Founded by Miley Cyrus, The Happy Hippie Foundation is a nonprofit organization that rallies young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth, and other vulnerable populations.

She is a deep alto, this type of singer has always existed, but they often are not promoted. I love her voice. She ain't gonna dazzle in the upper end of the 6th octave and slide into the 7th, but she can belt it out in the low end of the 3rd, maybe even the top of the 2nd if required. Her only contemporary is probably Cher.

It's not live. This was recorded in a studio and overlayed on them performing outdoors. You can't get that sort of sound quality in an outside environment. No autotune though!
even if it was recorded live, i would imagine the sounds aren't amped, then played and recorded from a mic...
i would guess that everything fed into a mixer, got recorded and at the same time that same signal was then amped and played on speakers.
there is a bid difference in quality between recording something from a loudspeaker and recording a line level input that can be mixed before being recorded...
It's so nice to hear a female singer that isn't a soprano. So many female singers now try to see how high they can go but almost none of them have good technique, so it's just loud and grating. It's just refreshing to hear a female singer that embraces having a lower voice.
Agree. it's nice to hear lower pitched female voices instead of higher ones, they often start screeching when they hit the high notes and the overall sound can be very unpleasant to listen to.
