There is a small tract behind Kean,opposite where you were. Called the Kennedy reservation. Some stagnant creeks, underdeveloped,lots of blowdown.i think they may do something with it. Good place for your dog,behind green lane.
Over the years I used to take the raritan valley line from Bridgewater to Newark, and every where in between. I used to like the “one seat” timea where it would go straight into penn station NYC without having to switch cars in Newark
You might try experimenting with insoles for those boots with your sore toe. If the boot has an insole, try taking it out. It might give your toes more room.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t wanna live in North Jersey! The weather has been crazy the last couple months really you would think it should be a little warmer. We’ve actually not been doing much mountain biking because of it.
