For the guys that keep asking me about the backing track⬇ I looped a part of a live version and added some guitar but sadly I lost the backing track :(
I’m trying to play it by ear to help my ear training lol. I’ve only got to about 25 seconds in though so far . That’s. 3 30 minute sessions , although I’ve been getting to grips with the transcribe program while doing it too. Some cool licks in there
Man this is totally insane i love your use of dynamics it keeps the whole thing really interesting and draws you in more and more even though its 6 minutes long its excellent dude where did you get this backing track from
What makes you improvise like that? Is it your regular practice to improve these slash style licks? Or this is just extra ordinary talent effortlessly Because when i improvise i often makes a lot of mistakes but this seems effortless without messing up
It's difficult to say because everybody is different and learns differently. What worked for me was to learn a lot of songs and solos by ear and not use any kind of tabs or written notes too much. That way, my hearing and feel for the “right” notes got a lot better when it comes to improvising. Not to say that reading sheet music and learning your scales and all that stuff is not important, but I feel like the learning by ear approach gets forgotten sometimes. At first, it's slow and at times annoying, of course, but it is worth it in the long run. After a LOT of practicing and time, I gathered so many licks and riffs that I was able to combine them freely and also come up with own original ideas. Hope that helps and thanks for watching :)
@@SimonGuendling Thank you, That was deeply explained and helpul. I am also a musician from pre youtube and tab era but i am from a place where there was no exposure of western music a lot and i didn’t know these styles but after RUclips it changed everything. Thx! I've been playing for 13 years now. Back in the day I practiced a couple hours every day. Hard to say. I learned a lot by ear. Of course I learned scales and chords and all that basic stuff first, but after that I focused on learning songs by ear which helped me a lot with my improvisation skills.
Maybe slow down a bit and try to play your licks with a metronome?! Kinda hard to tell what the exact problem is. Timing and rhythm came pretty natural to me. So maybe I'm not the right person to ask haha :)
this backing track was cuted from the song and repeated you can find ruclips.net/video/5_TM4JN0B2c/видео.html for who dont know slash a dorien mode in f#

Está na escala de A maior??
What setup of amp you use?
It's a Marshall SL5. Thx for watching!
i dont understand what kind of scale slash used to play, can you help me?
It's a mix between the blues scale, minor pentatonics, major pentatonics and Dorian mode. In the key of F# in this case.
Thanks a lot
Do you use delay
Not in this video :) Greetings
nice!!! amp?
Thx! Marshall SL5
What scales are you playing from? And what key?
Mostly minor pentatonic scale with some diminished 5th.
Nice man , how long to u play and how can u practice the rythm everything is on spot ? How do u practice it ?
