Always loved Offaly hurling, first time in Croker was AI Final 94. Pilkington a gas man. Here's hoping they will eventually be back in contention for top honours.

Since Clare led the first match by 3 points they should have started the game ahead by 3 points and the game should have only lasted about 8 minutes. 2 minutes for regulation and 5 or 6 minutes of injury time. Clare were robbed.

Clare deserve credit for winning in 1995 and again in 1997. But Loughnane's belligerent personality ensured that the successful team of that era never got the accolades they deserved. To some extent history has repeated itself with the champions of 2013 being scarred by Davy Fitzgerald's siege mentality.

It would have been some all-ireland final that year if it was Clare and Kilkenny it would have been a difficult one to call as a Tipp man i would have shouted for Kilkenny that day i still think Clare might have edged by 2 or 3 points they would have had the upper hand physically who knows

Would Colin Lynch let fly like that in the throw-in if he was marking John Leahy of Tipperary if Tipperary where Clare's opponents that day.

Clare were robbed. Offaly benefited from the mad decisions against them. Ironic that Offaly hurling has had no luck since.
