Aishwarya Rai won Miss World in 1994...Two decades later, she was given a special honour by the pageant's organisers; she was given the title of the 'most successful Miss World'
In the video of 'agar tum saath ho', that whole scene where they're putting their heads down on the table and she tries to consoles him and then he abruptly leaves, is ALL IMPROVISATION. Those actors improvised because they were so full of emotions in that scene (they dated in real life and broke up in real life) and the director, Imtiaz Ali didn't cut the scene and kept the camera rolling and let them do their thing. What a marvelous piece of work this is!
@@Waleska-Herrera IKR! Also, the director knew Deepika (the actress who got cheated on by the actor) would literally just lose it and break down and would be on the edge of her emotions that he very cleverly cut really good scenes throughout the music video so that she doesn't have a mental breakdown. Ashiqui 2 is a movie which just changed arijits life.. He sang almost 6 songs in the movie.. It is one of the best movie in terms of music album.. Movie was also so good
Nadaan parinde from rockstar was actually sung by ar rahman and mohit chauhan(when the character starts lipsyncing) he's not only a great composer but a great singer tooo
Tamasha was a depressing movie, I feel like a lot of us South Asians could relate to that movie in a way Rockstar was depressing too but in a different way 3 idiots was heartwarming and so relatable for most of us Asians Tare Zameen Par was just heartbreakingly beautiful - a good way to introduce the audience to dyslexia and learning disabilities and mental illness. . This podcast just makes me want to watch Rockstar again
I think while all were relatable tamaasha nd 3 idiots as well, but it’s easy to accept 3 idiots as reality as it has hope, Tamasha is so broken, we don’t accept it. I guess that’s good.
Listen, I got only one thing to say, Rockstar was a masterpiece. People who didn't like it, were People who failed to understand the beauty of the film.🥺 PS: I agree with every single human here saying, Nargis was unbearable. She was, I swear, man! But I try to ignore her and focus on the story. Yes, some people found it flawed, but the way it was told was a spectacle to be marveled upon.
Yeah , Rockstar and Tamsha also , people cant grasp tht level of emotion ,expression and Ranbir's Acting , Rockstar is a masterpiece and i can relate coz i started my guitar and singing like tht , this movie changed my perspective towards life
Rockstar deserves every praise. Whoever told you that movie is not that good is not very kind.. Because Rockstar has such a big following and the movie is absolutely masterpiece. Every song deserve a good analysis guys. Also that last song was not good for me 😂 I like the other song called Main rahoon ya na rahoon better.
The first music video was a short version .. The thing you called playgrounds are actually courtyards which are a normal thing in Indian palaces.... even older homes in India still have courtyards in the middle of the house. The movie is called Jodha Akbar . Akbar was a ruler in India .
Your reviews are a treat to watch. Rather than just giving a superficial review, you guys put actual effort to understand the lyrics and analyse the art behind it and I am all here for it. Kudos to you guys! Keep it Up!
Efra here ✌🏼. You know, this comment has made my day. Knowing that you've given us the huge honor of introducing you to new music and discover different industries together... It means the world to me, truly.
Brilliant podcast. I love the way you'll try to dissect music and make it so much fun. For the next time, I would like to suggest a sub-genre in Bollywood music called as Sufi. These are devotional songs inspired by medieval Islamic poets and are still highly listened to and loved by the audience in India, Pakistan and the sub-continent. 1. Kun Faya Kun from Rockstar 2. Khwaja Mere Khwaja from Jodhaa Akbar 3. Arziyan from Delhi 6 4. O Re Piya from Aaja Nachle
Every song of Rockstar needs to be reacted to I swear because you both are gonna love the compositions. Every song is incredible. Like Hawa Hawa , damn that song . Or Aur Ho or Phir Se Udd Chala , god such good songs the movie has
Alka yagnik is also a very legendary singer. She is from the era just before Shreya Ghosal and she still sings in movies such as 'Tamasha' movie. The song 'Agar tum saath ho' with Arijit. You should check her out too 😀👍 Also, please watch movie 'Tamasha' it's A very brilliant movie along with songs. Your idea about that scene and movie as a whole was quite close. Specially about the guy. Please try to watch it next after 3 idiots. If possible
Bollywood is an old industry. You guys should do an feature friday for old bollywood. Singers like Lata Mangeshkar , Mohammad Rafi , Asha Bhosle and ofc iconic actresses and actors. You will love it!
