A little tip for people starting a new Shade, some of the monsters from his starter area can only be found there so try to add them to monster collection before leaving.
Pro tip
I main shade mainly because the simplicity of the class. The class has a consistent damage output with a some burst. Don't skip Shade's story because it's quite interesting!! Love the video, keep it up!!

As a Shade main I gotta say his mobility made me lazier the more I play him. After a while of getting used to his mechanics I end up grinding and moving around with one hand, giving me the other hand for snacks LOL.
Fox Trot brings me to the nearest monster and combined with jump I can just tp to the top platform.
Back Step brings me back to the same location.
Blade Imp literally grabs monsters from top plat so I don't have to worry about moving vertically.
Even if I need vertical moving I can use the 5th job Rope Lift to the top and fall back to plat 1.
I really appreciate this video, since I don't see a lot of Shades around even though he's so fun :'(
I was a Pathfinder main a while ago, but i was bored with it when i reached lvl 200. Then i decided to create Shade since it seems underated and its skills looks pretty!
Im training it rn at lvl 178. I was surprised that i enjoyed the class simple and clean mechanics (unlike pathfinder). So i decided to main my shade :D Btw im in Bera. Name as Hirayamo :)

Just to let you know, in the event coin shop there is an item that allows you to create another burning character for like 500 coins or something. Love these 1-200 vids recently keep it up :)

"It can take almost ten minutes to level up" Pardon me as I have flashbacks of myself training on b3 as a level 50 something cleric, pre ludi. I think the exp rate was like what, 25% every hour? After doing a jump quest just to get there?
No... it was more like 5% an hour at lvl 50 at b3, plus you can only stay for 30min before restarting JQ so yea, although I grinded at zombie lupins instead
@@Dnite13 you just repeated what I said in a slightly different way. Zlupins wasnt as good as b3. Plus you got a nice handful of ore to sell for doing it. I would go to the zlupin tree when I was tired of looking at a train, but that's about it. Z3 was a blessing when el Nath came out, at least.
I love how you mentioned at 180+ that leveling takes "long" in quotation marks. Boy was level 29 -> 30 in 2005 a bummer. 2-4 hours per level, planning Thief and constantly running out of mana... the good times. This makes me wanna play GMS but it seems hard with all the dailies :(

I remember back in the day my Dutch friends would use VPNs to play the Global servers with me xD but not because of me, because the Global servers were better or *something* :P
@@MetalY2KMusic I still had a global account and after some time they dropped the whole 'EU -has- to play in EU servers'. They did it pretty quickly too btw. But yeah, EU servers were devided on languages. So you had like 5 worls english, 5 spanish, 2 french, 2 german, ect ect. So one server was also devided.

Hello!I am currently playing Shade. I just wanted to know how are you managing being in Sinister Rocky Mask area? I keep getting close to death HP with 5 attacks while being a level 183... How are you keeping your HP in a stage of not receiving much damage?

Do you think you can do equipment videos and an update to monster training after 150?
It was almost 15 years ago since i first played maplestory. There was only 4 classes to choose from and leveling was difficult as hell. It will take an average play 1 year with around 6 hours of gameplay per day to level 80.

i thought that reboot was just a new server, i didn't know it had all these changes that sound really good for someone who doesn't have a fat wallet.
axelskull reboot is fairly new, as it’s the newest server (burning aside) and yes, it’s good for f2p!

Kanna is pretty easy to level up just make sure u have right equips, stand still and afk B)
Who would you say are the hardest 3 classes? I'm looking for a character that's flashy and requires you to pay attention while grinding

You should train the most forgotten class
Cannoneer, angelic buster, or Kaiser. For example. I never see them anywhere
I use cannoneer and hayato. Ain’t see many of us around

I remember about 7 years ago when Angelic Buster came out and i did a crazy 26 hr grind to become the first lvl 200 with by far the fastest time ever.
Now is seems so easy.

You made me come back to maple. I had a lvl 150 mercedes from when it was released. I am totally lost as lvl 150 mobs 3-hit me and I deal 100k ish damage. What should I do to gear up? I only got 66m on scania by the way
scroll your equipment and star force it, press O and use the spell traces you will get from drops, then drag your item in the slot and scroll until you get to 15 stars (because you don’t want to blow up your item

Battle mage 5th job or buccaneer where you only have to jump around with a skill on. If you're strong enough of course

Due to the current burning event, I am leveling up a bowmaster to be my main. lvl 157 and my dmg range is 110-120k. what are the best ways to increase range?
Starforcing and cubing are the fastest, legion and link skills are the slowest but can be worth the grind
I recommend getting a kanna and demon avenger to lvl 120 (or 210 for DA if you have that time) since their link skills directly boost damage. Xenon also has a decent link skill, as it gives all stat%.

Is there guilds and groups in MapleStory this days? I feel boring playing alone and would be nice to level with other people. I dont play MMORPGs to play alone.
There are guilds and such. Though a lot of training seems to be done solo due to map sizes and exp leeching. Which is a real shame.

I had shades kink skill but it was bootyhole, the explorer warrior is the same and it works 100% of the time with a 6 minute cool down roughly

In OG Maple it used to take me a day to get to level30....good times but never again lol
