I’ve had youtube premium for the last 7 years and haven’t paid for a streaming service once in that time. No regrets, but I do wonder about a quality difference. I can always find interesting things to watch on youtube but I undoubtedly miss out on some really good movies & tv
I wonder then if it will always be a conversation of just 'who can sell authenticity the best?' In that case, an individual influencer or streamer is going to win against a large-scale production every time

Maybe another reason is it's just expensive
Influencers are only selling you the idea of authenticity; It's as heavily edited and produced as other stuff but made to look "amateur" on purpose.