You guys should watch aashiqui 2. The music is fantastic. It's a 2013 remake of a star is born. I hope you could also explore other film industry music in India like tollywood in another podcast.
1:10:27 That's a "musical romantic" blockbuster movie...Ashiqui 2.....I ll recommend you to watch the movie as you people are music lovers.. am sure you ll love the movie .
Yes guys - Music and songs here 90% of the time is created based on the on screen scene, the actors actresses. OST compositions and creation often involves movie-music directors, lyricist, playback singers, actors, producers and script writers.
i NEED you guys to react to arijit singh's "milne hai mujhse aayi" from aashiqui 2. its definitely one of my favorite songs by him. the genre of the song is rock. and the songs displays arijit's range as a singer SO well. the vocals are insane, and the pain in his voice... oh my. its beautiful. you need to react to that, cause theres a LOT you haven't seen from arijit. he isnt the best for nothing!
I love love LOVE the way u felt about the song in Tamasha without even watching the movie!! I way u guys expressed it was amazing. Seriously that movie was a masterpiece which few people appreciated, so happy u guys got to react on it❤
I'm not good in English , but still I'm saying this to my fellow Indians today that the songs you guys have suggested them all are musically and lyrically outstanding, because we all have seen these movies and we know the story behind these and we know the language that's why we are enjoy it but think about from their ( foreigner ) perspective ,they haven't' watched the movie, they don't know the language so how will they enjoy these songs and give you the reaction you want. You are only thinking from your perspective that "ohk many Indians like these songs so they will also like these". It's not same what you think most of the time. I usually noticed that they like the songs which have good melodies, great visual, good dancing specially (Bollywood, classical and folk dancing) and as a first timer watching obviously they will only notice these things. Watch their reaction on Ghar more pardesiya, Dola re Dola , Señorita, Deewani - Mastani and compare those reaction with this podcast reaction. Then you will notice the difference. And also the views of those reaction are quite higher than others. They like too see some unique and different music videos. Maybe most of you will not agree with me but this is what I have noticed. Honestly those who suggested you guys these songs, they don't know about others taste.
I thought you would be watching- Bam bam bole - shivay Humdard- ek Villain Still...your reactions were so on point for each and every song that it was totally worth it! Never would I have thought I would be spending 2 hours on a Friday night watching a RUclips video...cheers guys!
Ashiqui 2 is one of the best when it comes to music.. U need to watch this movie definitely and also check every song from this movie u will not regret it at all..
Tamasha is an absolute masterpiece!! You NEED TO watch it… but may be a bit later… like after 3-4 films in…. It is an acting, directing and musical MASTER-FREAKIN-PIECE!! I promise you!!
Jodhaa Akbar (the film from which the first clip was taken) is another great film for you guys to watch. It’s a masterpiece of a period film, the plot is gripping and the acting is fantastic. You should add it to your list. Also ‘In Lamhon ke Daaman’, a song from this film that is fully available on youtube is also very beautiful. It will give you a taste of traditional Indian period romance.
Aashiqui 1 also has a legendary score. It's just that the movie was released in the 90s ig so it's not as recommended. Aashiqui 2 is actually India's remake of 'A Star is Born'. You should check it out!
Out of all these movies "Tamasha"is my favourite . Every time I watch it i find something new there..❤️ Love the way you analyse and appreciate art . 🤗
It would be awesome to see Waleska and Efra react to older Bollywood music. Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosale and Kishore Kumar era. Also the 90s with Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krushnamurthy, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and so many more!
that's what You expect from the song AGAR TUM SAATH HO... it always gives you chills every time you here it... anyone can turn tear by hearing it.. absolute beauty by AR Rehman and Alka Yagnik...
