This was a great presentation...very informative. Nice job. I bet a lot of homeschool groups would love this...now that schools are cancelled. This is what children should be learning. July 24, 2020. 🔪
Great presentation Brooke !!! I miss teaching the Scouts survival and winter camping. I don't have your Alone experience but I've always been fascinated with survival skills. Well done !!!
Next time I have Grandma Camp i am going to show children this video and discuss. Thank you Brooke. I just found your videos so I'm going to watch. I'm 68 but I can teach grandchildren!! Just shared with daughter who home schools four children!!! Good teaching marerial!!
Great video, as always. It must be a warm feeling to be able to pass on information like this to an enthused crowd. I especially liked, at the end, when the Librarians came on to give their assessment of the program. You da Girl! Stay safe and keep breathin'.
Brook, your presentation was absolutely awesome. I’m a huge follower of Creek Stewart and you have added even more information for me. Thank you for sharing.
Great presentation! Always fun (and very practical!) to run through a "what would you do if ... ?" scenario. Thanks for sharing what you know, Brooke! God Bless
Love the presentation..being in a survival situation great way for others to participate and figure out what to do without panic!! thank you for sharing.
Excellent content, great outro too. I love watching survival videos, but have never really considered the possibility of actually being in a real life survival situation. I learned some good things for this video I'm sure. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
After a lifetime of learning to be prepared, I knew what the top three needs are, but You taught me a couple more things to keep in mind, and I thank you for that. You had several items that would double duty as shelter and warmth; I was torn on what to choose, but the situation would dictate that. No one ever goes with that survival blanket, simply because they don't know how to use them.... but they aren't as sturdy as the tarp in a windy situation. You may have said this, and it was edited out: the mind game is critical in surviving any situation, and know your limitations; as well as the limiations of the people in your party. Too many people don't survive in a wilderness crisis, because they go beyond their skill set. Know how to build a fire. Know how to build a shelter. Know how to find your way back to your base camp after searching for water and/or food. Know how to set up signals, so your rescurers can find you. And don't go traipsing off into the wilderness, because experts like The Whipples make it look easy. Stick to what you know.
Another nice informative natural talk , you are very very compassionate about what you do , very much a people person, that's why you are so successful, keep it coming!!!
Another one of your outstanding videos. It is great to see you sharing your knowledge and skills as well as your experiences. Keep up the great job you are doing and keep living your dreams
Wow This was very useful Brooke. Skills that can keep you alive. Thanks for doing this. In today's world you never know when you might need to know these things. Thank you
Keep telling me it's fire, shelter, water, and if the time comes I'll be thinking about what you said. Great public speaking as they say in college. I call it great connection with people.
As a seasoned viewer of your channel, Brook, I picked the 3 that you did. You have taught me to survive and continue to teach me. I applaud what you do.
She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a way of igniting an outdoor passion in everyone. It’s such fun! It’s takes us back to our ancestral roots, back to being human. Thank you Brooke for sharing your knowledge.
This Was Soooooo Awesomeness......Sarah and I were just saying how you can see and Feel your Passion ......Makes for a Great Teacher.....Then those Fabulous ladies talking about it as well....We Both had tears in our eyes....Great Job and Come on Down to Georgia, for our Georgia Bushcraft Gatherings and teach hahaha you and Dave.......Thanks Again for an Awesomeness Video
This is a great class for all ages. Keeping the choices of what I would choose to have with me down to three would be tough! I enjoyed this video greatly.
Great presentation. Tough decisions that depend on the situation. Leatherman, red wool coat, metal cup. I'd have to make a bow drill and Bushcraft a shelter. Thanks again !!!
Great presentation, Brooke. We live right by the BWCAW. (1/2 mile) I am a pilot and subscriber. ALWAYS carry your survival gear. (Even in our vehicles). Always carry my ferral rod with me . (even at a funeral) becomes part of you. So glad we are subscribed to you and Dave. Take care. Greetings from the Arrowhead of MN.
I choose the canteen so I could collect water or whatever the emergency blanket so that I could use it a shelter and a way to catch water or to keep warm and a Ferro Rod to start fires
Hey Brooke thank you for the video Barry educational especially for people oh don't know about surviving in the woods hopefully this video will help them out so thank you for making this video
My first thought was if you were on the plane with me, you would have your camera equipment and we could film our survival and put it on RUclips LOL! My 3 things were fire rod, white tarp and paracord. The stainless cup was definitely a better choice then the paracord. I would love to come to one of your classes. This video was great. This is why when you wanted us to vote on what videos we wanted to see from you, I said all of them. I like the mix you do. All your videos are fun, informative and inspiring. You keep doing what you're doing Brooke. As always, take care and be safe. See you next time. Now on to watching Dave's video.
