ASMR for people with ADHD brain

- I promised Valentina, a subscriber, to make an ASMR video for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder based on my 0.1% video. Valentina told me that short length triggers are perfect for "her ADHD brain" so I thought I would try to make a new video with even more different sounds, all done shortly. Sometimes it's 10 seconds, sometimes 30 seconds. Sorry, 30 seconds might be a bit long for you!
This video contains whispering and triggers like tapping, mouth sounds, water sounds, mic scratching and more.

@@mayrakalepdjian4172 the fact that you care means a lot. Here’s some stuff I can think of.

But seriously the fact you care is awesome.

I didn’t realise how many people have ADHD after reading these comments, I’ve always felt afraid because I’m different to other people at school. This made me feel well relaxed and sleepy. So thankyou very much!🥰
I don’t know if this is just me but I never really felt like having ADHD like I do was such a big deal that people are afraid to tell others about. It’s relatively common, and I guess I’ve never really thought of myself as being that different from other people but apparently some of the things I do are not something others without ADHD do.
ADHD is much more common than ppl think it’s prob one of the most common mental disabilities (or disorders) whichever you like to call it better
It’s because there are different neurotypes and that’s why autism/ ADHD is considered neurodivergent and the others are neurotypical.
This may not be a good comparison since I’m comparing brains but it’s like green/ blue or brown eyes. There’s different types, it’s the same with ADHD, Autism and just a neurotypical brain. And that’s why a lot of these are so common.
Istg almost everyone have adhd including me. It just depends on how much they have
@@donotreadmyprofile9373 I don’t know what you meant by almost, but if you mean everyone is a “ bit ADHD” that’s not true, it’s just a common issue. And it’s a spectrum. It’s just lower dopamine and not to mention it wasn’t diagnosed as much before because back then people weren’t as willing to get diagnosed and they were just told they were “ bad kids” and “ stupid” so majority of them self medicated or became dysfunctional adults or adults who have a bit more challenges than others and that’s why it’s a spectrum. But no, not everyone is “ a bit ADHD” or has it. You either have it or you don’t.
I just realized why I'm so obsessed with "fastest asmr" and short asmr, I tend to skip many times in long asmr videos. So this is veeeery satisfactory. ✨

Adhd is actually very fascinating if you’d like to learn about it. Many people don’t realize it, but Adhd is actually very similar to autism. The main telltale symptom of Adhd is difficulty focusing attention, but there are actually quite a few different symptoms that affect all of us differently.
Here are some examples:
1.) A lot of us have difficulty regulating our emotions. We’re often considered sensitive as children until we learn how to hide our ‘sensitivity’, or learn to better regulate our emotions. Not all of us experience this of course, but it’s common enough that it’s been given a name: Rejection sensitive dysphoria, or RSD.
2.) There are actually three main types of Adhd. The first is Adhd hyperactive type, the second type is Adhd inattentive type, and the third type is a combination of inattentive and hyperactive.
3.) Stimulants are usually used to help regulate the symptoms that come with ADHD. I can’t exactly remember how they do that though. Stimulants actually have a calming effect on the Adhd brain. That’s why coffee makes me sleepy in the morning lol.
4.) While Adhd occurs in both genders at the same frequency, people who are assigned male at birth are much more likely to be diagnosed. This is because people who are assigned male at birth, and people who are assigned female at birth display their symptoms differently. The test for Adhd was designed with people who were assigned male at birth in mind.
5.) While it can be difficult for us to focus, sometimes the opposite can happen, and we focus on something too much. We usually call this hyperfixing. We can hyperfix on a task sometimes to the point we forget to eat or drink. We can also hyperfix on people, tv shows, books, hobbies, games, etc. Depending on what we hyperfix on hyperfixations can last from hours to years. My longest hyperfixation was a comic based on a mobile game. It lasted about 7 years.
If you made it this far thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed learning more about Adhd! :)

so I was diagnosed with adhd in 2009 and I guess I never really cared about it until these weird folks who would praise me for being "different" starting in 2020. and its really annoying when people do that kind of favoriting for those who have disability's. so when I saw this at first I thought " Oh no not more of this senseless praising" Oh boy was I wrong. this was amazing, not over baring or weird, very nice sounding, very charming. this video is really a good video for people like me. and its not some kind of odd adhd awareness video, its just great. I fully recommend. 10/10 amazing video.
31:29 - 32:02 this little dance made me happy. Keep up the great work, Pierre! ❤️✨
I have ADHD, and it's frustrating to try to search for videos I like, short trigger ASMR essentially, and they're all either suppppeer fast, or the triggers last for like 2 seconds, or most commonly both. I just want a nice bit of it, more than a few seconds but less than a few minutes. Thank you!
Exactly!
I highly suggest you look for compilations of intros! It's what I've been using :)

