get these issues with them being lazy
The most ironic thing about it all, is that if Epic just listened to the community and had their best interests at heart, they would earn way more money than what their strategy is now. By adding ideas and keeping things people love about the game and want, more people will come back to it. It's nice to see change every once and a while but the game we all loved just isn't the same at all anymore. And honestly, it makes me miss the old days even more 😞

Hey ITalk, I agree with you. Fortnite is Failing. Went from starting in chapter 3 season 1 battle pass and fell in love with skin rarity so I bought everything in case it would turn out to be rare months or year later. I have over 500 skins now and over 500 emotes. Chapter 5 when they went for this big change changed everything for me. Rare cosmetics are no longer a thing. They don’t bring out good stuff anymore just same old same ol. I’ve bought less skins and emotes this chapter. Makes me want to buy as less skins as possible. If something comes out that I like I may buy or if it’s super rare but other than that I don’t look at skins and emotes the same.
I’ve been playing Fortnite since Chapter 1, Season 2 and to see it evolve this way is crazy
Summary of pretty much everything that has been leading up to this point: “When you appeal to everyone, you appeal to no one.”
Regardless of the issues of back then, it was always a Battle Royale (and a Survival Crafting Game counting STW.) with a Creative system based off the Battle Ryoale, and all of this Under a TEEN Rating.
Now because you appeal to everyone, you’re bring the game down because you don’t know what mode to focus on.
Ya know, I wanted to give it a year, just to be fair and to give the whole Metaverse thing a chance but man is it starting to get hard.
The devs behind Helldivers 2 legit have it stapled on their website: "a game for everyone is a game for no one"
The worst part for me is that they keep making the guns different and sometimes making them worse for example the sniper it has less of a span rate, since that update I have gotten a sniper once. I think they just need to start asking the community what could make it more fun.
My biggest problem is the prices for festival/lego/racing cosmetics, i feel like thats a sign for the upcoming greed. Mark my words, in 2025 batlle passes wont have enough vbucks to buy the next one anymore.

Fortnite is a shell of what it once was. It’s almost unrecognizable. It looks like another Roblox clone now.
Feels like chapter six of red dead. Gangs falling apart, the game is changing into something people don’t want like the gang changing. Epic games is Dutch losing his mind and eventually the gang, us, will leave.
Fortnite just isn't Fortnite anymore, Epic is trying to make Fortnite an "Everything" game, giving the game no real personalty anymore.
By trying to make fortnite for everyone, they are making the game a bland generic version of multiple other games. People like variety in their games and I don't think anyone wants Everything, every game they play to be fortnite.
Please Epic... stop trying to be Minecraft, stop trying to be Roblox, stop trying to be Guitar hero, stop trying to be a racing game, stop trying to be they mega vers! Stop trying to monopolies the gaming space!

I would argue outside of the item shop and UI and price changes, I think the gameplay is the best it's ever been. I mean this season alone and even last season was really fun and I think it's important to highlight the parts that Epic is doing right in my opinion. As you say however, lots of change for the sake of change and removing things for the sake of change instead of improving them is really baffling to long time fans of this game.
The thing i dont understand is they remove all og rarities exept for frozen/molten/slurp or shadow or all the collab rarities, like rarity was used to rapresent a skin and its price, before it made sense like a green skin was a skin without anything particolar or styles, a blue one was one with styles or a backbling and so on. Now they can just sell the most generic skin without any style or backbling for 2k vb wich is pretty absurd if you ask me
I think more people should be concerned when epic called battle royale mode “outdated” in there response message.

I agree that your previous vid on the topic was a little overkill or what have you, but at the same time frustration on some of these changes is completely justified. Also i just wanna let you know ive seen posts on RUclipsrs vids like happy power, confirming that epic posted/replied to him (or in general) that the removal of rarity on cosmetics wont effect the pricing of them. At the same time though, how will we know? Would a backbling be the only way to justify if a skin is priced correctly?

I really only got into Fortnite back in the day bc of carton style now it’s just looks like any normal br game just with building
I'm really worried about next chapter. Fortnite Maps being made in UEFN doesn't sound good. Battle Royale currently feels more premium than creative, but when Battle Royale will be made with Creative Tools, I worry the quality will deteriorate over time and hurt Fortnite even more. and that's on top of whatever changes they could potentially make in the next few months that we don't know yet.
We should protest by playing STW and only STW, it has the og graphics, og guns, rare skins in the shop(even battle pass skins), no sweaty kids, free v-bucks and more

STW is so much fun because you have a quest and it's to save the world. Not like Lego Fortnite or any other new modes, where you just play for a little while and then get bored because you have nothing else to do because everything just repeats itself. Lego Fortnite hasn't even an endboss like Minecraft with the ender dragon or STW with the storm king

All you do is land, get loot, maybe win or lose and then repeat until you get smacked by the lifeless pimple infested creatures that play BR 24/7. With STW you actually have some kind of variety, along with the graphics that he mentioned (plus free vbucks😏).

