Maybe my favorite DEVO cover. This is why: I smiled through the whole thing. DEVO's appeal to me was that they conveyed basic human truths without taking themselves too seriously. This is one of their deepest existential shouts at the universe. It shows us what we have given up to be humans today and personally gives me hope for the future. I think the intent was to help us smile through the tears of humanity. That's what I did while listening to your cover. Too many artists make this a "sad" song. You rock, I'm subbed.