@@spooky_buns sweats in doing that right now
Overstimulated?
Agreed
@@ghxstxctxpus1434 it’s a little hard for me to explain but for me it’s like this overwhelming feeling and it can almost feel like irritating and “spikey” or “staticky” in a sharp sort of way? Lots of neurodivergent people often experience sensory overloads, when there’s too much sensory information competing for your brains attention, and so sometimes certain asmr triggers can be almost overwhelming when I listen to them for long periods of time. Everyone’s different though, but that’s just how it is for me personally!

This is great! I love visual triggers that aren’t over the top and are just part of how the sounds are made 🤓❤️
As someone with diagnosed ADHD from my childhood, and having went through methylphenidate/ritalin-therapy by the age of 7-11 which kind of slowed my body in terms of overall maturing (body hair, height etc.) I greatly approve of this video, it is also very important to note, that just because someone was diagnosed with it, doesn't mean they actually have it, so just because incompetent teachers aren't/weren't "able" to deal with us, some of us will actually have to suffer with things for the rest of our lifes, instead of being understood and treated accordingly when actually needed.... the world is such a f*cked up place to be, and yet only single individuals such as you Pierre, are willingly to do us such a favor, Thank you, in my, and the name of every other person with ADHD.
Wow, thanks a lot! When I was a kid, I had a very close friend that couldn't adapt to school because of something, that I guess was close to ADHD. Just as you said, teachers didn't know how to deal with him... as well as other people around. He was such a kind kid and now he is a kind adult even with everything he went through. Anyway, I'm happy that my work, especially on video like this one, can be of help to a lot of people. Have a peaceful day or night!
But being diagnosed by a professional does mean you have it...that's kinda what a diagnosis is.
@@jonathanchisholm3319 I don't disagree with you, but ADHD is definitely treatable without pumping your children full of downgraded amphetamines, wouldn't you say?
@@jonathanchisholm3319 professionals make mistakes just like everyone. and anyone who’s been thru diagnosis processes knows that doctors make a lot of mistakes and disagree on a lot of things, diagnosing is a lot more subjective than ppl think
@@solfilium2379 Not all drugs designed for mental ilnesses or disorders always work for everyone. That is a big downside of those drugs simply due to how varied our brains are. It's impossible to make a medicine that fits everyone and when trying to affect someone's brain it often can cause side effects.
Still ADHD medicine has proven to overwhelmingly help massive amount of people and children over the years so simply because you had an unfortunate reaction to it doesn't mean all of it is bad.
Secondly, ADHD is far more often diagnosed less than over-diagnosed. While professionals can make mistakes it's far likely they will diagnose you to not have ADHD when you actually do than vice versa, so if a professional diagnosed you with ADHD it's stupid to then go and question him.
Also in a lot of countries it's possible to get a second diagnosis from a seperate psychiatrist.
Yeah, I agree, short length triggers are amazing. Like, if I watch a video with one trigger lasting too long, I get bored for some reason?? Like not even relaxed, just bored. I also find myself enjoying roleplays more than just triggers and pure silence mainly because there's speech going on and I love both to listen and talk (sometimes I respond to asmr while listening, oop-)
Thanks a lot, Pierre, for your work. You're always trying to do what's best for your audience and that's amazing 💞 Lots of love to you from Russia :D
As a creator, I also get bored if I do the same sound for too long even though sometimes, when I really like a sound, it's OK. I also enjoy making roleplay with my somehow weird characters cause it makes me laugh :D