1:14:35 The actors are Deepika padukone and Ranbir Kapoor , that was a hard scene specially for her because they were really in a relationship before that movie and he cheated on her twice or thrice and after that she suffered from depression for a long time so that was really tough for her and she is the same actress who was in Deewani Mastani , She is the highest paid actress of India
It's 3 am now and I watched the whole almost 2 hrs broadcast and I didn't get bored this whole time... What you need more... 👍🏻 Lots of love... 💕 Edit :- I really really loved the movie 'Tamasha'. A big recommendation... Though the movie didn't did that good the time it released (even now I have this question why??) but people now understand it well and appreciate it... (As for age 25...)
Did you know that Ranbir Kapoor’s crying and walking away and Deepika following him in the song ‘ Agar Tum Saath Ho ’ was apparently not written? They just went with the flow while giving the shot. Also fun fact: they are ex's and he had cheated on her and he admitted it in public and regretted it which was brave of him. So maybe this scene is a genuine thing they felt at the time?
That shot underwater from Ek Villain, it's real, It's in Mauritius, I have dived into this water, you can swim with dolphins in this place! It's like heaven
I have been waiting for a podcast like this since the South Indian Music one. This was incredible, the songs that were suggested were really good. And the way you guys went through everything and explained and dissected things, amazing! Looking forward to future videos. I have gotten to experience so many new artists because of you guys. Truly loving the videos.
1:03:45 This movie is too good in romantic musical category. and One song from this movie called 'Tum Hi Ho' was a milestone in Arijit's career. He became sensation in the country after this album
Please react to AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL movie songs , it has some really good and modern bollywood music 1. Channa mereya(best one) 2. Ae dil hai mushkil title track 3. Bulleya 4. The breakup song (this one is fun) 5. Cutiepie I hope you consider my requests

The lines “kaga sab tab khaiyo/ crow eat my meat selectively” is actually lines from poetry by Sufi saint Baba sheikh Fareed from Punjab. It’s actually for God. In Sufism/ Bhakti movements that followed in India from around roughly 15th century onwards.. there are poetries written by Saints (Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs) about “virah” (pain of separation from beloved, God or Murshid/ Guru) which the actual longing of the soul to be in communion with God. The song actually has a more spiritual / deeper meaning. In teaching of saints, are all a part of the infinite supreme being and our original home is of our beloved. You will not find happiness in material wealth or even relations with people because they come and go. (O Naive Bird, come home - I think it’s for both characters - the girl in the movie is dying, and Ranbir is in pain and its him against the world - a world where he can find no peace )Bliss is in devotion, the sweetest pain of virah, and in communion with supreme being. Poetries of saints like Meera Bai (she was 16th century Rajput princess, who left everything and became a saint , her story is legendary in India), Bulleh Shah, Rai Das ji, Kabir Sahib etc have also common themes of Virah, devotion, yearning for God, higher spiritual realms (even though religions they follow are different - mostly Hindu or Muslims). Many Indian movie song lyrics reference to these and higher spiritual meanings which people don’t understand.. like Bulleya, Chaiyya Chaiyya , Jugni (cocktail). It’s something fairly unique in the Indian subcontinent. I have seen Christian bands in the west, but the language and meaning is nothing like it. If only you knew hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. It’s SOO beautifully written. No translation can really do justice.

Tamasha was a depressing movie, I feel like a lot of us South Asians could relate to that movie in a way
Rockstar was depressing too but in a different way
3 idiots was heartwarming and so relatable for most of us Asians
Tare Zameen Par was just heartbreakingly beautiful - a good way to introduce the audience to dyslexia and learning disabilities and mental illness.
.
This podcast just makes me want to watch Rockstar again
Tamasha is a masterpiece....
@@jitendhere totally agree
Tamasha is a masterpiece. It literally show the duality of dreams vrs reality.
I think while all were relatable tamaasha nd 3 idiots as well, but it’s easy to accept 3 idiots as reality as it has hope, Tamasha is so broken, we don’t accept it. I guess that’s good.
tarein zameen par was much more than what you have mentioned
you should really check out the songs from the movie 'Barfi'
edit: also songs from 'ae dil hain mushkil'
YES WHAT AN ALBUM
Listen, I got only one thing to say, Rockstar was a masterpiece. People who didn't like it, were People who failed to understand the beauty of the film.🥺
PS: I agree with every single human here saying, Nargis was unbearable. She was, I swear, man! But I try to ignore her and focus on the story. Yes, some people found it flawed, but the way it was told was a spectacle to be marveled upon.
