To all those who fought the fires, thank you. You saved lives.
And I don't just mean the firefighters, both paid and volunteers, who put their lives on the line to save Australians. The people who donated, the people who helped to get others to safety, the people that supplied others when they needed it most. There is nothing more Australian than the unity shown during Black Summer.
And thank you to the ABC, for always being there. Nobody captures the Australian spirit like they do.

Bless everybody and stay strong Australia 🇦🇺! My sister is living in Canberra with her family. It’s breaking our hearts here all over the world. Bless those volunteer firefighters! Volunteer agencies, helping everyone they can. RIP to the millions of animals, people who have lost their lives over these bushfires.

They should defund ABC (FAKE NEWS). Corrupt cocaine crocodile tears grubs.
Give the money to RFS (Rural Fire Fighter) instead. Our government are corrupt rats.

How long will it be until the townsfolk see this alleged money that has been donated from all over the world? How much of a percentage of those funds will reach the victims themselves? How much will the insurance jump up after this is said and done and what about our food security? What about the water rights and water allocation? What about our resources being sold off from underneath us? What about the govt giving themselves dual citizenship a few months back when a heap of parliamentarians and judges were fired for the same thing in 2017??
I've spent the last two weeks missioning up and back from Melbourne to Albury\Wodonga region with so far 4 carloads of urgently required donated items that have been requested on the ground because the mass exodus of all those people from the East Coast (300km odd stretch of our coastline) meant there was next to nothing on the shelves in those towns people had fled to!!
Australian Media (You ABC! - YT Link - watch?v=lpn-w0ISJOc) has been misinforming the masses for weeks now saying 'only give cash' when these people literally need physical items and provisions to survive! There are overflow warehouses set up to take extra needed items for physical donation ! These people cannot use cash as a P2 mask and cannot eat cash either
Salvos were not sending out any logistics on the Friday two weeks ago the day before the catastrophic weather forecast which is why I went up there and made two urgent donations of physical items as listed on the restart albury wodonga website and now have a group set up to co-ordinate donations from Melbourne to Albury - how was I and only a handful of other normal Aussies the ones to figure out the towns would be emptied of supplies due to the mass exodus? Did they not learn anything from Black Saturday? And I heard only 30% of houses built after Black Saturday that were supposed to be fireproof actually were? There are people out there clearly not doing a good job when people like myself are picking up the slack where there are holes in the system - and two days ago 30 people were found at Lankeys Creek that had been stranded and hadn't had any food for a week- how does that happen with Walwa and Corryong just up the road?? And how did the fires start on the way out of Corryong in the closed off logging area without any wind??
There are people sleeping on the side of the road and in shopping centre carparks - there are people who have been whisked out of their house without prescription medication or prescription glasses and there are things that the centrelink food voucher will not cover nor the Army (which got there after I did)
What about the farmers who are affected by drought? Do they get a cut of some of this funding?? So much more could be done and should have been done months ago!!!!!