Seriously... are you sure you dont have ADD/ADHD lol, not having any patience can be a symptom lol. There are so many symptoms..
Fun Fact to those with adhd. The reason you keep starting new projects and then just give up when you at the middle point.
The reason that happens is because, someone with adhd has less dopamine receptors in their brain than the average person. That means that if you have adhd and you do a project, and another person without adhd does the same project. The person without adhd will get a greater gratification feeling, than someone with adhd would.
Thats why you end up giving up on cool projects. Because you think that it might not be good enough, or worth it.
But trust me. If you push through, it will be worth it.
Edit: Just to clarify. Dont use this information to diagnose yourself. If you feel you do have adhd, then ask someone who is more educated. I don't want anyone to be confused and think that they have adhd.
I have the adhds and can relate

I’m not diagnosed with adhd or anything of the sort but I have a terrible attention span of one thing or fixate in something for hours and honestly this was refreshing
When you finally find the perfect in between of too slow and way too fast. I'm obsessed with this video! Love how calming your demeanor is. 💜
i don't usually watch male asmrtists bc I'm more comfortable with women but this was super relaxing!
Same I don’t watch women asmr because some are a bit uncomfortable

I would just like say hi, and bring awareness to my adhd folks who haven't had the privilege to get a diagnosis. Whatever your circumstances are, stay safe ofc, and don't be afraid to live your life with the accommodations you know you need. There isn't something that you're doing wrong and you don't need to be fixed. Im sorry, that even our diagnosis name was made to cater towards a Neurotypical society. Its nice to have something made for us, finally :) I could talk all day about how adhd affects every aspect of a persons life and how adhd presents in people differently for EVERYONE. Anyone can have adhd, girls, adults, literally anyone. My tips for managing adhd is, get to know yourself. Know what makes you excited, frustrated, etc and if we are motivated by dopamine, use that. Create reward systems for yourself. Some days, you just cant "fix" it and thats okay. Your job isnt to fix it. Your job isa to take care of yourself and your needs so please please please, allow your adhd to take up space in the room. Set boundaries, eat that food you wanted, make time for your special interests, and surround yourself in an environment that promote and openly permits your adhd. You deserve to feel in alignment with yourself :)
Update: I was professionally diagnosed with adhd and have been taking medication for a few months now! Remember, you know your body. I fought to see a doctor and got the help I new I wanted and needed.
I only read the first sentence my adhd won’t allow me to read the whole thing Bc I will have to concentrate on it and it’ll make my head hurt and stuff
thank you i needed this
thanks, i think i have adhd or add but i'm not diagnosed and it's really hard for me, thanks
Hi Um so I might have adhd but I’m not sure my mom won’t let me get a diagnosis test or whatever it’s called so rip for me 😅
Funny story but the first line was great Didn’t read the rest
Oh my goodness, this is my new favorite asmr video! Thank you so much for making this, much love to you! 🥺 ♥️
Thank you so much u are the first Asmr RUclips to give me tingles
I really appreciate that more asmrtists are doing things like this! It's always been hard relaxing with one video, normally I have to jump around multiple vids and jump ahead in whatever I'm watching because my ADHD brain gets agitated and bored with long triggers 😅
@Blu SplatKid ADHD is a disability that can debilitatingly affect every part of your life from school to your ability to adequately take care of yourself to even your relationships and sex life. It's neither a "neat mindset" nor a "curse", it is simply how my brain is built. Just for future reference, talking about it like this really undermines and invalidates the struggles some people with ADHD experience.
I agree!! I usually would look for timestamps and then skip to a part after listening to a trigger for like 20 seconds. Haha
Same
omg same
Same I usually look up things like 1000 triggers in 10 minutes or something that way they’ll move along faster

i like how calm this is, most adhd asmrs have 2982829392992939383822299292 triggers to make it not boring (but this is different) your asmr is good and relazing and actually gonna help me sleep :D
This video felt like someone was barely touching the back of my neck to where my shoulders hitched up but it was in a good way idk I’ve watched so many videos like this but they do the same sound for like three minutes and I’m just skipping the whole time to get a new sound but this was so good thank you