Excellent presentation Brooke. I think I would take the tarp the cup and the paracord since I always carry a leatherman and a lighter, the two of which I use almost every day.
Hello Brooke, I have just started reading "Hypothermia frostbite and others cold injuries". On page 15 it covers the alcohol danger this video taught me about. It goes on to say that if the liquid reaches back of the throat and the esophagus, the resulting injury is often lethal! I came back to this video to subscribe.
First thing I will grab is my bag then the survival bag...I know mine will keep me safe and fed, warm...Shelter, Fire then water..every thing else comes later...My top three fero rod, multi-tool, and cup...I teach here...Kids have not so many misconceptions ...Great show...
Professor Brooke...survival 101 great teaching moment! You may have saved the lives of some of the people in attendance... down the road...you never know! Great job Brooke!
That was wonderful! Have you done a video that tells where you got this amazing knowledge you have? Really!!! I want to know what you do. I wanna walk through the woods and pick up a great dinner as I'm walking. LOL!!! Is there a school? Thank you for you!
Agree 100% with you and many other comments. Water, shelter, fire 1st priority. Choices you had in the survival bag were numerous and making exact choices multiple thus hard. Your further methods of fire etc great. I only wish such could be part of education though for most city people never used. I used to travel by 4WD with about 1week survival pack and 5L water, always on board, never needed but could have been critical had I ever been stranded. Here in Australia no large animals, main dangers from snakes & spiders and other small pousous critters. Knwledge of what is edible and how to water are high priority, as our nature tends to be sparce and dry.
Brook...what a wonderful presentation...very well done...great information...I agree....you should think about doing this at schools as well as Cabelas or Bass pro....this could save lives for the new or young hiker/hunter...again good job and entertaining as well !!
Awesome Presentation Brooke ,, I loved the enthusiasm of the entire crowd ,, especially the youth........Even in the environments some people live ,, there is little effort put towards learning how to survive past a catastrophe,,doesn't have to be in the woods......In todays world it seems that whenever situation arises ,,the younger generations first response is. " Is there an app for that" .......lol.. I think more parents should see how many of their children would trade their techy game for a ferro rod and multitool...........As always Brooke ...Stay Safe and God Bless.....
EVERY TIME I FLY WITH PILOT PRESENT I WATCH HIS AIRCRAFT COMPASS AND NOTE WHERE WE ARE AFTER TAKING OFF BUT I HAVE A NATURAL INSTINCT ON WHERE I AM I AM AN AVID MAP STUDIER I WOULD HAVE ALREADY SCOPED OUT ALTERNATIVE DIRECTION
BRAVO BROOK🔥🔥🔥Your hat!!! it can be used too for multiple uses ....catching water head warmth , fire starter, name what else with the hat please ??? please... you've got me all fired up 🔥🔥🔥😂
THIS, along with gardening, canning, & other basic skills, are what should be being taught in schools. Wish you were closer!
yesss agree
This was a great presentation...very informative. Nice job. I bet a lot of homeschool groups would love this...now that schools are cancelled. This is what children should be learning. July 24, 2020. 🔪
Are you crazy?????????
The global government crowd would never allow that. They want people stupid and dependent not self sufficient.
Yes I agree. the first 3 priority items. But lets be practical and take the whole survival package. Its all there lets use it!
Great presentation Brooke !!! I miss teaching the Scouts survival and winter camping. I don't have your Alone experience but I've always been fascinated with survival skills. Well done !!!
Your a natural teacher. So glad you followed your calling and share what you know in such a fun way. Thanks Brooke
Thank you! Got my mind out of the box and Happeee!

lotta fun thanks!
Wonderful presentation. Important things we all need to know. What confidence young children would have learning all this. 👍
That is a nice course for beginners and it will teach them the items they need in certain situations like an emergency rescue.
It was a pleasant change of pace to see you in a class room teaching! Great to see you sharing your skills.
Brook, your presentation was absolutely awesome. I’m a huge follower of Creek Stewart and you have added even more information for me. Thank you for sharing.