Yes.. Yes.. 🙌🏽❤️
👍 exactly
Yeah , Rockstar and Tamsha also , people cant grasp tht level of emotion ,expression and Ranbir's Acting , Rockstar is a masterpiece and i can relate coz i started my guitar and singing like tht , this movie changed my perspective towards life
The best part about the movie was -the music- Nargis Fakhri's incredible acting.
@@AyAy008 🤣🤣yeah that was spectacular
the nadaaan parinday last tune is sooo heartbreaking... just freaking beautiful
@#ello sorry I forgot i was replying someone 😅 instead i wanted to comment in the comment section. 😅 😂
Keep it Up!
Oh I loved AASHIQUE 2 the acting was so good & I felt the emotions they conveyed ....
Don't listen to some of the overtly snobby people. Rockstar and Ek Villain are brilliant movies and Ashiqui 2 is also pretty good.
All three movies have incredible acting by the female leads. They couldn't get a single Oscar because of their skin color.
they made Aashiqui 2 in english and that movie got oscar nominations , it doesn't even makes sense
I always love watching these podcasts, you guys have introduced me to so much amazing new music that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own
Efra here ✌🏼. You know, this comment has made my day. Knowing that you've given us the huge honor of introducing you to new music and discover different industries together... It means the world to me, truly.
😇😇😇😇
Brilliant podcast. I love the way you'll try to dissect music and make it so much fun.
For the next time, I would like to suggest a sub-genre in Bollywood music called as Sufi. These are devotional songs inspired by medieval Islamic poets and are still highly listened to and loved by the audience in India, Pakistan and the sub-continent.
1. Kun Faya Kun from Rockstar
2. Khwaja Mere Khwaja from Jodhaa Akbar
3. Arziyan from Delhi 6
4. O Re Piya from Aaja Nachle
Bhor bhaye tori baat takat piya from Delhi 6
Every song of Rockstar needs to be reacted to I swear because you both are gonna love the compositions. Every song is incredible. Like Hawa Hawa , damn that song . Or Aur Ho or Phir Se Udd Chala , god such good songs the movie has
You should have checked 'Kun faya Kun' from Rockstar along with naadan parindey. It's a Masterpiece from ARR
OH YES
Yes
Alka yagnik is also a very legendary singer. She is from the era just before Shreya Ghosal and she still sings in movies such as 'Tamasha' movie. The song 'Agar tum saath ho' with Arijit. You should check her out too 😀👍
Also, please watch movie 'Tamasha' it's A very brilliant movie along with songs.
Also Channa Mereya official song should be added to the list!!!
Jodhaa Akbar ' s soundtrack is probably my N1 movie soundtrack of AR Rahman and Bollywood of all time ;) All the songs are worth reacting ;)
Aashiqui2 movie is remade of A Star is Born 1937 and the whole discography of the movie is remarkable.
A star is born is came after aashiqui2
Somebody said that star is born is way back in 1937.
@@seventeencarat6284 Aashiqui 2, A star is born 2018 are all adapted from the original "1937 film A Star is Born".
@@SwapnilRupanwar Thank you 👍
Shraddha Kapoor acted better than Gaga. Someone should throw her an Oscar, on her face.
aishwarya rai is the women you're talking about, Efra is right. It's her from the previous reactions
Yea from their reaction to devdas songs. He confused it with bajrani mastani

Battammeez
You guys are doing some really good interpretations, like really Wale nailed it with the Rockstar movie plotline!!
Out of all the movies you should definitely watch "Ek Villain".. after watching that one I really felt that after a long time I saw a nice film
Soo does it mean there will be a 3 idiots reaction? I'm soooo excitedd!!
We'll be dropping our review on Sunday on Feature Friday Plus 12pm UK Time. So happy to hear you're excited.

Yes guys - Music and songs here 90% of the time is created based on the on screen scene, the actors actresses.
