Thanks for watching my video. I gathered all the songs I shot at this show in a RUclips playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLwdc0qZNx0tbzrIzUAa23O_acPXB1ZmZS. The songs are In The Morning Light (Billy Strings), City Of Immigrants (Steve Earle & Emmylou Harris), My Name Is Emmett Till (Emmylou Harris), My Alice (Billy Strings), Goodbye (Steve Earle & Emmylou Harris), Raise The Dead (Emmylou Harris and Steve Earle), Running On Empty (Jackson Browne and Billy Strings), Love And Regret (Billy Strings), Jerusalem (Steve Earle and Jackson Browne), Indoor Fireworks (Elvis Costello), I Am A Patriot (Jackson Browne), While I'm Waiting Here (Billy Strings), and Pilgrim (All). Enjoy!
Tim - thank you! There’s so much going on here: Billy the young genius next to Jackson the poet laureate, etc. Billy commands on Jackson’s Running on Empty and Jackson lets him! Or did he not have a choice?!
Thanks so much for sharing these precious videos with us Tim. 🙏 What an incredible night that must have been! I'm 66 years old and have been a Jackson Browne fan for most all my adult life. I first saw Billy perform at the Hoxeyville Music Festival in mid-Michigan in 2017. I'd never heard of him and almost left before he went on to close out the festival that Sunday night but I'm glad I didn't because he *totally* blew me away and I've been a fan ever since. I met and talked to him after the show for a while and you couldn't hope to meet anyone as gracious, kind, humble, humorous, gracious and wise for his age. His astonishing success in the 5 short years since then has been amazing and well-deserved. (The videos I shot of his performance that night can be found here - ruclips.net/channel/UCleb_u9j8vTeIpsRFWmzqOgvideos )️ Apologies for the long-winded segue...🙄Fast-forwarding back to now: To see and hear Billy sitting *right next to* Jackson and joined by Emmylou, Steve and those other fine musicians has been a unique treat and delight. I wish I'd been there but thanks to you and your camera all of us who weren't there are now been able to at least partially experience the event for ourselves. Thoroughly enjoyable. ❤ Great job!👍
I know people go on and on about billy's guitar playing, and he is a great guitar player, but bluegrass is full of great guitar players.what stands out about Billy is his ability to be the whole package Singe,r Songwriter, musician, and performer, and can play in many styles.most artist can't check all those boxes.
I feel fortunate enough to have found Billy early on and see him at several small venues. I miss those days but he deserves all of his successes. It makes me happy to see him up there on stage with some of my other musical heroes.
a little kid from Northern Lower Michigan possessed by souls from Detroit...and Chicago.....and Memphis......and Nashville......and Biloxi.....and New Orleans.......all in one
I was raised on JB, and BMFS never ceases to impress me. These two legends on stage together is what my dreams are made of. Cannot wait to see BMFS again next month in Philly!
This is easily one of the most beautiful songs lyrically I've ever heard. He can really do no wrong. Even as a person who is not a huge dead fan, when he covers dead songs I become a fan.
Thank you for sharing this video Apostol you are the best an I believe that you know it but I will always treasure you sweetness love always your Sunshine 🔆 keep smiling
Loving these videos. I had Jackson Browne's Running on Empty in my head last two days and love how Billy covers it. Did a little google search thinking I'd play the original and stumbled on Tim's video. How pleasing. This entire set is a treasure -- somehow I never caught wind of this show earlier this fall. The talent on stage is top notch and pretty telling when someone like Billy is invited into the fold. Such a young, humble guy with a very old soul. Man, he's seen some things and has stories to tell. Never knew that this song came from a dream with Jerry -- all the sweeter knowing that tidbit!
hey, mccartney wrote "yesterday" the same way.....following in some big footsteps...and it's working great for you. fantastic! (and thanks jerry..he'd be proud)

You can't do anything but wish him the best, but I agree, those early shows with way less than 100 people were golden times...

What a beautiful work of art. That song grows on ya. Thanks Jackson for letting this lad have time on your concert
Billy channeling Jerry so nicely ❤
We saw Jerry many times on that Warfield stage and this is right in the sweet spot, reminds me a little of Russian Lullaby
Sing it Billy
