I'm very grateful for this video BUT it's such a pity that it has horrible sound quality. This could have been the most qualitative video on this condition out there, because of the wonderful in-depth talk. But it's not reaching its full potential.
I hope my “mirror-touch synesthesia” doesn’t ever get to the level of the speaker. For the last 10 years I have been affected by the sight of another person falling or being hurt - in real life or a video. Observing such things sends a shock throughout my body. Therefore I can’t watch any violent movies or tv. This doesn’t have a lasting effect - I simply look away or avoid large groups.
I have the shock type feelings as well from fail videos to movies. Then I got it from reading an article about a gruesome injury. To me it’s like the bolt you feel from sciatic pain..