OST compositions and creation often involves movie-music directors, lyricist, playback singers, actors, producers and script writers.
i NEED you guys to react to arijit singh's "milne hai mujhse aayi" from aashiqui 2. its definitely one of my favorite songs by him. the genre of the song is rock. and the songs displays arijit's range as a singer SO well. the vocals are insane, and the pain in his voice... oh my. its beautiful. you need to react to that, cause theres a LOT you haven't seen from arijit. he isnt the best for nothing!
spilledt..man served right in the beginning
SHIVAAY ...a light hearted rom-com ... o you sweet innocent summer children ...
😅😅😅😅😅
I love love LOVE the way u felt about the song in Tamasha without even watching the movie!! I way u guys expressed it was amazing. Seriously that movie was a masterpiece which few people appreciated, so happy u guys got to react on it❤
aashiqui 2 has the best music and yeah movie was really good... songs are really really world-class n still my fav
Honestly it could have been better
Damn man. I was waiting for this comment. You are so right and I am actually quite disappointed with the choices.
@@s.s.8673 They didnt even react to a single pop song how can a bollywood playlist be complete without a single bollywood party song
I agree with you
I can’t stop myself from admiring the fact that Waleska understands Indian scenes sooo well, she much more smart than she seems to portrays …
I thought you would be watching-
Bam bam bole - shivay
Humdard- ek Villain
Still...your reactions were so on point for each and every song that it was totally worth it! Never would I have thought I would be spending 2 hours on a Friday night watching a RUclips video...cheers guys!
Humdard 💜
Banjaara from ek villain is much better
Alka Yagnik why they are missing such a legend😭 25000 songs in her bucket
Ashiqui 2 is one of the best when it comes to music.. U need to watch this movie definitely and also check every song from this movie u will not regret it at all..
You should react to the full song of "yun hi chala chal rahi" Great composition, singing and lyrics. The perfect travel song!
You should watch "My name is Khan"
That movie is long i don't think they can pull it off
They would love Azeem-O-Shaan song for the grandeur and the beats
Aashiqui 1 also has a legendary score. It's just that the movie was released in the 90s ig so it's not as recommended. Aashiqui 2 is actually India's remake of 'A Star is Born'.
You should check it out!
At 24:10 ..This is the holi festival ... Festival of colour ....We play with colours ...You can see the song balam pichkari for holi festival aong
Out of all these movies "Tamasha"is my favourite . Every time I watch it i find something new there..❤️ Love the way you analyse and appreciate art . 🤗
You guys should react to the video where the director breaks down the scene in the song agar tum saath ho. He explains it really well.
You guys should definitely watch "Tamasha". You'd love it. All the songs in that movie are really good.
that's what You expect from the song AGAR TUM SAATH HO... it always gives you chills every time you here it... anyone can turn tear by hearing it..
absolute beauty by AR Rehman and Alka Yagnik...
Fun Fact- Aashiqui 2 is a inspired from of A Star is Born
1:14:35 The actors are Deepika padukone and Ranbir Kapoor , that was a hard scene specially for her because they were really in a relationship before that movie and he cheated on her twice or thrice and after that she suffered from depression for a long time so that was really tough for her and she is the same actress who was in Deewani Mastani , She is the highest paid actress of India
It's 3 am now and I watched the whole almost 2 hrs broadcast and I didn't get bored this whole time... What you need more... 👍🏻
Lots of love... 💕
Edit :- I really really loved the movie 'Tamasha'. A big recommendation...
Though the movie didn't did that good the time it released (even now I have this question why??) but people now understand it well and appreciate it...
(As for age 25...)
Jodha Akbar is an amazing movie.. You should see more from that.. It got amazing .. EPIC music..!!
WALESKA AND EFRA YOU GUYS ARE BRILLIANT WITH YOUR REACTIONS YOUR SINGING IS AWESOME TOO
Mithoon is the one of the best music composer and vocalist in our Bollywood industry. ❤️❣️
Did you know that Ranbir Kapoor’s crying and walking away and Deepika following him in the song ‘
Agar Tum Saath Ho
’ was apparently not written?

Great to see you understand indian songs with english lyrics as well... Indian songs lyrics are best

In the first song , the place is the Red Fort
Love this!!! We need more 1 hour sessions! I would watch a 7 hour podcast too 😂