I've been watching the item shop video's every day since you started, minus a few seasons I didn't play. It's been part of my routine. I like seeing your reaction to new skins, or your reaction to stuff that's going on. But now I feel like it's coming to an end. With the shops being so bad, and soon the shop timer leaving. I really feel like it's ending. How are you going to cover the shop if stuff changes multiple times a day, in different timezones...

as a fortnite player whos been playing since c1 s2 and been watching you for 4 years,the game just isnt fun anymore. the item shops are no where near as good as they used to be and the competive system is terrible, the game is just so dull.
It’s so weird to me that the thing that feels the most Fortnite in the game now is the collaborations. They add great skins with cool creative items. I’m really scared for the state of Fortnite now because I’ve been a fan since the beginning pretty much and have played on and off forever now.

I've been playing Fortnite since January of 2018. The game was bound to evolve at some point, but the way it's evolving now is truly upsetting to me. It's not even the fact that they removed skin rarity; it has everything to do with the fact that this drastic change isn't the first change Fortnite has done to "modify" the core components of their game. Epic Games is not listening to the community feedback at all, and I hope there is a turn around. The moral of the story is if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The rarity is a left over thing from stw to determine the power of a hero. In BR it was to determine the class of skins in a way. I hope they bring it back.
It’s incredibly upsetting how much the higher ups at epic mess up because it undermines the devs working on the game. All the new content, avatar collab, the season, LEGO, festival, rocket racing. It’s all very cool and well done but their work is being undermined by what epic is doing with the locker system. Very upsetting.

The movement and the "trying to make it fair for bad players" is just bullshit, if someone put more time in to actually grind the game should automatically be normal that the better player win, and why take 200s from gold pumps especially in creative that's just "great"👎🏻. These are the 3 major problems.
if they removed rarities to increase prices(like 1200 v-bucks for a skin with no back bling), then I'll only consider buying skins that are at least an 8-9 out of 10 for me instead of also buying some 7 out of 10 skins. I was thinking about getting Apollo since he's part of the gods from this season, but that's it. it's an ok skin, but if he was released later on with a different name and no connection to the gods, it'd be an easier skip. considering the v-bucks price increase, I don't feel like it's worth it to spend 1200-1500 v-bucks on a skin I kinda like, when I have so many skins I really like that I barely use or didn't use at all.
This is my biggest problem with the game. It has lost its artistic style completely, and it does not even feel like Fortnite anymote.

Dang, I just got into a long ass conversation with a random I met playing creative. This was one of the topics we discussed. We had a lot of fun talking but the game itself isn't what it was before. Atp the only reason I ever get on anymore is because I have 2 really good friends who still love to play the game. Its not that I hate what has become of the game, it's just the fact that what was once a game that brought me great joy and excitement has continually disappointed me and made unnecessary changes. That and the glitches are out of control lately.

With the release of Chapter 5, Fortnite has killed all enthusiasm I have for the game. I glitched the battle pass last season (just for Peter Griffin), and uninstalled it today to make space on my pc. Tim Sweeny, constantly whining in the most hypocritical factor is so evident to the mindset of Fortnite, as it’s like Epic want to become Disney and start swallowing up every company into a single location, under the fasade of being “For the Creator” drives me nuts. Ever since Ch3 S3 the game has been on a downward slope of repetitive issues, capitalistic focus, and empty creativity. Fortnite is dead, because whatever the game is now, is not Fortnite

