Ray Tracing/Path Tracing settings for the game: Off - RTGI Only Medium - RT Sun Shadows High - RT Reflections Full RT - Indirect Illumination (and all of the above)
1:38 really shows how different the game can look. 😮 For the flickering sun I would at least use Pathtracing Medium as a must have! And set Texture Pool to Medium or low when 12GB or less vram.
Yes you can. I own 4080, in 4k with dlss performance + fg, full path tracing get 70-80 FPS in more demanding areas (forest), 90-110 FPS in places like Vatican.
@@Qbon83 If you are having to use DLSS performance then you are nowhere near your native 4k resolution. What is the point? To just say you can run full path tracing..?
@@AdiiS I have the one thing that is better so all else is poo. I don't think that is productive logic. Nvidia should have better competition. With Intel giving more VRAM to budget cards we may be in better shape for the 6000 series. What DLSS setting are you running at to have full PT tracing. I guarantee you it is not native or DLAA for 80+ fps, especially at 4k.
@@DG-si3mv lol no. I have from 60-100fps with all maxed settings and PT on, at 4K DLSS Quality, the picture quality is perfect and the gamplay with a DualSense gamepad feels smooth as butter. Only possible with a 4090. 4080 is just a weak card.

Is the VRAM showing allocation or actual use?
Only shadows worth it otherwise game looks 90% same
I agree , just use this command in console to stop the flicking shadows and pop in. '' r_lodScale 5_ '' No need to use PT to fix that mess. :)
Because it always uses rt
As for reflections, nature doesn't have plane surfaces
Can’t wait to take advantage of path tracing on my RTX 7090 because I can’t now with my 4080 lol
RTX 4080 is a poop card. My 4090 has no problems running full PT without frame gen. There is that. No need for a "7090"

what an engine, goes to show how good ID tech is that pathtracing looks a little bit better than low rt lol