Can we just talk about how the triggers are the PERFECT length like I’m about to loose focus and then they just get a new trigger i hove this thank you for noticing my kind

i have ADHD and i can't focus on school I'm online but watching this makes me calmer I love it and I used to take a lot of pills to make calm and focused and I hated them but this, is my pill
@## miracle 富江 !! well for me things like caffein doesn't really help me but as soon is I past age of 13 I stoped taking my adhd pills and what help my the most is relaxing sounds
sometimes having adhd is pain
When I was little I hated taking my medication because I hated how it made me feel. I knew they sere supposed to help, but they kinda just felt like something was forcing me to do things I hated. Asmr has helped me a lot as a substitute, but eay less harmful, as im still doing things at my own pace, just much more consistently if i were to listen to music or nothing at all.
This was fr sooo good I didn’t think any of these adhd videos worked but this really worked for me so please make another one
Thanks a lot for doing this i have adhd odd and aggresion problems and this is one of the best video's i have seen in 1.5 years keep going love to you
As a person with adhd myself, this was super satisfying!! Not too fast, not too slow, it was suuper tingly. Thank you :D

I’m new to my adhd diagnosis so it never occurred to me that it was my problem with certain asmr videos. This was life changing lol. Thank you!
My ADHD has been horrible all day and caused me to nearly have a meltdown, youtube knew exactly what I needed when it suggested this video to me
What? That doesn't even remotely make sense. Why would ADHD cause you to have a meltdown? That has nothing to do with ADHD.

I really appreciate you doing this, honestly. Especially a video that’s so long and demands a lot of triggers. I can’t watch 30mins+ ASMR videos usually because I get irritated and bored when the same sound is being used for more than 20secs and have to constantly skip ahead to the next one ;-; Finally a video I can actually fall asleep to

This is simply fantastic, as someone who has sever ADHD it’s incredible how effective this video is.
This was nice because it wasn't too fast, but for my ADD garbage brain (a little different from ADHD), fast or inconsistent sounds put me almost in a sense of panic and ultimately in complete sensory overload. Some ASMR artists are brutally fast and aggressive, I can't even watch them, but you are super nice and gentle. I love your microphones.
I wonder if other ADDers feel like that as well. My favorite videos are slow and consistent. I don't need to concentrate on a sound because I will zone out anyways.
But this is nice. If it helped some people even better
Thank you, Samya! I'm happy this video works for you. I must say that I wasn't tired after taking this while I'm usually a bit tired after taking long videos. I just felt at peace, too, haha.
Actually, even my girlfriend has been using this video for several nights and has asked me to do more videos like this one. A lot of people here have been asking for more videos like this too so I've tried to record a new one. It's always tricky to do a "part 2" to a work but I hope it will be as helpful as this video ^^
Have a peaceful night!
I have ADD aswell and I usually listen to asmrs that repeat things that make me feel better and the way they say things just JSIWOWMSNDJDIEJ. I do like when they're slow too the thought of it being fast makes my heart race even though it's never happened. I'm very picky about videos and usually watch the same ones over and over again. I hate change.
I've had ADD nearly my entire life and I feel the exact same way, both irl and watching ASMR. Sometimes I'll listen to calming background music or soft, subtle, and calm asmr vids while doing things. I dont even have to be watching the vid itself but just by listening to it really calms. I think where our ADD makes us process things slower and makes it more difficult to process things in general, the constant aggressive sounds of things easily overwhelm us, where as the calm ones better fit our slow paced minds. Glad to know I'm not the only one who reacts like that lol. Some of my favorite asmr vids are calm triggers with soft background music to give you that overall calming aesthetic sound
I actually have ADD too, not ADHD and for me it’s actually the exact opposite xD I get really stressed out when an asmrtist stays at a sound for too long because it gives me anxiety when the sound may change it’s almost like a jumps are you’re dreading over a long period of time, but I do agree with the harsh sounds, I can’t listen to any tapping videos where they use their nails because it causes almost immediate sensory overload for me because it sounds so harsh. However, try not to compare yourself too much with other people that have ADD and ADHD, everyone react differently to different things and it doesn’t lessen your worth or make your condition seem less severe or important. Everyone’s ADD and ADHD is different and it’s own kind of way exhausting and disabling

I have ADHD.
Thank you for the ASMR.
That made me comfort.
asmr that is quicker like Jojo's asmr and ones with consistent talking or rambling like some of Glow's videos are the most calming to me. Something like this is also perfect, as previews for longer videos tend to make me tingle the most
Please lets make this a series, also you can do like less triggers but go over them twice or three times throughout the video. This way we can enjoy the triggers we liked more
Thank you so so so much. I really looked for so many asmrs and i listend to a LOT but noone could get me to sleep.. then i see this video (it was 04:30 in the morning and i couldnt sleep) and i fell asleep. Thank you so much😊
