something about the colors on those photos that you can't replicate on digital. great video Louis, definitely have been interested myself in getting into film a little bit maybe i'll look into this camera as a good starting point 😊
Great vid. There are some work arounds to improve the rangefinder patch clarity. Blue cellophane, small square of electrical tape and or a sharpie. FYI
That's really interesting. I'm curious to hear more about your style and aesthetic and why you prefer certain film stocks over others. I'm still getting used to film photography and learning about the unique looks of different stocks. What is it about Ektar that doesn't appeal to you? Is it because of the color saturation, because that's a common criticism that I've heard.
It was absolutely the color saturation... I definitely prefer more muted tones in terms of color saturation (especially in the greens and oranges) and those ektar photos in the video were edited to lower saturation quite a bit. As you can tell they were still quite saturated. I preferred the look of fuji c200 but I've purchased some portra 400 and fuji pro 400h to test as well so I expect to make a video about that as well. Thanks for the comment!
@@LouisKobetz Oh I see. Yea I saw your ektar photos and my first impression was that they didn't seem as saturated as other people's photos, so that makes sense. Portra is quite warm and pastel-y, which is why it's so popular, but I've never tried fju c200 before. Good to know and great review
Really like the pictures Louis! Always really enjoy your videos, Keep it up!
Thanks man!
