Arguably Monster Jam's most underrated truck. Incredible it still sees use today, and it's LONG overdue for a championship win. It wouldn't surprise me, that a Blue Thunder win, is coming soon. Todd Leduc is pushing this thing to it's limits, as it should be.
IMO blue thunder still has a win because of the Tie it had that resulted in a tie breaker But blue thunder was able cause that tie in the first place so it was good enough to win
I really miss the old Super Duty body style. I hope FELD either brings it back (We know they're still made in that body style since Stone Crusher still runs it) or upgrades it to a modern super duty. To me, It just isn't fitting at all for Blue Thunder to be an F-150 body. Especially since that body style is 10-15 years old now and seems to be getting phased out slowly.
You should be thankful that FELD still has a pickup truck these days. Almost everything has been 3D bodies and not real life trucks such as the pickup. (Btw I am not referring to independents and I’m also not talking about retired trucks)
I’m just gonna put this out there I definitely think Kirks did a little inspiration for the one present I really do they could’ve been worried people would come after them for copyright or something
I honestly think since blue thunder lost it's main sponsor in 2013 and had the new body change, Blue thunder has had a dramatic downfall when it comes to the fans. I used to love blue thunder it was one of my favorites. But after the change in 2013 I lost interest in the truck. That's just my view.
As a kid, Blue Thunder was my favorite truck and El Toro Loco was my older brothers favorite. I remember we bought a dvd of Monster Jam Tour Crushers which included highlights of both trucks. I hope they bring the old style back one day.
I strongly dislike the 2013 body. The Super Duty body stood out, but the F 150 looks like a lot of other trucks. Not to mention the horrendous light blue color. If needs be, the F 150 can work, as has been the case with Hot Wheels using it a few times, but it would look infinitely better with the old dark blue scheme.
After the Ford sponsorship ended it’s understandable that Feld would reboot the brand in a different shade of blue and a different body. Not sure why some fans can’t accept change 🤷♂️
@@stevenfarrington2361 With the body, like I said, it just looks like all the other trucks that used it. If they did something like the 3D body Shocker used to have, I’d be fine with that. It’s not so much how it looks, but how generic it looks.
Holy shit, can't remember any other truck being able to do wheelies from a dead stop. I know it's kinda unwanted especially when it comes to racing but damn that's cool.
i remember being at monster jam at stafford years ago and in the pit party my dad noticed the truck actually had a chevy motor in it despite it still having the ford body/sponsor
Blue Thunder will always be the Best Truck and will always be My Favorite Childhood Truck Right Next to Max D, El Toro Loco, Bounty Hunter, King Krunch, Stone Crusher, Medusa, Monster Mutt, and Monster Mutt Dalmatian
My absolute favorite monster truck to date. And I think the very first Blue thunder with the super duty body and the small logo might be my favorite one out of all the other Blue Thunders.
Awesome video! One question I have after seeing it go through so many driver changes is, will Todd LeDuc stay in Blue Thunder for the long haul or will another driver take over some time in the coming years? I actually think that other than Monster Energy, Blue Thunder really suits him P.S. You should do a video highlighting the most iconic MJ moments of all time
I know I might be in the minority here, But I personally like the newer Blue Thunder look because the F-150 body style feels more modern to me (Not the Super Duty body was considered dated) and the new lighter blue paint scheme makes the truck more vibrant and lively in my opinion (Again, Not that the dark blue scheme was considered dull).
Aside from Grave Digger, Blue Thunder would be my favorite monster truck in Monster Jam. Aside from Matt Cody's Speedster World Championship, I wanna see Blue Thunder win a World Title, especially since some former World Champions have even driven said truck, like Todd Leduc and Pablo Huffaker.
Please do the hotwheels monster jam team I love that team as kid because of the hotwheels brand I wanna know the history of the relationship between hotwheels and monster jam

I miss the Super Duty body as well. It's very nostalgic. However, I actually don't mind the F-150 body. I kinda like the way it looks on some trucks

I miss the super duty body and the dual flags too
Even though it never won a world championship, Blue Thunder will always be awesome.
I loved this truck. It was my favorite as a kid. So sad it never got a world championship, cause it deserved to win freestyle in 2013.
2005 was deserving as well
Blue Thunder is one of the greatest underrated monster trucks in Monster Jam
It’s not underrated, it’s in the right spot.
Nice to see the Monster Jam Evolution of Blue Thunder!
There was another Blue Thunder monster truck in the 80s
Yep, the one the Dabney's had.
The Camero
The O.G.

Blue thunder was my favorite growing up. I still remember just how loud that truck was compared with the rest of the crowd. Just an amazing truck
Rest In peace Tony 🙏 you're gone but never forgotten.
This truck is where simple and creative come together. IMO the best truck to ever exist
I strongly dislike the 2013 body. The Super Duty body stood out, but the F 150 looks like a lot of other trucks. Not to mention the horrendous light blue color. I don't know if it's just me but I like the 2001 body and 2013

I always liked the 2013 body, but I will say I personally think the 2013 scheme woulda looked amazing on the super duty body.
I was 14 when this truck first showed up. It was always a threat to ..y favorite drivers. Had to respect the oower
Its crazy how Todd Leduc drove blue thunder in 2011 and 11 years later he drives it again

a minute of silence for Tony Farrel and Dalton Mallican 🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
I love Blue Thunder ever since, I had those big Monster Truck toys and I would watch Monster Jam every Sunday
Lyle Hancock is my dad! Thanks for taking the time to make this video!

Holy moly! I am so excited to see this!!
I was at the 2016 Young Guns Shootout and we actually sat close to Tyler Menninga's... I can't remember if they were his parents or grandparents
What the hell are you even talking about ?
It's very sad that Dalton Millican and Tony Farrell had died... But at least they're performing monster truck shows in heaven...
When did Dalton Millican pass on?

Same year as Tony Farrell
Linsey Weenk’s new Cohen chassis debuted at the final Metrodome show.

The Ford Built Tough and Twin Flag Blue Thunder was the best imo
I'll miss blue thunder I hope they bring it back again

This is a awesome video and blue thunder was the first truck that I ever saw.
My favorite truck of all time! Blue thunder is fantastic
Blue thunder is a hard truck to see now days but I was happy to see it back at Ford Field earlier this year and hopefully it keeps a driver next year

I remember blue thunder At the county fair. They always try to bring a heavy hitter to bring a show. And I will always remember that.
I remember seeing Blue Thunder at World Finals 14. Up until that event, I hadn’t seen the truck in a long while.
My first favorite monster jam truck

Wow, so many Grave Digger drivers have been behind the wheel of this iconic truck, fitting, since it's my new favorite truck over the Diggers.
Blue Thunder has always been my favorite monster truck!
Blue thunder actually dates back to 1980s with a blue thunder made which is actually a monster car

its def one of the most iconic Ford trucks in Monster Jam. but there is one more i would say is even more iconic.
I’ve always wondered if Blue Thunder was Monster Jam’s version of Bigfoot..,
It was it's replacement basically.
The greatest monster truck that has never won a championship
Well one of them at least

Anyone else miss wen the trucks would break really easily and have flat tires
Yea. It's a safety reason tho. I guess.
You didn’t mention about tony ferralas death rip tony 🪦
what if red Thunder was a Chevy ...?
I'll be honest.. they should have kept Blue Thunder with a Super Duty body. Idk, I just feel like the truck its self sort of lost its identity..
Can u do El Toro Loco next plz???

2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 (in a tv show world's toughest jobs), 2009 and 2010