As a fortnite player since season 4 2018 I still like playing the game but now I only really enjoy playing with my friends because playing by yourself just feels souless and boring compared to the magic of solos back in 2018, the game won’t ever be what it once was we can only rely on Og and fan projects to bring us back
Like I said man, I’ve been saying this for years. Ever since Chapter 2. When they started putting collaborations in the battle passes and did an entire season themed around Marvel, that’s when I knew the game losing its soul. Everything for the past few years has been leading to what the game is now.
I think the fact that they removed rarities is stupid. Like for example, i used to look at leaks to see if one interested me. Now that rarities are gone i guess ill have to guess the price itll have in the item shop.
I truly don’t understand why they won’t just change the art style back to what it was before, they continue to change it over and over for each chapter, and every single time they get the same response of JUST GIVE US BACK THE OLD ART STYLE!!!
Imagine you go to your favorite charming diner, you sit down ready to eat your favorite dish, but when you open the menu it’s all been changed. You call over the waiter to ask what happened to the old menu? And they say “oh this new one is so much better than the old one, just give it ah try”.
So you look over the menu, you order, and when it comes to your table you take a bite, you think that this new dish tastes great! But the more bites you take it only makes you remember how much more you enjoyed your favorite dish. You tell this to the owner and he says “we’ve gotten a lot of complaints lately and we’ll take your feedback and make it better!”.
So you leave the restaurant unsatisfied, but you have hope that they’ll change the menu back to the old one.
When you come back to the diner a week later and you sit down at your table and realize they changed the decor and had renovated the whole building, the once charming rustic diner is now modern gray and sleek. You talk to the owner and they tell you “oh this is so much better than the old interior just give it a chance, it’ll grow on yah”.
As you sit back at your table you think, that maybe they have at least changed the menu back to the old one. But to your disappointment you open the menu and find that it had been changed again! You look it over thoroughly and realize that they only have vegan options now!
Quite frustrated you go to the owner and say that this menu is worse than before! But the owner looks at you with his plastic smile and says “oh we’re just trying something new, just order something, just give it a chance”. You being a patient person, you say that you’ll try it, but that you would like the old menu back. “I’ll take that into consideration” says the owner, still smiling that plastic smile.
So you go to your table, you sit down on the sleek steel stool, which makes you think back to the old leather stool, while it was tattered and worn it was comfortable. You take out the menu and find something to order, but when it comes to your table you are wowed by its presentation, eagerly you take a bite, but find that the flavor doesn’t excite as much as it’s looks.
You finish your meal, and again you leave the diner unsatisfied. Yet as you think back to the owners words you hope that next time you might be able to taste your favorite dish once again. it’s savory flavor, it’s satisfying texture, and it’s delightful smell flow through your mind making you think back to the good times which only ups your spirits as you head home.
The very next week you drive up to the diner but realize you and a few others are the only ones there, the once bustling diner now more quiet than a cemetery. You thank the waiter for the menu, and with hope you quickly open it. But to your sorrow you see that they had changed the menu once again, not to the old menu but to something brand new.
You fold the menu, stand up from your seat, exit the diner, start your car, and drive off. Finally realizing that your words will never be heard by those who don’t listen.
A month later on your way to a friends house, you look out your drivers side window to see a empty lot where the diner once stood, the once charming rustic diner, your favorite diner, now gone forever.
The light turns green, you press the pedal, and leave behind the once beloved place you would visit every week.
“If only they had listened” you say to yourself as you look back at the lot through your rearview mirror, and as you look back you can’t help but shed a tear thinking back on the beloved diner, a place that now only exists in your memories.

if they want people to return to fortnite og again this year what are they gonna do when they notice the locker, movement, rarities are all different and changed for no reason nobody will play and it isn’t gonna hig
I was also talking about the rarity of the skins like Epic rare and legendary skins and cosmetics and sense they remove the rarity of the skins it also increasing the stuff in the item shop and also it's not good for the game or anything at this point.
Personally this update is a big deal with me especially with the emotes, sure you can set it as emotes but that doesn’t stay for one match
I didn’t even notice or know they’re doing these changes to compete with Roblox

I don’t think I can agree fully with this video. Especially when talking about the gameplay. The reason why I play is for the evolving gameplay. The only Negative things I feel about Fortnite is cosmetic pricing, the shop ui, the locker ui, and seeing a bunch of random maps when all I care about is the mains game in the main menu.
As someone who been plying this game since season 1 and has over 1000 skins I’m not bothered on what they doing lately I don’t get why ppl r bothered by this it’s mind blowing

For me the identity slipped years ago. The collabs are so forced now and never exciting to me due to how fast they churn them out, often you can't even get a day to be excited for a new collab skin before another one comes out...
I feel like all collabs need to bring weapons, or POIs to make them feel big! Otherwise they kinda become forgotten imo. Imagine if Alien and Ripley came with a flame thrower or a mech suit etc?.
Helldivers 2 launched with permanent battle passes that can be completed at any time. No rush. Paid currency can be farmed by playing missions you don’t have to spend a dime. But you can if you want faster progression.
It’s crazy how we went from such a high with og season to such a low with chapter 5
What i want to know is, what happens to the epic games we knew who gave things for free and spent so much money on events and everything to make a battle royale game better. It feels like they are a different company entirely now and is so depressing 😞

If you still want that old fortnite feel I recommend Save the World since it will probably never change and it's literally the OG Fortnite. Father of Battle Royale.
I a million % agree. And unfortunately this equation seems to work out in any situation when the Almighty dollar takes precedent over what made the game so I incredibly fun. I noticed about 1 yr ago the tide minutely turning, while gaining powerful speed at the same time. Everything sucks right now. The ole, " If it's not broke why fix it" saying. The variety of cosmetics is lame AF. I haven't spent a dime on V bucks for over 6 months and I will not. I understand inflation and whatnot. But make the shop inticicing, not that same ole crap. I'm truly sad. And Epic has lit the fuse to their own implosion. I'm starting to see a mass Exodus to other games because Fortnite seems to think they have it down. Nope. I'm a huge Fan of Epic and I will remain loyal, but until things stop smelling like high tide at the Pier. I will not purchase anything in the Item shop. Italk, I've been a long time subscriber. Phenomenal work you do. I thoroughly enjoy it. Thank you
I’ve been playing since 2018, I always played alone, in the beginning of Chapter 4 I find a group of new players, been playing with them since then and it’s been so fun, I’ve never had the fun I have now in this game. But yeah that’s my case, I’m enjoying fortnite more than I’ve ever did
