    Just what I needed to learn! Love the emphasis on what the swing should FEEL like! Cognitive understanding of good swing form won't matter if we don't know how to translate it into how that form feels when it's right!

    Eric- THANK you so much. Finally a soilid repeatable move.
    I've struggled with a 2 way miss for YEARS concentrating on clearing the hips. Duck hooks or a dead block right unless my timing was perfect. Worked on this technique at the range for an hour and what a difference in contact. I feel I finally have something that has clicked and will start enjoying the game again .

    you know something ? , I’ve seen lots and lots of videos explaining the “Transition “ and all had a tidbit that helped…..this is the first one that I feel is like an “a ha” moment…….it’s like a teacher explaining something and then another teacher explains the same thing but there’s something they say, show or do that….bingo the light blazes on !! this video did exactly that for me…now I have to apply it

    Another great video. please comment on the feel of the lead hand vs the trail hand on impact. I am unsure if my feel/swing thoughts are the right ones. I feel there is difference in the swing thoughts for the lead vs the trail side. On impact, for the lead side, I visualize slamming the supinating lead hand like a towel, from the inside, through the ball at 30 degrees and for the trail side, I THROW the trail palm more along the target line, slightly more perpendicular to leverage against the ground, then releasing the trail index finger 30 degrees post impact to fully extend the hands. Thank you.

    Great lesson Eric. I have a question. Should the feeling at the start of Phase 2 be a "pull" or a "throw." Thanks for your answer.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  Год назад

      Hey Joe
      Unfortunately that isn't a what's 2+2= sort of question/answer
      if anything the LEAD SIDE will pull and the TRAIL SIDE will push.
      But what someone FEELS will be very subjective. If anyone tells you otherwise I would question that.

    Don't forget at the top of the back swing the club and some body weight is thrown upwards, this will promote the falling that Eric is talking about. Whilst it sounds redundant, throwing the club above the body is only part of it, the other part is "throwing" the upper body under the club and arms. Like a weight lifter pulling the barbell upwards and then moving their body under it to catch the weight, before pushing with the knees. But in the golf swing getting the body under the arms and club for that moment is the opposite. Instead of lifting the weight we drop it.

    At what point should the weight shift to the lead side to begin in transition? Many people say it is before the backswing is completed. Do you agree with that?

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  Год назад +1

      Technically speaking its before the end of the backswing yes.....but from a FEEL perspective it's likely right away from the top of the backswing and gradually left the whole way down

      Hey A P! OF course! We all do----the idea here is to model success! Did you watch the ACTUAL content of ours vs there's?
      The actual content of the video is nothing alike----we like to use other titles and thumbnails that have worked (so does everyone lol)
      We do this in all ways of life really....you model success.
      Of course we put so much time, energy and money into making these videos for you all for free.....so we want to make sure enough people watch.
      Making enough people watch in 2023 on youtube is all about getting clicks from title and thumbnail...thats the game.
      Hope you have a great day!

    Would add this: - - - - @6:13 note Adam Scott's right elbow. From top of backswing to impact, he has gradually set his right elbow somewhere between his right hip and navel. This has been a benefit for me. cheers
