Are you going to mix in silver so the gold isn't so soft? I'm just curious
The higher the carat, the softer the gold gets. If I remember correctly. Most gold jewellery is created with 16-18 carat gold.
@@susear5939 Yeah, that's what I mean. The customer gave a pure gold bar, and pure gold is just too soft to make a ring out of. The short didn't show this, but I wondered if the guy mixed in silver or something to bring it down to lower carat
